and he wasn't able to distinguish between a dream and a nightmare? how hard can it be???
-
the reveal of the purple prince costume wasn't too shabby either
-
I indeed forgot about that, but thank you so much for reminding me of that glorious idea relief level set to chocolate brownie

Small solace. Very small. Ant size. Yuzu can do a lot to me costume wise, but what he can't be is boring or not super blingy. Fortunately pigs will start flying before that happens.

Honestly, if they thought it was anything too serious, he wouldn't be there. Three years ago he withdrew from Finlandia not all too long before the competition because, IIRC, he had an ankle injury. It took quite some doing to talk him out of it, but they did it, and that was way before he became all 100% health conscious as he is now. It's just a Challenger event. He wouldn't risk his entire season for ACI, especially not during Oly season.

Unacceptable! Inhuman! Where's Amnesty when you need them?! Free view on UA for everyone! seriously though, watching practices will make you go

IOC: You need to control your budget! Oly Organizers: Cardboard coaster medals painted by preschoolers will save us so much money! Brilliant! Can you imagine???
-
well yes, true, but I've sure been reading/hearing it constantly over the last few weeks, so it kind of feels the same to me

I'm just not going to panic about any injuries until there's a reason to. At least they recognized that they need to take it easy for a while. Without any further information, I kind of see Brian's comment just as him playing the media. They guy spent the last four weeks telling people that if the Olympics were next week, Yuzu would be in perfect condition for it. Sounds like he's only adjusting expectations so that nobody waits for any miracles in this competition. (it's Oly season. The media won't got easy on him. So I guess it's probably better to put this bit of information out there to put things into perspective)

only on the inside... you think the medals are trying to tell us something?
-
the gold medal probably wants to be more masculine and that's why it refuses to be too pretty. We all know how important that is, especially in men's skating!
-
Unpopular opinion apparently, but I actually think that the silver and bronze medals look rather pretty in that light. The other one... not so much (somehow the details come out better with those colors, I think). Can I argue that he's already pretty enough on his own so the ugly gold will do for him?

look who we got here https://www.daily.co.jp/general/2017/09/21/0010573400.shtml?ph=2

those look like pretty standard terms. It usually says that you can't take videos, but people still do it all the time. Don't know about other places, but at least in Barcelona and Helsinki they never cared if people recorded stuff with their phones. They only got grumpy when people used flash photography

I don't understand. Either or? Is this a trick question?

Yeah, he did that and I think after all the hints and interviews throughout the last season, it was more likely than not that he would retire (hence Yuzu pushing him out at worlds) but I don't think I've ever seen any official announcement, so I guess technically he never retired
-
I think Misha never officially retired in the first place?
-
you mean the fall? Looks like he might have tried to skate around someone and caught his blade on the boards

Yuzu continues to smash every world record in existence throughout the season. After that he decides that breaking records is actually way more fun than trying to figure out just how many ways the International Screw Up society can ruin the system. He makes it his life's mission to break every single entry in the Guinness World Records book. He starts by challenging they guy who holds the record distance in cherry pit spitting. After that he goes on to beat the world champion in mobile phone throwing.

If he's not offended that I will stand closely next to him with a fire extinguisher, I say go for it.
-
stop it, don't remind me of this he looks like a 5-year-old playing house, I just cannot
-
am I really the only one who just can't with these commercials? I'm dying a little every time

It's all very general information. He says that Yuzu has been there for training most of the time, did only a few ice shows, that his condition in general is very good right now, mentions the 4Lz, goes on to talk about the Chopin SP. It's not really a confirmation that the 4Lz is going to be included, it reads more like he's just saying that it's on the overall agenda this season.
