So it's confirmed, as suspected. Now the question is... what layout will he use, then, without the 4Lz...
-
But he got 94+ PCS for his CoR Seimei, which was actually slightly higher than what he got for an essentially cleanish and nearly all positive 4CC 2017 H&L, and the TES difference was about 11 points in 4CC's favor. This is a very good sign for Seimei (or a sign for how unliked H&L was). If he goes clean, I think he might get the 98+ PCS again. Please go clean, Yuzu! *prayercircle*

I'm not sure if I agree? He's had some very shaky performances in his FS and still gotten very good PCS. Heck, he's gotten better PCS than Yuzu in his CoR FS with worse TES than Yuzu had, though that was at Europeans, which are a Javi lovefest no matter what. And he hasn't had as good a score in his SP compared to Worlds because landings on some of his jumps in those SPs were less secure than they were at Worlds. Plus the momentum at Worlds was kind of crazy. I do think at least the European judges who will be at Olympics will be throwing scores at him if he goes clean.

How many ice shows has Yuzu done by now with Plushenko? And he still loses his shit every time, what a cinnamon roll.
-
Okay, that was just adorable.
-
Any video of it? For science.
-
Anyone know where this is from? Because Yuzu in a fitting suit is dangerous and twitter is going aflutter. Also, that second picture!
-
I approve of the photo chosen for Yuzu. Shiny lips.

I quite liked Daisuke's thoughts about the competitors and the state of figure skating in the translations above. Also nice to see him praise Yuzu's spins! About time someone not Brian does.
-
Like Brian said, everything will be just fine. Sure, he can be at 100% condition and still fail terribly so adjusting expectations is important, but he can also be at 90% and slay everyone anyway. Heck, Boyang did at 4CC.
-
Speaking of compulsory figures, I remember reading somewhere Yuzu requested Tracy to help him with figures for SS training.
-
Speaking of momentum, not sure if Nathan or Shoma will gain that much if they only do the SP. They'd need to break a WR or something. If they choose to do both programs, though, who knows. Edit: plus it's not guaranteed Japan will make the FS anyway.
-
Doesn't Junhwan have to do Team Event for Korea?
-
He already wasn't arriving with Team Japan, though, since he does not actually train in Japan.
-
Yuzuru has the momentum of his career. He doesn't need the Team Event for momentum. He just needs to skate clean and if any extra week of dedicated practice will help him, then by all means, use it.

Two very handsome men.

But Nathan's FS at the 2017 US Nationals actually scored higher than the one in 2018...? If it's a national record breaking performance, then it should have been that one. But exaggerated title is exaggerated.

According to this Zijun Li has completed the procedures to retire at the end of last year and has retired. But there's been no official word from the Chinese Fed or Zijun herself. Still, it's almost certain that this is what's happening.
-
Considering that the Olympic stadium has no roof and the lowest temperature on Feb. 9 last year was 12.2 degrees below zero, I'd rather he skip it. On another note, Yuzu is the only figure skater mentioned in this BBC article.
-
No, she was not part of the Sochi doping cases and she was issued an invitation to PyeongChang already anyway.
-
Boyang is a smart one.
-
I'm extremely confused on how Nick associated THAT runway outfit to Seimei...
-
Hope he got it with the sale price.
