  1. Same here. It's lasted even longer than Seven and charting pretty high too. It got a huge boost after Fallon, indicating that the locals are involved. Tbh, I'm confused by the success - did this get radio play? are people buying every week? I don't think I follow any Maknae line solos since they tend to be really nasty so I don't know if they're doing something special or buying every week.
  2. I like the extra texture it gives the song though it isn't all that different. The Wendy duet was an acrobatic back and forth whereas this is a rather simple, more traditional "take turns" type of duet. Although I do think it's fun that they're singing about Jin's romantic longing to each other
  3. I must have missed an announcement. Looks like Hobi is releasing something on Dec 28 It's not very often that I see the Canadian Hot 100 on my timeline. Yay @rockstaryuzu . I'm a little surprised - I think he only got #3 on Canadian itunes I bet he'll be performing with Taka
  4. The panic at the thought of Jin doing so poorly really pushed fans into overdrive. He went from being the only member to not chart a song from a Ch 2 on Hot 100 to projection of no. 68 to a final result of #53, which is especially good considering that there was some weird error where NONE of the physicals got counted for the charts, which would have added an estimated 10k in sales. Of course, it's possible that the physical CD sales were counted last minute and that's what causing the difference between projections and results I think it only took a bit of common sense to know that we weren't going to get the #1 but this is a solid result and means that BTS and The Beatles are the only groups in history to have all it's members get a top 10 album in Billboard 200. And I *think* only BTS have managed to make top 5 with all members... funny how none of the tweets mention that Is Billboard awards the one where they just give awards based on stats? Hybe dominates Kpop category And 2 noms for Coldplay Hyungs
  5. The teaser is so sensual. Rumor is that the video is over 6 minutes long. I don't know if @ralucutzagy and @Whoopiewoop's hearts can survive the impact for that long. Hell, not sure if MINE will
  6. I predicted that the solos would be able to squeak him into the Hot 100 but I never imagined that they'd be able to turn it around this much. I think Jin's solos might be a little older so tend to have a bit more money These people got to meet Jin AND got Fred Jewelry ETA since I can't seem to delete the Fred tweet. I'm still burning with envy though
  7. Hope on the Street >>>>>>Jack in the Box. It's too bad that he didn't release HotS first. I wonder if Laneige figured in the Jin impact when they did the original sales predictions. They must be thrilled
  8. @Faithyu Congrats to Seventeen as well
  9. Lol, compare Hobi at this event to Jin at that fashion show. Hobi was built to mingle. Perhaps it was better that he didn't win that crummy Bonsang - not worth his precious time to fly that far, spend a day standing around and waiting for some award that he's outgrown years ago
  10. It's official. He really did get younger in the military Is Jin about to get ANOTHER sponsorship? Still trying to figure out if Hobi is the LV ambassador as well
  11. Wow! They really do love Jin in Japan
  12. Fans should only do what they're comfortable with. Turning your hobby into work will only burn you out. I have no issue with people being casual fans or even solos (as long as they're not hostile) - it's actually a sign of a growing audience. My gripe is when people ignore, manipulate, rationalize facts to push a certain narrative. It's annoying enough when they're merely deluding themselves; but it's a pet peeve of mine when people employ such tactics to gaslight and disparage others. I'm so annoyed. I just found out I've been streaming wrong for years now. It turns out that whenever there's a remix and they include another copy of the main song, it gets counted and combined with the total streams for the main track. Thinking back, Hybe has been doing this all the way back since JK's Seven but because of the deep divide in the fandom, solos who have known this have been keeping this information to themselves and only been sharing it with members of the same faction. In the past, Army would have shared this information and worked together.
  13. Of course, I'm always happy to get new music but why the F*!k does Hybe schedule like this? It's only been a week since a major come back and now neither release is going to get proper reception. I understand that Tae's music is seasonal but this type of schedule is only going to cause further splintering of the fandom. I'm so happy RM made it! It wasn't looking like he wasn't going to get there the day before. Also sad that Hobi was the only one left out - trust me that the "always picked last in gym class" feeling sticks with you for life. There's a reason he still references himself as not being handsome. Soobin is taking a medical hiatus. It wasn't specified what the condition is.
  14. US armies are focused on Jimin. RW didn't even chart on US Spotify. When Spotify has bugs, force close the app then open it again - you might need to do it more than once. Sometimes it's when my internet connection is weak and other times I'm guessing I've had it playing too long at least it's doing well in Japan. I hate to say this but really, the Japanese and Thai deserve all the special events more than NA or Korea And he sounds absolutely incredible. This is the best version of Running Wild yet
  15. Lol. IG mistranslated Wotteo's Instagram to say Jin posed like a whore. I was hoping we'd get another iconic Jin plushy for Happy but I think Jin really loves Wotteo Currently, Running Wild is NOT projected to be on Hot 100 and the lead single had fewer streams than "I'll Be There" before the remixes, making Jin the only member to not make the Hot 100 off of his debut album. And "Happy" is projected to only sell 50k units, which is less than half of #1 and by far the lowest selling debut album of BTS members. It's been so obvious to anyone using fact driven logic that the fandom is becoming more and more splintered so I've been predicting that so called Army wouldn't give him the fan support for over a year now but they somehow managed to fall short of even my expectations. I think RW will probably claw it's way into the Hot 100 off the efforts of his solos now that the remixes are out. So apparently each version of RW from the remix albums are counted toward the main title track counter so you can have 80x streams count on your Spotify. Here's a play list so you don't have to start over
  16. You could tell that Wendy was nervous. She went off key a couple times, but the tone of her voice is gorgeous and they sound so good together. Jin really loves performing Running Wild and I'm in love with the live performance of Another Level. DJ Jino hated the song and I think he's crazy. But I love sentimental music (even if it is about a video game) Apparently Kpoppies were accusing Jin of lip synching. I guess because the lag caused the audio and video to not synch up yesterday? I just thought it was proof of how beautiful his live singing is. And his live singing normally sounds richer than the studio versions anyway so they don't even sound alike ETA: I guess it was straight up slander rather than a misunderstanding - it seems someone edited the studio version of the song onto the video from Happy, which made it really obvious that it was manipulated since there was a band for the live stage ETA:
  17. I figured he explained on the special show or on an interview. I just thought it was funny at how different my perception was from the reality. But dramatic ass music like this is well suited to action scenes
  18. I heard this and thought it was the most hauntingly beautiful and soulful of the tracks. Now I'm watching Asian Entertainment and she says this is about video gaming
  19. I'm sure DJ Jino will have this on his Patreon. When he doesn't have to dance, he consistently sounds even better than the studio version. The song has a whole different vibe when Jin sings it vs. when Chris sings it ETA: OMG! Coldplay left a comment on this thread
