Min Hee Jin is finally out but still allowed to manage NewJeans. You would think at this point, even NewJeans should be upset at her after seeing how far their sales have fallen. But I'm sure it was spun to them that it's Hybe's fault

Just a cool clip of Jin singing "Hello" by Adele. The little you can hear sounds good. I'd like to see him perform a cover

My guess is that the police don't even want to bother with all this but they have to be extra thorough because of all the media scrutiny. If there's the slightest hint of favoritism, they'll get accused of corruption.

attempting to host today https://w2g.tv/?r=levfglmiodpipclahx

"The Astronaut" The lyrics are appropriate for any type of love. You could probably have someone edit out the Korean lyrics if you wanted all English since the song is 4 minutes and you only want 2 minutes and all the Korean is in the 1st half

Looks like I'm buying another magazine It must be nice that once you get Jin, you know you have his loyalty

I told my husband that he had good company. His response was "Poor bastard can't have any fun"

Looks like I'm going to have to get a Harper's Bazaar ETA: remembering Jin's Dynamite promo look, I can see why Gucci waited around for Jin rather than hopping on known Gucci lover Tae. I wish Hybe styled him like this for the MV instead of that orange mushroom look ETA 2: ETA

lol. Jin broke another website btw, I was just thinking that we have the oddest collection of DUI's in our little group - sitting on the hood of a car, driving a golf cart, and falling while parking an e-scooter. @barbara, hubby finds it impressive in its own way - .35 seems like it should have killed you. He blew a .24 and the cops wanted him to get a blood test because they thought he was certain to have narcotics in his system if he's still that lucid at that BAC. and a cute pre-debut Tae story
-
What did he think of it? Everyone I see on Twitter is either mocking S. Korea or laughing at the situation. ETA: damn. MHJ really brought ruin to her group

dammit. I never did get around to buying my Gucci stocks. oh well. Still kind of confusing that Gucci waited so long. My husband got a DUI on a golf cart and lost his license. In Minnesota, it's technically a DUI to drive any motorized vehicle while drunk and any DUI can cause you to lose your license, but it's largely up to the discretion of the police officer. My husband probably wouldn't have been stopped if he didn't go off lot and hit a sign and would probably have been let go with a warning if he didn't proceed to offend the police officer and blow triple. The judge said he didn't want to give him the DUI, but if he didn't, then every bar would be full of golf carts. My husband's punishment was the same as any other DUI offender. Later, my friend and I had e-scooters downtown and talked to a cop who was working some event. The cop just said to not ride the scooters in front of him. He didn't verbalize it, but essentially saying that he doesn't actually care, but he didn't want to be put in an awkward position since he's technically supposed to arrest us. A statement was released that since Yoongi did this on his personal time, there would be no military punishment. Civil service is treated essentially like another citizen.

They're combining streams for English and Korean "Who". Don't know why they never did that for Like Crazy. I believe that 20 streams of each counts toward charts so I updated my playlist. ... and an updated Youtube list Once again, no clue what the Apple rules are. But I find that the playlist pauses frequently so I guess that's Apple music's control for the streams. https://music.apple.com/us/library/playlist/p.YJXV7XJh5QgoDkV I never have issues with Pandora but I again don't know the rules https://www.pandora.com/playlist/PL:96569008903437143:111836827366728547

Sadly, I don't see it happening but it's good to see high profile media hyping Joon up

Saw this, this morning. I love how Rolling Stone has always been so respectful toward BTS And another video by Seoullite TV on the MHJ saga. I always take Social media videos with a grain of salt, but the lunacy unveiled is on a different level. Imagine if Jimin actually got radio play and a promo tour. The Fallon performance really seemed to have struck a chord with the public

I see it now https://w2g.tv/?r=z04hx19jn5jqmll4la

I'm not sure exactly where we are. I thought we were in 2017 It's been a while since I did a room. It looks like Watch2Gether changed things. Hopefully you can get there with this link. https://w2g.tv/en/room/?access_key=ee8pnwmk00uo5nsejtlbh9 I haven't changed any settings so I think that means anyone should be able to start the playlist

And apparently Source Music actually has 2 lawsuits against MHJ. I think if they win both, then Hybe can fire her. If not, then Hybe can make a deal with the British band so they lose enough to fire her, but not except as a last resort since it would have repercussions on Hybe as well if they lose that lawsuit.

