Well I would not wish for Yuzuru to get invited some day or some years down the road to fill the spot for retired skater/or guest in Japan Open. He skated in senior since 2011, he has won many gold medals including Olympic and World gold medals, more than any Japanese skater or any skater in the world. Well the organizers of this fake event never invited him to skate in Japan Open. They don't want him for whatever reasons only them know about, or they don't want to say why. It is not about the money, not about the popularity of the skaters. Maybe it is pure jealousy or whatever. They don't need him, they don't want him there at their own event. Yuzuru does not need them either. He can go to any B competition in Canada, in China, in Finland, in US anywhere and make us his fans happy to see him skate. It is the dream of hundreds or thousands of his fans. The JO organisators invited only those skaters they like for years after years. We could assume that JO next year will have the same skaters again like this year or the years before. I don't understand, I don't care anymore. Just out of curiosity.

I must say that I don't agree with the stylist's taste. You have the most handsome man in figure skating, then you made him wear an old granny cardigan, like an old man. Please take out the cardigan.

I think that the skaters who can jump both quad lutz and quad flips are supposed to benefit from those changes, for example Nathan Chen, Uno. Even if their technic on those jumps are not good, they will do 2 quad lutz and 2 quad flips in LP and get good GOE +3 or +5. Other skaters like Hanyu or Boyang Jin will not benefit from those changes, because Hanyu does not do quad lutz or quad flip yet, Hanyu does quad toe, sal and loop, and Jin does not do quad flip but he does quad lutz, toe and sal. I believe that when and if those changes are taking place , in 2022 or after 2022, most of the skaters who are active today will be retired already, especially Yuzuru, so it does not affect him very much. So I don't care very much about figure skating anymore. Just my little ideas about that.

Thank you @ Mastyaeva for sharing your feelings and your emotions with us. I read the whole document you have written. It is very good reading and I have the same feelings as yours. I was there in Helsinki for the whole week too. It was such an extraordinary experience to witness a miracle and the legendary performances of Yuzuru in both programs, Let's go crazy and Hope&Legacy. In two weeks, we can see Yuzuru again at Autumn Classic International in Montreal, my hometown. I hope you could be there with us who are going. If not, you can watch him on streaming . I will think about you and hoping to give energy and support to Yuzuru like you have done in Helsinki.

May I ask you about the interview of Brian Orser, Tracy Wilson and the choreographers Shayleen, David Wilson. What did they say about the programs SP and FP? What is the part of David Wilson in the programs Or he only does the Ex The Swan like last year? I try to read those 100 pages since yesterday, but I may miss this information. Thank you very much. I like both programs. I agree with his choices.

Me too, I have asked my Japanese friend to buy for me both books I and II. I got only book II, because book I is sold out. I do not read Japanese, but no problem for me to look at the beautiful photos. I received a lot of gifts from Japanese fans of Yuzuru during our meetings together at various competitions, many transparent files with photos of Yuzuru, some magazines. They are happy that even I am not Japanese, I have Japan flags small and large, to cheer for Yuzuru. I have also received 3 beautiful banners in silk painting Yuzuru in his costumes of SP Let's go crazy, of FP Hope and Legacy, and of the Ex The Swan, from a Yuzuru's fan, an artist from China. They are all very precious for me.

Yes we maybe pass by each other without knowing! I was in one of the buses of Dash Tours, because I and my Japanese friends have bought the ticket and hotel with Dash tours. I heard that the Hershey centre in Mississauga is out of nowhere, quite far from the hotels, quite difficult to get a taxi at midnight to go back to our hotel. So I decided to go with the Tours because they provided buses from hotel to the arena and back to the hotel at night. Anyway, on the evening of Men short programs, after the competitions ended, we found our bus waiting in the parking. Then a man responsible for the parking asked our driver to move his bus away, so the driver had to move and parked somewhere else. He made a wonderful decision to park his bus in front of the exit of the skaters, not far from the others buses reserved for skaters or officials. That was where we got Yuzuru coming into our bus. To be honest when we were in the bus that evening, we were a little bit sleepy and sad because Yuzuru did not do well in the short program. Then an angel came into our bus, looked at us with his nice and pure face, like a child. I was so surprised at this moment, I believed I said softly to my friend, not believing my eyes: Oh my god, it's Yuzuru. Then I believed he said something to excuse himself and got off the bus. Back in Japan, my Japanese friend has recorded the tv skating program and said that they showed briefly the moment Yuzuru got off a parked bus that night, maybe it is our bus I don't know, with a voice of somebody saying "oh my god". By entering into our bus, he has waking us up and made us happy again. He has put a smile back on our face.

