And because Javi was one of the first people he started interacting in English with, and because Javi is not a native speaker either, it's normal that he feels more comfortable than in front of the journalists. There are also some interviewers, like PJ Kwong who are able to make (short) interviews with him fun and stress-free. I think besides the ones that Xen named, also Deniss Vasiljevs posted about Yuzu being his inspiration for a long time when he took a selfie with him.

You know what this reminds me of? I was listening to a podcast with David Wilson (TSL trigger warning). It's an old interview, he says some stuff about Yuzu too, I'm sure you all have heard it (I'm just catching up on Yuzu stuff from the past). To sum up a little, he's complaining a bit about Yuna completely setting skating aside after she retired. He makes some assumpions & generalizations about "the asian culture" which I'm side-eyeing, but if we ignore that for now, he's saying how the ice shows these days are all the same, put together in 2 days and lack the soul & meaning etc. I want someone to show him CiONTU and see him react awwww, that's such a cute parallel, thank you @Hydroblade !

It's like this with my family too. I only managed to show some of my favourites to my mum, well she paid SOME attention to Yuzu so that's a good sign, but about Lambiel she said "He doesn't spin as good" when I pointed out his spins, mum please Someone should at least drag his ass over to Niagara Falls. Why am I not surprised... I really think they'd do better with an international cast, do they always bring in only American skaters? I saw some US twitter fans were disappointed that the cast isn't international. Also, it'd create a different energy if there were skaters from all around the worlds. SOI Japan looked like so much fun this year, from what we've seen. Is SOI America even broadcasted anywhere on TV?

goshh, please! tbh i'm mostly surprised about no Stephane, but he might have rejected him because he's a busy coach right now, especially with both coaching and ice shows he's going to do soon for FaOI and such... He's going to be away from Champery a lot. (For Javi I kind of expected him to not be there, mainly because of the format of the show, but also because that weekend it's his birthday lol, we'll see)
