The scary part is that he could probably give you a lecture on how the bluetooth application is needed for the very useful tooth brushing app on his phone and how that has helped his dentist to find the optimal brushing technique and how he has calculated that he would rotate his jumps a millisecond slower if he were weighed down by more dental fillings, but thanks to his super duper mega toothbrush he has now increased his chances to win more gold medals! I think I need more coffee, my brain's going places again......

Well if you want to sell it in Japan that's probably the minimum requirement you're lucky if it doesn't also sing and dance and scold you when you don't brush properly

Which reminds me, I distinctly remember that there were loads of people who thought that a Japanese program would be a very bad idea for Korea. .......where are you, people? Because I don't think I've seen that concern yet regarding Seimei 2.0 ? (though I may have missed it. This thread is a nightmare to follow)

I think most people wouldn't mind so much if instead of Seimei 2.0, we would get a second Onmyoji FS. Use different music from the soundtrack(s), new choreography, new costume, give it a different title. That wouldn't feel so much like a mere repetition or like a 2.-something, but more like a completely new program that just uses a previous theme. One which was very well received and which Yuzu knows he can pull off beautifully. I for one would probably be totally on board with that.

I got into this whole mess because I accidentally saw PW on TV. Then I googled the space kitten. Next thing I saw was the RJ2 costume, and I literally went "OK boy, I liked you before but now I'm in love " Nobody is ever gonna talk me out of my love for the boobskirt Rationality be damned. He's adorable and he sparkles like a disco ball. Love it!

I actually think it's really kind of both in some ways. It can be risky if he doesn't deliver 150%, because people will have certain expectations, and I'm afraid that he may get judged accordingly. On the other hand, I can also understand why it's seen as a "safe choice" because he's familiar with the program and he already knows that he can deliver it. Even if the layout and choreography get changed in some parts, he's still very familiar with the basics of the program, and that kind of confidence boost could lower the chances of headcasing closely to zero.

I can see where the argument comes from that, if he goes clean with Chopin 3.0, judges can't give him a lower score than they did before and so he'd kind of have a relatively reliable minimum score for the SP. I just wonder if that is really so. It's like with any other score discussion I've ever read (that usually boil down to "judges gonna do whatever they want anyway"). What I often take away from it is that the perception is that judges seem to think "yeah that jump was good by normal standards, but it could have been better by Yuzu-standards, and since we know that he can do it better, we won't give him the highest marks". Now I imagine that if someone really hands out scores like that.... you won't only have "I will judge his jumps based on how good I know they can be", but you also get "I will judge this entire SP based on how good I know that it was the last (two) time(s)". And that is a pretty high standard to live up to. So I'm left to wonder if going clean would even be good enough with a threepeat Chopin, or if he would have to go squeaky Yuzu-clean in order to not get some major dings for every tiny mistake.

Above all else, I am my own person, and I will have my own feelings and opinions. That doesn't make me less of a fan.