Yes I agree. I want to share with you an experience we have at Skate Canada in Mississauga 2016. You know what? We nearly got Yuzuru on our bus - which is waiting at the wrong place in the Parking lot, at the exit of the skaters from Hershey Center- to bring us back to our hotel after the Men Short program. And his short program was Let's go crazy, with his white costume, and his hair combed with gel. We were in the bus waiting to go back to our hotel, about 10 to 15 persons. The door of the waiting bus is still open for people who are late. Suddenly, somebody came inside the bus. He stops short at the entrance next to the driver, looks around at us, maybe he realizes then that he is not in the skaters bus. He said something like to excuse himself then gets out of the bus. Oh my god, his face looks so young, so pretty. He looked like a child, pure, innocent, like an angel. Needless to say that we got an encounter to remember for a long time. He has made our day and our night too, that night.

TICKETS FOR AUTUMN CLASSICS 2017 in Montreal I have sent a request to Skate Canada asking for information when we will be able to purchase or to make reservation for our tickets for the event. I have received the answer from Mrs. Amy Thiffault, a representative of Skate Canada. Her answer is the following: "Tickets will be available onsite for pourchase at the door. Our events team are looking to add an option of reserving tickets in advance. As soon as any information is available it will be posted to the events page on our website at: https://skatecanada.ca/event/2017-autumn-classic-international/" Maybe in July or August, we will be able to have more information to make a reservation for the tickets. Good luck to all of us, espetially to our friends from outside Canada who want to make sure they are garanteed to have the tickets.

Hello Geo1 I am happy that you are well and planning to travel to Montreal for Autumn Classics and see Yuzuru. I hope that you will be able to invite one or two friends to come with you and your wife and help you with the travelling. Also to be able to rent a wheelchair accessible van at the airport. You remind me of a lady I have met on my last trip at World in Helsinki. I stayed at the Hotel Sokos in Pasila, about 1 Km walking to the Hartwall Arena . At the hotel, I have met a senior lady in a motorized wheelchair from the US who has travelled to Helsinki for the event. She said she has made the arrangement for renting the wheelchair directly from her home in the US. Everyday, she came to the Arena in her motorized wheelchair with a skating friend who accompany her. It will be with great pleasure to meet you all in Montreal. Bienvenue à Montreal.

Hello Geo1 Are you going to Autumn Classics in Montreal in September 2017 to see Yuzuru? That'cool. I am Vadrouille, but can I add my bit to give you some information. I remember last year for Autumn Classics, many Japanese fans came to see Yuzuru, I even saw buses rented by Japanese tours who bring their clients to and from the arena Sportsplexe Pierrefonds. Some of Japanese fans stayed at the official hotel, but some of them have to stay at other hotels nearby, for example Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Pointe Claire. This hotel is 3 stars hotel, more modern looking, the nearest to Sportsplexe in Pierrefonds, about 3 Km. But I am afraid this hotel is fully booked too for the date from September 20-23. But if you rent a car from the airport Pierre Trudeau International in Dorval to go to the arena, you can stay at any hotel in the area of Pointe Claire, Dorval. The parking lot of the arena is quite big and free, no charge. Maybe a resident of this area, hello Claire from fan fest GS, can give us more information about hotels. Good health for you all and good summer.

I am happy to give you reason to come to Montreal and share our joy and love of Yuzuru. I hope to see you and other fans in Autumn Classics in Montreal. Enjoy the trip and the competition.

Oh my god. We always see him with his beautiful costumes or with his sport clothing for practice. I always imagine he is like a beautiful creature on the ice, etheral in his swan costume. I never see those muscles or his legs before on the ice or in his photos. He acquires those legs for his jumps, especially for those quads, I suppose. I remember I have seen video of Patrick Chan doing exercise in the gym with the bags hyperbare covering his legs, maybe to develop those muscles. Well figure skating is a sport, especially for men skaters. I suppose that our beautiful ladies skaters don't need those muscles.

