The solar system seems to love our Tannies. We get a mini-moon for Jin's debut album and a Solar Max Phase for Hobi's discharge
-
It's good that it caught on with some of the general public, but it debuted at #90 on Spotify and dropped off that chart the next two days. That's absolutely awful for a BTS song. People are putting "maybe" one copy on their playlists. The MV is still at 5.1 M after 4 days - and I know we love to blame Youtube, but it magically works better for the ML. The performance on itunes is mostly the work of solos who are buying over and over every day. I see on Twitter people being hopeful that Happy will break the Hot 200 curse and get #1 and my first thought is that these people are delusional. I really, really hope that I'm proven wrong but I'm nervous. @barbaraI never said "Super Tuna" is a failure in the greater sense, but BTS is a different standard For reference, "Love Me Again" (a Korean, non mainstream song), Standing Next to You, and Seven, which were released well over a year ago, are all ranked a lot higher. RM's never had a M Countdown win. I finally took Neva Play off my playlist because I've accepted that even with Megan's large fandom (who've made it to #1 on the Hot 100 on her own), it's not coming back on the list. Nothing on "Hope on the Street" made it to the Hot 100 and only #84 on the global chart. Fact based logic makes it overwhelmingly clear that ARMY is deeply divided. Army likes to say that the members don't care about the charts but while I don't think they're writing music with charts in mind, we've seen how joyful the members are when the songs do well and RM expressed how crushed he was that Life Goes On, a song that hit #1 mind you, didn't get nearly the support of Butter. I understand that JK and Jimin's songs have caught on with the GP, but Tae has proven that there's no reason why we as a fandom can't do better for HL.

Didn't the photocards disqualify The Astronaut from being counted toward the Hot 100? But I know there have been rule changes again since then so maybe the extra goodies won't disqualify it this time around. 3 different photo books... hmmm, Jin knows how to get a girl to buy more than one album. I know I shouldn't care so much, but I hope he charts well. I hate the smug satisfaction of people to see any of our members not chart highly and I continue to be disappointed in ARMY's support of the HL. Neva Play and now Super Tuna should not already be out of the Spotify charts. There's something heart warming about the fact that Jin cares more about giving his fans photo cards and a happy surprise than about charting, but it makes me even sadder that the fans don't give him as much love. I like the inspirational messages with each version.

in a "band" sound? as in marching band? tbh, I'm a little concerned, especially with how little support Super Tuna is getting.

I had mine on a playlist so that doesn't get counted until the next day. The optimist says that maybe other fans did the same. The realist says that this is further evidence of the divide in the fandom. The song only got 1.8 mil plays on Spotify. And while it did eventually end up #1 worldwide on itunes, 50+ #1's is pretty low for a BTS song. It's easy to support all the guys even if you don't necessarily like their style of music. Only 5-6 views get counted on Youtube and 20 get counted on Spotify. All you have to do is make playlists with the appropriate # on each platform then play it before you go to bed.
-
aw man... Jin deleted the original Super Tuna from Spotify. I normally do 20X of every version since it tends to be combined for charts. He really doesn't care about charting at all.

I know I shouldn't raise my delulu level, but part of me is starting to believe that "Lost" could win best music video at the Grammy's. although that would be bittersweet since the Grammy wouldn't go to RM and he wouldn't even be allowed to properly celebrate it

@rockstaryuzu Not the band you're hoping for, but Coldplay is having concerts in Toronto and I hear that their ticket prices are dirt cheap compared to other artists. @barbara Jimin didn't beat JK's streaming record. Jimin's record is for Kpop "soloist". Seven is a duet Seoullite TV did a review of Laneige cream skin toner that Jin is promoting. I bought mine before this review - it has a lot of good reviews. it's advertised for all skin types but I read in a different review that it's best for dry skin, which is what I have, especially in the winter https://www.instyle.com/laneige-cream-skin-toner-moisturizer-amazon-review-7253776 https://iamkellydriscoll.com/2019/07/22/laneige-cream-skin-refiner-review/ ETA: there's a pretty big sale on Laneige for Amazon prime days. I ordered another one and will either return the other one for the better price or keep them both if I love it https://www.amazon.com/LANEIGE-Refillable-Moisturizer-Ceramides-Peptides/dp/B0CNJ7FXH4/ref=sr_1_1_pp?crid=MDCHH73OF01X&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.W3YUR2gAxeNToYKw8q9aCBFCzwIOIzruqx5eJ09fuN0cbZabfR_z6IiNBpm8CD3_YVskn1NVoHtV4PLqY6Px11dvCotcLh3lEcCZm4vWFCa5O3C1dcypLLidkg1KK6QY6v3-bHdGFyr4Z3FE1acXwm7v4DHaeZ9Lsq784EwiplxsVaNWk7vaJsnmsL-FXOt1kHddzu4NeY3pap4NIFISv47z-8lMZP2_lCfdh6Tu9USEpj4t1NvAe5OEGMKDQgF-tvOgbpRSzQn2zlsobm5y7WEGJFLFZVs46-ByQqV_-jc.U2LlvyWpo3rIN6bStrJtISLQrTxNCrVkvJBd6jj14Jw&dib_tag=se&keywords=laneige%2Bcream%2Bskin%2Btoner%2B%26%2Bmoisturizer&qid=1728442483&sprefix=laneige%2Bcream%2Bski%2Caps%2C165&sr=8-1&th=1 Asian Entertainment & Culture said that Suga is rumored to have helped save someone's life, although it's unclear if it was directly him or if he was assisting the person saving someone else. It was a passing comment in a much longer video that I was listening to at work so not sure where it is.

