There doesn't seem to be a thread for these so I thought I'd start one here. I actually only wanted some place to post medal designs but figured why not just have a general thread for these events instead? They're certainly big enough to garner one. I dunno which forum to open it under though but figured this one would be a safe bet. Admins/mods are free to move it, if they feel there's some place else better. Oops, had a brainfart and didn't think to check this forum. Sorry for the trouble, @sallycinnamon,and thanks for moving my post! ^.^

Anyway, we all know what the PC Games medals look like:

Here's an interview with one of the lead designers :

The design doesn't seem to appeal to all but it definitely had me salivating at first sight because it checks all my aesthetic boxes. I thought it couldn't get any better. Until I saw the Paralympics one:

The basic design remains the same but those details and trimmings in Braille are just...the whole thing just slays to me.

Ohh, I love the Paralympic medal a lot - I like the patterning and the Braille is such a thoughtful touch. It's always nice to see designers' processes - I think I'm being reconciled to the main medal design.... I just need it around the right neck

Right? If there's an Olympics for medal design, next year's Paralympics one deserves the gold in my books. ^__^

The medals are so nice, I like the simplicity of the design! And the medals for the the Paralympics are probably the most beautiful medals ever! Congratulations to the designers.

Dear God, it's getting closer and closer!