Sorry to add my comments so late, but your post is so nice and just for me. I was there at the practice of the gala of Skate Canada 2016, and my feelings with Yuzuru skating the Swan are very strong too. Even I did not know the name of the song Notte Stellata of the Italian group Il Novo, I recognize the beautiful music The Swan that I like very much, that I remember the Olympic Champion 1994 Oxsana Bayul has skated to at The Gala of Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. He was so beautiful in this costume that no other male skater can wear it. In fact no other male skater can wear any of his costumes, because of the beautiful body line, beautiful face that he has. And you know what, before skating his practice of his Ex , he practiced jumps and does jumps contest with Evgenia, in this costume! Then when his name is called , the music starts, all the other skaters including Patrick Chan, Kevin, Meagan and Eric, Tessa and Scott, all left the ice and seating at the exit to watch him, to watch the beauty personified. Such beautiful memory we have at Skate Canada.

You can always throw your gifts on the ice for Yuzuru after his competition in shortprogram or free program, or even after the victory ceremonies . I remembered last year, there were a few gifts thrown on the ice. After the medal ceremonies for men, the medallists stayed on the ice for a long time posing for pictures of photographs, journalists and the fans. Yuzuru did also the axel or quads battle with his bouquet of flowers in his hand. When he falls on the ice, he stayed there laughing until Micha GE came in to help him get up. He enjoyed the time on the ice very much, until someone invited the skaters to leave the ice. even then, he continued to wave to the fans and spectators outside the ice, at the exit . Some young fans held out their hands to him, he jumps up to touch their hands to do high five. You can also think about the anticipation to discover his new costumes for short program and long program, the new music for long program. We held our breath when he appeared on the ice with his jacket on for warmup, then he takes his jacket out to reveal his new costume. You can hear the sound and applaud from the crowd. I think that he is the only skater to give us such trepidation and suspense. and he know it and seems to enjoy it.

You can follow the website of Skate Canada, on the site of Autumn Classics International in Montreal 2017, September 20-23. I think around July or August, they will start to provide reservation information. They will provide information for tickets purchase and reservation online, no payment needed, we pay only when we arrive to get the ticket, no lineup. After your reservation, they will send you an email for confirmation of your reservation, so you are guaranteed you get the ticket. Maybe You can also use the confirmation document of Skate Canada to obtain your visa or permit to travel to Canada. Also there are plenty of hotels, bed&breakfast , hostels in Montreal. The public transportation is very good, with metro, bus, train. you can buy Transport ticket online or at the airport, train station, metro station. They offer pass for one-day unlimited passages, for 3-days, for one-week, always unlimited passages. For one-day unlimited Pass, the cost is 10$Canadian.

Hello Last year at Autumn Classics Montreal I reserved the ticket online in the website of Skate Canada, in part because my Japanese friend wanted to make sure we get the tickets. But you don't need to, and they prepare in advance our tickets, when we came to collect our tickets, we pay with credit card. It is really a friendly place, no research on the bag, no question about whether you bring in water bottle or food. Anyway, you don't need to bring in food. There are lots of good restaurants, healthy meals, salads or burgers prepared on the spot to your orders. Friendly price too. We can watch the whole day if you want, go out for lunch and come back, as long as you wear the wristband. There is price also for each and every day too, if you don't want to stay for 3 days. For last year, I think the ticket costed 80 $ Canadian for all 3 days practice and competitions, or for each day: - First day is for practices for all 4 competitions, men, ladies, pairs and ice dance. Cost: 10$ Canadian, or 7$US, - Second day is all 4 short programs, cost: 30$ Canadian, or 20$ US - Third day is all free programs and victory ceremonies, cost: 40$ Canadian or 30$US. Think about you can follow Yuzuru in every step, when he practiced, when he skated in competition, with your own eyes, with carema, video, cell phone, iPad. Even you can see him for haft an hour or more in the meeting room with all 4 see-through glass walls. I was so surprised to see him inside this room, at about 3 feet from me. And it was the crowd of fans in front of the glass room which made me notice his presence there. I think Yuzuru is a little surprised and embarrassed too. He laught. We saw him with his entourage including his mother, but no coach Brian in there. I think that those laid back manners only happen in Canada. The organization around the competition is very laid back, they provided a space for the journalists at the last minute.