I redid my "Who" focused playlists to include Fallon and the remixes if anyone is interested. The playlists are pretty long so make sure you're interacting with them throughout the day. I just keep them that long in case I forget to restart them I haven't seen any Apple Music specific streaming guides. All the streams count apparently. I just tried to randomize the order a bit https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/muse/pl.u-Ymb0vdyFDyKL3MB Spotify only counts 20 plays a day Youtube Pandora. No clue how Pandora works but someone said you can loop to your heart's content https://pandora.app.link/OeaFaS81sLb

These Billboards will go up around the time that Jin will likely release his album. So this is actually a decent prize for one of these silly online contests

I downloaded Robinhood. Now I need to learn how to use it before the announcement instead of spending my whole day scrolling Twitter If the boxy Tiger Smile didn't convince you to be Team Tiger, then certainly buff military Tae should be Tiger. I know Bears are strong, but they're also round and Tae is all shoulders and biceps these days. Lol. S. Korea is harassing N. Korea on the state run loudspeaker with BTS news about Jin's torch relay I would never have put Jimin and F1 racing together, but huzzah for our man getting more promo!

That's incredible. I'm so proud! Even Seven, Butter, and Dynamite (all #3) didn't debut #1 on that chart. Not as exciting, but "Who" went up from #18 to #14 on US Spotify as well. grr, I'm so bummed that Fallon didn't air that performance yet. Sometimes I wish that BigHit would do what the other Kpop companies (including groups under Hybe) do and pay for Youtube advertisement. It looks like it's standard industry practice and NOT doing it is hurting BTS on the charts and awards. I'm not so naive to think that they avoid this due to some morals - I'm guessing that Hybe benefits more from the extra sales ARMY is willing to do in order to push the guys up than they do from the extra views. I have no idea what these ads cost the companies. In my less cynical thought process, I think maybe BTS being so closely tied to BigHit and having more influence on that faction, has caused BigHit to be more honorable and not partake in such practices I've seen ads mentioned before, and never understood what that has to do with anything other than promo. Recently, I've seen people complaining that Lisa's "Rockstar" amongst other Kpop (especially YG) group videos showing up in their history even though they have them blocked or never clicked on anything related to them. It turns out, what YG does is they start the videos as "ads", meaning that they automatically play for people on Youtube and TikTok between videos, often times unskippable. It looks like buying the ads not only inflates the numbers by forcing people to watch, but it also prevents views from getting deleted, although these are still counted as low quality streams which explains why a lot of these videos don't get put on top Youtube music lists in spite of the huge numbers. BTS isn't "shadow banned", as a lot of ARMY will claim (if they're shadow banned, they will have single or double digit numbers), but their views are more likely to get deleted if there's even minorly suspicious activity since they're not putting money into YouTube pockets unlike groups that pay for the ad time. This is how "Rockstar" by Lisa, all those BlackPink videos, Jisoo's "Flower" in spite of not even cracking Hot 100, and all these lesser known groups get such huge numbers while ARMY has seemingly abandoned Youtube. This also explains the huge disparity in "likes" vs. views for those other groups as well as why other groups results on things like Spotify and Itunes don't reflect their Youtube success. Now that I understand this tactic, I would understand why Billboard doesn't put much weight on Youtube IF it weren't for the fact that radio play is even more easily manipulated, though with less clarity. Honestly, if it wasn't such a commonly accepted practice, I would call it Sajaegi (chart manipulation) as insidious as "Payola" (paying for radio play) or companies buying their own albums to inflate numbers.
