1. Yeap, I think it was already done lol This is really quite cute :rofl2: If these were made available, I think they'd sell :rofl2: Sorry for the disconnected quote (I'm just a previous lurker trying to post more on this friendly forum)--- how do I quote a portions of a quote?
2. Thank you for pointing this out again. That is a slur that was used in WWII and should be avoided. I usually use Jpn as an abbreviation for Japan, Japanese , just like the Post Office does :s_wink
3. I talked to a photographer who met him in Helsinki and said that Yuzu is 1,75 tall. Average height of guys in Japan is about 171 cm, I think. So he grew quite a bit---wonder if his biography will be updated eventually.
4. I have asthma and slightly allergic to cats, but that never stopped us from having one or two cats around the house all the time. Summer in Japan is hot and humid, so my asthma always got worse then, so we had one of those air filtering fans, which helped a lot, even with the cats around. Here's hoping Yuzu is a cat person---Space Kitty carrying a fluffly little cat---how cute can you get  ! A bit off topic---hope I can attend the church before I become too old to appreciate it :rofl2:
5. Happy Yuzu's back in Toronto too---controlled practice sessions and far away from the Japanese press is much better! When did we find out last year about the SP and FS---short memory span and forgot already ? And happy first aniversary too and thanks to everyone who made this site possible :pbow: :pbow: :pbow:
6. Thanks Fresca This was a pic from a newspaper in the UK. However, even though it's likely a Photoshopped image, I thought it was really unique. Anyway, we're always dancing in the clouds with happiness when we watch Yuzu skate
7. I have read the comments below the article. Can't agree more. Little late to this discussion. I also agree that Yuzu's ability to train hard and have discipline is not just a product of Asian (Japanaese) culture---it's intrinsic to him. Having raised two kids in Japan, I can attest to the fact that there are too many different personalities to describe Asians by the "hard-working, never question authority" stereotype :nono: , especially nowadays (and even before). I think it is true that kids may not question authority as much as in some Western countries, but when they are talking with their friends and maybe their parents, there's lots of debating.
8. I'd like to marry his analytical mind which lets him change his programs on the fly and do those YOLO moves

10. Did not know his favorite colour is red, which by some strange coincidence is my favorite colour too  I like the idea of combining a mainly black costume (a nod to the UA  enthusiasts) with burgundy red (or bright red) on the upper part, which would emphasize his shoulders, and of course lots of bling! If the Olympic good luck color is blue, maybe dark navy blue, instead of black. Guess we will have to see what the SP and FS music is and then our imaginations can run wild  Past costumes, liked H&L, first version of the Chopin costume, R&J 1 (for sentimental reasons), Phantom. I'm neutral about the boob shirt  , so far.
