I'll be in Japan around that time too, but have never attempted to get tickets to Japan Nationals. Is there a lottery like for the other events in Japan and if so, when is it held? Think with it being in Tokyo, it will be very hard to get tickets this year. I'll asked by son to give it a try, although I'm not optimistic!

I'm not a good translator, but it seems like they want Yuzu to get medical treatment for his hand and eye or around the eye area (something not normal?). Hope a better Japanese translator can clarify. Inflammation?

Sorry for the double post, don't know how to delete. See message below.

That reminds me of my son too. His waist is small too and for a 190 cm guy, when the jeans fit at the waist, the length is too short; and he has to be reminded of getting his hair cut too! Some super expensive jeans do fit, I agree, but maybe that will be a once a year thing. As for the thighs being relatively muscular for the waist, husband had the same problem when he was running middle distance competitively.

Or Cambridge 😛

A bit late on this topic, but all this talk about natto is making me hungry. It's more popular with people in the Kanto area of Japan and it's delicious and healthy with grated radish and spring onions! Happy to hear that Yuzu is a natto fan too! Was happy to see that the hotel I stayed at during Worlds Saitama had natto available and eggs for tomago kake gohan; living outside of Japan for the last 9 years, so always happy to have eggs that can be eaten raw when I return for a visit😁 I'm from the US orginally, but lived in Japan much longer, so is my country affiliation the US or Japan, or both would be great---is that possible?

To all the satellites "shinnen akemashite omedetoo gozaimasu" and may you all have a healthy 2019. Enjoyed meeting some of you at the GPF and "watching" Helsinki and COR with your moral support online (thanks to all). Right now I'm back home in Japan, so it's the new year already. Saw very brief clips of Yuzu at the Olympics (not new but always good to see Zu) on Kohaku Uta Gassen and catching up on satellite showings of the GP series and shows (great way to spend the day).

Clear files are really useful for transporting documents, especially if you've got one of those slim brief cases, so they don't get crunched up. Lots of museums in Europe seem to have them in their souvenir shop---wonder if it's for their customers from Asia; much better than those weird magnets. Admittedly, I have some Yuzu clear files, but have not been brave enough to bring documents in them to work and even worse, afraid they'd get scratched up, so all of them are preserved in my desk drawer.

Many of the school uniforms have clip on ties My son's uniform was like that and they'd take them off and stuff them in their school bags before they walked home . Lots of guys don't learn how to tie their own ties until uni.

Actually, I find that making oyakodon is pretty hard---need the right consistency . Tomago kake gohan, on the other hand, if you have eggs that are safe to eat raw and the right soyu, is super easy

Think my nails required only trimming too when I was a student. Then I started to work in the lab and the nails became a "disaster"---got dried out from wearing disposable gloves---and now need nail polish as protection. Of course getting older didn't help either

I also have tickets for Milano, but also hope that Yuzu skips Worlds this year. As we all feel, his health comes first and am cautiously optimistic (or as much as anyone can be reading all the news on this forum) that in time, things should improve. It has all been a rollercoaster, but satellites moral support during this whole competition helped a lot---I was here on the forum all along, but haven't posted much. On the bright side, I probably won't need to get up so early to attend the mens practices during Worlds and finally after a long time, I can watch the competition stress-free. My husband will be happy to hear that I'd also be willing to do some touristy things instead of spending the whole week at the rink.

If I'm watching at home, I'll close my eyes before the jumps, but have to turn down the volume on the TV too, since you know by the reaction of the crowd what has happened. However, if I'm watching live, I force myself to watch the whole thing---feel guilty for spending so much money on tickets and then miss what I've come to see!

Whole jacket looks a bit shrunken but he looks great. Like the no tie look and white shirt!

That's a long delay for a direct flight---did it start in time? Maybe they're circling until the reporters leave

Slept through team day 2 but got up at 6 AM for the anticipated arrival---at least I have my priorities straight

I'm a bit late in replying, but count me in as another satellite that loves the intense banner, and the whole color scheme is just beautiful, just like you know who... Do you think there will be anymore changes in either of his costumes? I've been so busy lately that I've only had time to catch up on posts early in the morning, but maybe by the time of the Olympics, I might have a break in my work schedule. On the other hand, because I'm in the UK, I could just stay up really late (doing work) and watch skating live

Happy New Years from Japan! May you all have a healthy 2018. Flying back to the UK today, so I'm awake at 4 am

Love the banner too-waiting for my plane at the Incheon International Airport and just logged on to the Planet and saw it. Like how the outlines match the colors on Yuzu’s costumes! Should be back home in time to see the GPF men’s.

A frivolous question: what's the gold pin (?) on Yuzu's shirt collar? I'm sitting at my desk trying hard to avoid doing work...
-
Practice group 1 looks like a good one for Yuzu... Looking forward to live reports---I'll be at a meeting at that time, but can rush upstairs right after and stare at my computer screen (stealth viewing), which I hope no one sees me doing.

Yes, he looks relaxed but determined at the same time. Can't drink alcohol and ice cream is too fattening, but I do have lots of popcorn and San Pelligrino
-
Looks too thick for soba, maybe uncooked udon Simplicity is nice sometimes, but I would prefer something more memorable.

Finally became a Tissue Box --- wonder if I'll make it to the next level by the end of this season...
