Oh i always think that Boyang loses a bit more childishness and skates a classic program with better SS, he is gonna be amazing. I mean, he is cool, and his jumps are insane. After Yuzu, he is my fav. Nathan is 100% american (sorry if i offended anyone) because he is just putting all his eggs on the Pyeongchang basket, and he thinks that the difference in PCS, even if its 10-12 points, he can overcome that in one additional jump score. Personally i am like, Yuzu already won gold. He is a legend. He is in record books forever as a champion and one game is not going to change that. But i hope he skates beautifully. And in Meoima i trust, obviously

I love Misha and I hope that he has an extremely successful career as a choreographer  -
I didn't know this, so I apologise.

This omg, even if you're not her fan, you can't be unaware of her accomplishments.

Omg this topic is topic is too fast. I went to sleep when it was 116 and when I wake up, it's already 10 pages??? I agree that international fans are important as well and stereotyping Yuzu as a Japanese famous skater hero is an insult to him as he is very popular everywhere and there are Jap fans who really like other skaters. But I see so many people getting interested in Japanese culture and places and visits there and not just fs events because they were initially Yuzu fans and he makes you love the country and its ways. It's amazing how he is such a pro Japanese ambassador, unbeknownst to everyone. Magic boy.

I wouldn't mind seeing him with blue again. As i understand, ISU doesn't mind different hair colors as long as they're not too much? i want this so much omg... why is FS such a traditional sport.. imagine a fully unleashed Johnny Weir. And a certain someone whose idol is Johnny.

Why should he? Why should he be like someone else? :eh: It's not about being like someone else, it's about improving one's English :) I think its a bit of indifference from him and a bit of antisocial nature. He is very intelligent and very well spoken even at 16, so it is not because he cant, its just he may be thinking that he doesnt need it? He majorly interacts with Japanese folks and plans to live in Japan and so he deems it not necessary. And it can also be because he is nervous about language in Public and may have really good vocab in private. I used to be really terrible in spoken english until i got a job that demanded i had to. And personally, i think his english is good, its just that when too many cameras and mikes are on his face and he is tired from a competition, he just talks about a simple answer which is not elaborate. So that he can just finish it and go away. :acceptable:

Chiddy and Yuzu are cute. Oh yeah, is that PChiddy's hand on Yuzu's shoulder? My heart. Edit: Honestly, the more I look at that photo, the more does that hand seem like a unattached limb. It doesn't seem to match either Patrick or Eric's arms! :rofl2: The collective ghost hand of fanyu s

Oh I really like the protocol links and the video links  It's like a one stop shop :goe: Thank you for this guys. ETA: I think it's 2012-2015 Japanese national champ, not 2013-2016. :) AMAZING WORK   :goe: Also, how did he end up in the cover of a photography mag?? By being simply Graceful?? ISTG!
-
Why would he do that to himself?? :ohno: I thought it was a hate name
-
haha i'd talk about it -- i do want pchiddy to get his gold medal, but i'm not too hung out on it This is my eternal doubt as a new fs viewer. But why everyone calls Chan chiddy? Is there a story?

I am really amazed at zhenya's maturity at such young age. And she called Yuzu PEERLESS!!! :space: I sometimes think she may be lurking in PH. :wtf:

Speaking of well liked program, I had a dream that Yuzu is bringing back Seimei as his warhorse to the Olympic season, press meeting and everything. And I woke up and immediately logged in to planethanyu to see it's true and I didn't knew if I was excited or scared.. This is how this guy controls us. We don't even have dreams of our own now.

Kindly excuse my butchering of English language. I am like Yuzu. English is like third Language to me

Hi guys, had a busy few days so I was just reading the forum without posting. But I was thinking about the media push that shoma is getting, and I like it? Because since 2014 Yuzu has been the one the entire Japanese media was looking to and the entire country has been waiting bring results. And that is an enormous pressure. And last year, even with yuzu's wc win, he had an up and down season and we saw the kind of pressure he feels in the wtt SP. Because of the added pressure from media, yuzu's pressure on himself is pretty high and while he is a high functioning alien who loves attention, I think it would be cool if he could face the Olympics season with as little pressure as possible? Especially since he is the defending champion and is the WC and everyone would be looking at him. And we all remember how pressured was his LP in last Olympics and the pressure Patrick was under the entire event.. My point was that, shoma had a pretty even season with average performance everywhere because he is not the centre of attention anywhere. The focus goes over his head(this is also a pun about his height, I know it's lame). When it comes to Japanese media pressure, Yuzu faces that. When it comes to youngsters with quad pressure, Nathan is on the front line. Basically shoma can go in and come out without any responsibility except that to himself. So this media attention and the articles and the press that forces him to come to more light would also make him take a bit of pressure off Yuzu. Yuzu won't be the only Japanese hope for a gold. People won't travel and buy tickets only for Yuzu. And in the course if shoma improves as a skater, that would be cool too. I love that Yuzu gets some slack in carrying the burden alone and I think that's why he feels such kinship to shoma. It's just a line of thought. I obviously don't like anyone bashing Yuzu, but shoma promo is quite okay I guess.