I think it's best to be realistic about these things. Seven was easily the most successful song and had the most Western support and that didn't get any nominations so no way will SNTY, Friends, Neuron, or Who get in there. Album of the year and the pop categories in general are too competitive with big name Western artists. The only reason I have a smidge of hope for RM is because he's gotten so much critical acclaim by Western media and even then, he's an outside shot. But ARMY kind of failed him - he didn't get nearly the commercial success as ML and you need both to have a real shot.
-
The only one I have an inkling of hope for is RM, and even that feels delusional. After all the acclaim this year, if he doesn't get that nomination, I fear they'll never win a Grammy. Another sweet interview with Chris Martin

Jin’s filming his music video

ColdPlay is so sweet

I just found the most adorable ARMY shop. It's a bit spendy but that's normal when people are working in small volume. Ever since the video came out, I've wanted merch like this Here's the online shop. I want SaxoJoon as well https://shrempshop.bigcartel.com/products

This one is so fitting. Jin has always had beautiful, flawless skin... although it reminds me a little of Yuzu's Sekkisei sponsorship - pretty sure it's mostly genetics ETA: just looked it up and I can actually afford these products!
-
She's always struck me as very innocent looking. But I see what you mean about the top part of her face. kind of odd - you wouldn't think that she'd already be getting botox I think the appeal of this outfit is more in the interesting way the top is made. I also think Jin looks great in that type of neckline and partly undone button shirts, which creates a similar silhouette. But I don't think the color suits him We found Hobi's doppelganger. I'm curious who the model is - I'd like to look her up to see if she really does look like Hobi or if it's more the angle and makeup I wonder if Snoop posted this before or after he collab'd with the guys. Comments are wondering if Snoop knows that's JK spoiler for explicit language:

Loving the reaction of the Hotties, especially in contrast to a decade of "ugliest man in kpop" RL solos continue to be lowkey hilarious (story gets better as you read the thread further) And one thing really great about this Chapter 2 is that it exposed BTS to whole new audiences. Pretty sure they're more popular than ever, even if the fandom is more fractured

Yes, I understand that. What I was saying was that now that D-Day and D-2 have reached the 1B goal, what should be the next goal? I had songs on my streaming playlist from those albums to achievethe1 billion and there aren't any clear Suga goals that I see beyond that. For right now, I put Hageum on there since it's the song that's most on pace to hit a billion, but it's so far away that it doesn't seem like a realistic goal either. I have the same issue with Hobi - I put Equal Sign on there just because it's short and I want to contribute to all the members' streams but it doesn't feel like I'm working toward anything.
-
hmmm... now I need to figure out what my Suga entry on my playlist is. "August D" is so far away from a billion currently and all his songs are under 400M, though I guess Hageum is on pace to be the 1st
-
It's good. I do wish there was a bit more of a climax to the song but I enjoy the cadence. I love RM's smoky deep voice
-
I don't normally put much credence in "friend of a friend of a friend" rumors, but Jin was the only member that Colbert followed this summer Did everyone see that BTS/Agust D swept the top 10 of the world digital song sales chart? ETA: oops. wrong Tweet. I could have sworn I saw one where there were 2 BTS songs and 8 Agust D songs lol, why are all the BTS doppelgangers female? Kim Sarang doesn't look as much like Jin these days (looks like she might have gotten her nose "refined" and lost some baby fat in her cheeks) but young Kim Sarang looked like young Jin in drag eta: a reminder of the other look -alikes. There's an actress that looks like RM as well but unfortunately I don't know her name. I didn't even hear about the Suga look alike until this article. https://www.koreaboo.com/lists/bts-female-look-alikes-girl/

Looks like it's Joon. I was confused by the porcupine but comments are saying it's to represent buzzcut Joon
-
huh. people are saying that Hybe's move is to force MHJ to choose between money or NJ. But if both these rumors are true, then I'm guessing she's still trying to get NJ for herself or at least convinced them that's what she's trying to do

I love how adorkable RM is

I know this is one of those silly records but happy to finally see Map of the Soul:7 get there. I've had Respect on my playlist forever. Now working on Proof - Born Singer, N.O., and Cypher Pt. 3 all have over 90 million
