Well IIRC, someone did gift him a tuna once (I don't remember who. Not a fan but some sponsor or something). And we're not talking canned but entire blue tuna. (there was a whole discussion about how many hundred kg that thing can have and how many thousands of $$ it can cost ) and that would be so bad because we all know how much he despises kids and doesn't pay any extra attention at all to them

I think we can be generous, it's not really a medal for the ISU after all, it's for that one poor brain cell that had to suffer there for years and years! Be nice to it. It finally got to come out to play, we don't want to frighten it away so quickly, do we? (although I may get stingy with the alcohol... it's Oly season! I have my own needs!) See, that's the spirit yay pretty boxes for brainy's medal!

I seem to recall an interview where Brian said that one of his biggest regrets is that Javi lost out on a medal in Sochi because of a mistake they hadn't anticipated. Because apparently they do look at practice run-throughs like, OK, this mistake here happens from time to time, if you make that mistake in competition, then you make up for it by doing this and that. But the mistake Javi made in Sochi was something that had apparently never happened before, and so they were all like OMG brain scrambled what to do how to fix this? So, they may not train alternate layouts, but they obviously have contingency plans for when things do go wrong. It's just hard to think of every single mistake that can happen in advance, and Yuzu is quite lucky in that he can think on his feet so quickly.

Yes, new costume, thank you skating Gods! This does not mean that I don't still want to hunt him down to bling up his UA. Just because.
