Yes, that step sequence was sensational , even though I was too far away to see his face clearly. I was there and that's when I became a fan and after that, I could never watch a competition live or on TV without getting stressed, but is all worth it!

Got my Music with Wings programme today 😃! Very pretty purple cover with gold writing/trim and a small gold feather on the back. Lots of "historical" pics of Yuzu---what a cute kid---and beautiful grown-up ones as always! Anyone else received theirs?

This was a fantastic program, with very good sound and no CM. It was good hear the entire pieces of some, not just the skating cuts. Just thinking how good the skating would be with live orchestra, like the Seimei at the MOI.

Blue seems calmer than red, but blue flames burn hotter than red ones

https://this.kiji.is/596520671908349025 Seems to be true— changing the programs to Chopin and Seimei according to this 11 am news release! Daisyjune and I posted almost at the same time!

I think this is a terrific idea too! Like the idea of having both our Planet handle and our real name on it. Like many of you, I can remember faces much better than names and feel a bit sheepish about having to ask people their names when I've already met them before. The other thing is when I'm actually trying to find out where a group of Satellites is meeting when there isn't anyone I've met before in that group, I often asked complete strangers if they are members of the Planet; most of the time, this is okay, but I've also gotten some puzzled looks from strangers at competitions .

For those you who can get CS Asahi 2, they are running a series of Special Requests programs from 8-12:30 , 3 Jan 2020, Japan time, all skaters, including Yuzu, roughly chronicological order, theme, but just what the programmers feel like 🤡. At 12:30-3:30 pm, the tv listing says there will be a special on Yuzuru Hanyu and Russian skaters— don’t think this is new and it’s rebroadcast of material from Asahi, but might be worth a watch, since it’s always good to see our boy!

Akemashite omedeto gozaimasu (Happy New Year) to all the Satellites. Wishing Yuzuru and all of you a healthy and content 2020!
-
I’m going to Worlds too😀! And My New Years resolution is to keep both eyes open during all of Yuzu’s jumps, especially the first one, no matter how stressed out I am 😂!
-
Gosh, forgot all about the highlights! Will record and watch only the ‘important’ portions

As of this morning, my broadcast schedule says 7-8:55 pm (Japan time) BS Fuji, 29 Dec for the longer MOI broadcast.

Yep, we’re all happily in the Fanyu bog (pond of admiration sounds more positive 😀) together and not trying hard to get out at all

🤩 Wow! Must get these clear files ! However, although I love to collect them, they always seem too precious to use 😝

Happy Christmas from the southern part of Japan. Thanks to all the satellites for cheering together for Zu and diffusing the stressful times. Looking forward to all your posts in the second part of the skating season.

I have faith that Yuzu will know the appropriate time to retire and we don't have to worry about the Ashita no Joe scenario. I think he has really matured intellectually and physically over the last 10 years and even though he is a fierce warrior that will aim for the best version of himself, he will know when he reaches his physical limitations, but his artistic vision is boundless and can well extend into his non-competition years in the future.

My cocoa would have a generous scoop of whipped cream, sprinkled liberally with kinako and drizzled with lots of kuromitsu😃.

I watched Skate America on YT live, Chromecast to my TV, but even then the sound was hit or miss, so I'm not sure if it is worse on the video replays. The audience sound was too loud and the music kept on going in and out or changing volume. Also, the sound was much lower on YT than it is usually, so it may be a problem with the broadcast. Hopefully, they will iron out the issues before SC, especially the lack of a score box for some skates and the long wait for the scores. I'm not very "emotionally invested" in SA, so that was okay, but SC on the other hand...

If you look at the whole of the clear file street clothes pic, I think that looks like a mixed material jacket, with knit sleeves since the light grey portion seems attached to the jacket-like portion. Which means that I'm studying the photo much too carefully, instead of doing work like I should be doing right now. It's either that or my mind just can't accept the alternative.

Agree that learning to switch Japan Amazon to English or having somewhat a grasp of Japanese is definitely dangerous for the wallet! It's very easy to order from them, unfortunately

Count me in on the low alcohol dehydrogenase contingent. I have a very low alcohol tolerance and if I drink more than a few sips of even beer, this causes my asthma to act up and I start wheezing, not to mention turning very red. Wonder if Yuzu's asthma gets worse if he drinks? Also, can't use alcohol on my skin.

It seems like there will be a one-to-one interview with Yuzu by Nakayama Mika (an announcer?) on Mon, June 24, at 8-10:25 Jpn time, or maybe recorded before and will show tomorrow. Hope someone who can understand Japanese better than me will give a full translation of the above. Is this going to be live somewhere? Another middle of the night event for me to watch

Harder than getting tickets to WC. Well, I need to be unrealistically optimistic---at least I can watch it on TV from far away.