Don't worry about lineups fans waiting at the door. There were some fans who arrive for the first day at 5 or 6 am because they came from Toronto or US driving all night to get there early. But If it is like last year, I came to the arena at around 10 am to watch practice or competition, no waiting lines, just get my ticket for 3 days and wristband, so I was good for 3 days, come and go as I want. There are good restaurants on site, with lot of sofa, chairs for the public to eat or rest. There are also small shopping mails next to the arena with lots of restaurants. There are only wooden benches at the sides of the ice rink for spectators, but we have a lot of space, not full house. Last year for practice, there were lots of school children or young students from nearby schools who came to watch with their teachers or accompagnators, so it looked more full and more animated. i am happy to see Yuzuru skate at Autumn Classic Montreal again. I don't have to travel to Moscow for Cup of Russia, with the visa problem. Edit I want to add that was the first time I was standing very close to Yuzuru, when he came to the ice to practice and skate in competition. The rink has only benches just above the ice. So Yuzuru stands at about 3 feet from you. And once he was in a meeting room next to the ice rink with his team and Japanese journalists, and the meeting room has see-through glass walls all around. You can imagine the fans just happy to see him about 2 feet from them. It was quite funny, when the organizers understand that it is Yuzuru, not everybody else without hordes of fans, they hastily place security personnel in front of the glass walls to ask fans to stand farther than 3 feet away.

I will go to Autumn Classic Montreal, in my hometown, at Sportsplexe in Pierrefonds, like last year. It is about 1 hour from my house by metro and bus, or 15 min by car. i am happy to see Yuzuru practice and skate in my hometown, I don't have to worry about how to buy ticket for Cup of Russia, especially how to get a visa. There are at least 4 ice rink in the same building, where one rink is reserved for the competition and one rink next for practice, so you can go from one rink to the other depending which skater you want to watch. If it is like last year, you can reserve your ticket or buy on site , tickets for all events or 3 days for 80 $ Canadian or 60$US, no waiting lines. They give you a bracelet or wrist band to wear, so you can come and go out for lunch or shopping all day long. I hope to meet other fans from Canada and abroad too, especially our Japanese friends.

Hello I am a new member in this forum. I have tried unsuccessfully to install a photo of Yuzuru as my avatar. I have done all the steps to upload the photo. I tried to reduce the size to fit the square for the avatar. I also tried to reposition the photo according to the instructions, but it seems to reduce only vertically, not horizontally, so the photo is too big to fit. Please help me. Thank you. vadrouille

Yes I agree that Shoma is the most dangerous among youngsters not because he is better than others like Nathan or Boyang, but because the judges love him. They ignore all the problems of his jumps, prerotation, under rotation, bad landings. They give him undeserved GOE on jumps and PCS, unless he falls down on his jumps. Even his fans find that his jumps are ugly and scary, but the judges give him +2 or +3 GOE. But what can you do about that? By the way, I like the picture you put in your post. May I ask how to add a picture to your ID when you post?

Wonderful :goe: Yuzu must be delighted to see this, I bet. May I ask how to watch this video Weibo? Where to click because I don't read Chinese. Thank you

Picture I took at Worlds in Helsinki: Yes I remember I have seen this banner "Maple leaf loves Yuzuru" in the Hartwall arena. I am Canadian, I am not Japanese and I have traveled many times to see Yuzuru skate in competitions. Last year I have been in Autumn Classics 2016 in Montreal, my hometown, in Skate Canada 2016 in Mississauga, in GPF 2016 in Marseille, and World 2017 in Helsinki. I find it annoying that the world' journalists and skating commentators on TV are always saying that only Japanese fans are travelling to see Yuzuru, as if he is only loved and admired by Japanese fans, not by skating fans at large around the world. I have met many Yuzuru's fans who are not Japanese, just like me Canadian at the competitions, people come from different countries in Europe, French, Russian, Italian etc..., American, Canadian, Chinese. You don't have to love only the skaters or athletes because they are from your country. But it is hard to make them, journalists and commentators, to recognize that.
