OMG Yuzuru is present in my bedroom too, not in pictures on the wall, but in books, magazines, in many clear Lotte files sent to me by my good Japanese friend. I don't know if he will feel more assured, or less traumatized, knowing that he is also loved by many male and females of the ages of his parents or grandparents, like you and me. When my daughter went to visit Japan, she knew what I want as presents. She asked her Japanese friend where to buy books and magazines of Yuzuru and bring me his books and magazines. I remember when I went to GPF in Marseille, I have met many ladies with theirs daughters who are also fans of Yuzuru . Last year at Autumn Classics in Oakville, I went to eat in a restaurant with some ladies, including a Japanese ladie from Japan. She made us all laughing when she told us stories how her daughter aged 40 years old reacted. Because she always watches TV or videos of Yuzuru , so her daughter said : Oh mamie, you watch Yuzuru again!

Are you sure it is an old blue bathrobe ? I first thought it was kind of long sweater or something like that. If it is an old blue bathrobe, he is the only one who could look good in an old blue bathrobe over T-shirt and jeans. The least I can say is his taste for clothing is not very expensive. Or he does not care very much for fashion.

Sorry to try to give very late an answer to the question "Who is the blond lady in this video with Jackie of rocker skating.?" She is Andrea Joyce a sports reporter for NBC Sports Television. She works on figure skating competitions, so she is quite familiar with skating stars as is Yuzuru. She seems to admire Yuzuru very much, not only as a champion, but as a legend who has many fans around the world. Not only he is dominating his sport for many years, like Fererer or Serena in tennis, but nobody is the subject of love and obsession for him like Yuzuru. Jackie said Yuzuru is a rock star.

Thank you yuzuangel. But this place has only one or two beds and they are all booked up already for the same dates from 10-14 September 2019. I checked my previous addresses on booking.com where I stayed last year for ACI, they are all booked already for the same dates in September 2019. And those Homestays have many rooms each, but they are also not available on the dates of ACI 10-14 September 2019. Many hotels in Oakville are booked already. What happens in Oakville? We are not sure if Yuzuru will be there in ACI yet.

Can you give us the address please. Last year I found one Airbnb but quite far from the arena. Is it the same arena like last year? Thank you.

Happy Birthday to Michaelis. I hope your health is staying good for many years. I understand your thinking. I am your age too. It's funny that Yuzuru has fans from all ages. Your post on the situation that faced Yuzuru in his pursuit of skating and winning in future competitions makes me very worried. In light of what happened with the results and the judging at World 2019, I don't see how Yuzuru can win in the future against Nathan Chen. For the judges, a clean Nathan with 4-quad will win over a clean Yuzuru with 4-quad because: 1) Base value of Nathan is higher, 2) The judges will give Nathan more GOE than Yuzuru 3) Even Nathan got the same PCS as Yuzuru for now, maybe in the future Nathan will get more PCS than Yuzuru if he keeps winning competitions, 4) Yuzuru wants to increase his Base value by training and adding others quads including quad axel, quad lutz, quad flip in competitions. But his body, his past and present injuries and his age- now he is 24 compared to Nathan 19- all are making this decision very difficult to realise. He has only 1 or 2 or 3 years to do this. Is it enough time to get all those quads? What can happen to his body? More injuries? 5) Even if Yuzuru try to increase his Base value, does he will get the preference of the judges to give him GOE or PCS competitively compared to Nathan? In the end, I don't believe that is a winning battle. I hope that Yuzuru will think of his health first. His health is the priority. He can not train and win competitions if he is not in good health or he is injured. I pray for his health. Please no more injuries. Sorry for my long post and sad feelings.

I know you mean this as a fantasy, a dream, an imagination, not really a reality to happen. I understand that you are talking about a hypothetical scenario just for fun. So I add my thoughts about this discussion. No offence even If I have to disagree with this scenario. Sorry to disagree. I love Yuzuru, but I love also he keeps his ankle, his health as a priority, not planning to have a SP with maximum score 130 points. In fact, I hope he never again get injuries while practicing to land 4Lutz, 4A, 4Lo. Those are only jumps, impossible jumps without sustaining injuries. I prefer to see him skating beautifully, without falling or injured, with joy in his skating. No need to win every competition. No need to have maximum score. By the way, I hope no skater will try to do this, even Nathan Chen, Boyang, Shoma, anyone. Even if I am not a fan of those skaters,I don't want them to get injured. I want them to skate as long as they want.So we can enjoy their skating without worrying for them being injured all the time.

Hi Nicole or LittleLottie I read the article on Japan Times about fans and you at Helsinki GP 2018. I am very happy for you to be able to go to see Yuzuru in Helsinki. I too hope to see Yuzuru again next year in 2019 in Canada. He has participated in Skate Canada many times, in Autumn Classics at least 3 or 4 times already. I was lucky to be able to see him skate many times in Canada since World in 2013 at Skate Canada and at Autumn Classics. World 2020 , not 2019 sorry, will be in Montreal my hometown, Canada. World 2019 in March 2019 will be in Saitama, Japan. I hope he will get well, heal his ankle and return to competition soon. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. I edit to correct the error.

I am very sad it is confirmed now that Yuzuru is still injured and he has to WD from Japan Nationals. I am only worried for his ankle. I know this is very sad for him to miss Japan Nationals 2018 again for the third year, a competition he wants to participate the most. i don't care what the haters say about him or his WD, even if he is in good health and skate at Nationals, they still are the haters and say what ever their sick mind want to say. We can do nothing about it. In the future, I hope Yuzuru will restrain himself in training, no quad axel or quad loop. I prefer he still skate and compete in good health than being injured. I pray for Yuzuru's good health and happiness in new year 2019.

Really Yuzuru is back in Toronto right now? I am so happy to know he is back to his second home in Canada. He is very loved here in Canada. Happy Birthday to you dear Yuzuru. I hope someone show him the big birthday card that his fans put for him in the bus stop in front of the Cricket Club.

This article must be from some haters I suppose. They seem to enjoy every occasion they can seize when Yuzuru is injured to say bad things about him. Just ignore them. We can do nothing about them. Let them enjoy what they can find in their unhappy life.

Happy Birthday to dear Yuzuru. I wish you good health, happiness and great successes in skating competitions and in life. I have seen the video of Finnish TV on Yuzuru and his fans at GP Finland in Helsinki 2018. I am so happy to see the reactions of his fans. Thank you to the poster who made it available to us. Yes we love him because of the person and the skater he is, despite the injuries, the hardships he encountered. We are his fans from all over the world, not just Japanese. I am from Canada, Origin from Vietnam. I have met many fans from China, from the US, from Europe, from Asia. We all love him because he speaks to our heart. We are from all ages.

Yes I agree with you about the taste of Nathalie Pechelat for her own costumes when she did competitions in Ice Dance. I remembered in Sochi Olympics her FD was about Egyptian Mommies and she wears a costume with white bandages like toilet papers. It was quite stunning as bad taste. And she thinks she has the right to dictate what a male skater must wear or can wear in competitions and exhibitions. I can not understand why she complained about the Swan costume of Yuzuru. It was amongst the best costumes ever. Now another French commentator Alban Preaubert(is it his name sorry if I don't get it right?) said that he does not like Yuzuru 's costume because it is blue (same colour as Johnny Weir 's costume in Otonal). Both of them seem very narrow mind to me. They talk only about the costume, not about the skating. Are they commenting like that too with skaters other than Yuzuru? I live in Canada, in Montreal Quebec where French language is our first and official language, before English. I listen more to English programs when there is skating broadcasted on TV, like on CBC or TSN rather than on French television. But our Canadian commentators both in French or in English always appreciate and compliment Yuzuru 's skating, even when Yuzuru competes against our own skater Patrick Chan. Kurt Browning, Carol Lane, PJ Kwong are all big fans of Yuzuru. Sorry for French fans of Yuzuru who have to listen to those two French commentators on TV.

I think that Roman Sadowsky was born in 1999 I believe. So he is 19 y.o. now. He is very tall and handsome. I think he is even taller than Nam Nguyen who is quite tall himself. Two years ago, at a competition Autumn Classics in Barrie, Nam at 17 years old was already taller than Yuzu. Roman and Nam are now training with the same coachs in Toronto. So Yuzuru feels like his younger brothers are growing up bigger and taller than himself. That is why he tried to stand on his toe picks during the victory ceremony in Autumn Classics in Oakville 2018.

Hello I am quite ignorant about the music of his FP. I know Nijinsky is the name of a famous Russian ballet dancer. Nijinsky is also the name of the free program of Pluschkenko skating to in 2006. But who is the composer of this music? Is he Tchaikovsky or someone else? I like to listen to the audio of this music of FP. For the SP, I always like Otonal music. The tune, the melody are just so beautiful. I remember Maria Buturskaya skating to Otonal longtime ago, before Weir skating to this music in 2006 Olympics. It will be exciting to see his new programs unveiled in Autumn Classics, and the unveiling of his costumes. I can't wait.

I am so happy for Yuzuru and for all of us his fans. Yuzuru the two-time Olympics Champion. The only skater to repeat his Olympics gold medal in two consecutive games, since the American skater - sorry I forgot his name- , since 66 years. I am sorry I have worried and doubt him when he was injured in NHK and he has to pull out of the competitions. Now we wonder what next ? Will he go to World in Milan next month, March or April ? Or he will prefer to skip the event and try to rest and heal his strained ankle ?

I like to have a link to his EX Notte Stellata at Cup of Russia. There is a link to this Ex on YouTube but without music, or with another different music, not the version Notta stellata that he uses. Why I don't know. Thank you.

Now it's official he has WD in Japan Nationals. It has came as no surprise, since they announced recently his injuries and he was still. off the ice. I am not optimistic about his chance of winning the gold medal in the Olympics. Like Javi said, a medal of any colour is fine for himself (for Javi). I just hope Yuzuru will get well soon, will be able to train for the Olympics. I just hope for him to be able to go to the Olympics, skate well, two beautiful programs, even with 3 or 4 quads, no quad loop or lutz. He can win a medal with a content like at world 2017. A medal of any colour is a big win for me. The most important thing for me is he is happy and healthy again. I don't care anymore about winning with a world record every time he competes. He is a human being, not a machine to jump many quads everyday. To train many quads everyday is a risk for every skater. I want to stay positive and hope for Yuzuru to be able to skate again and prepare for the Olympics. The most important thing for him is his health.

I am late but I want to say Happy Birthday to Yuzuru, good health, get well soon and good luck at Nationals and at the Olympics. Go get the gold medal with two beautiful programs SP and FP. We love you Yuzuru, from Canada and from all over the world.

I am very sad for Yuzuru and for all of us his fans. I can't describe what I feel, so sudden when this accident arrives, with the consequences of his injury and withdraws from NHK. But why JSF took all banners down I don't understand. All banners of all skaters, or only banners of Yuzuru were taken down? They don't like him ? They don't want him on their team? I want to be positive. I pray for his recovery, for his health.
-
I hope Yuzuru will skate well with 2 beautiful programs and win the gold medal. Also Yuzuru is in good health, strong all the way to win at the Olympics in February.
-
Me too. I am too nervous to watch live on stream. I follow the results then watch YouTube. The only times I watch live are when I am there in the arena. But such live is much better than YouTube. I pray for his health, good conditions and skate well, two beautiful programs. And win every competition he enters.

@Geo1 I like your report very much Geo1. You really describe what It was the interaction between Yuzuru and his fans that night. Thank you. Yuzuru must feel less sad that night and proud for the love and support of all his fans. I hope that someone in his entourage told him that all of us his fans feel lucky to be there to see him skate. All the banners hanged around the ice were for him. All the women (and at least one man) young and old were going crazy for him. We feel so elated to see him smile at us when acknowledging our love and support.

And I love that Elizabeth wears the same model of skates revolution 99 like the ones of Yuzuru. I think that he has a big influence amongst other skaters, male or female. A lot of skaters now wear those skates, especially the men skaters in US, in Canada. Michal Ge wears them, Nathan Chen, Adam Rippon etc..I dare to say that he has more admirers and fans around the world than the number of his fans in Japan. Even in Japan, his fans will travel around the world to see him skate. Many of his fans in Japan has bought the tickets for Skate Canada this year 2017 before the announcement of GP, so they are now stuck with the tickets that nobody want to buy. They travel 10 000 kms, spent thousands of dollars only to see him, not for any other skater.
