I don't want to spoil the show for anyone who hasn't seen it. I'm just going to say that nothing about it so far has been what I expected - in the best way possible.

 

Yuzu's doing amazing. Like, really amazing. He's so unafraid of taking artistic risks. I'm so impressed.

Tbh i think it's pretty common knowledge that this is the thread is where comments usually happen during the event so people who don't want spoilers won't be coming here

I do not know if this is considered spoilers, but the narration feels like what you'd get if you take every key scenes in a shounen manga AND its protag's monologues, then condense into a 2-hour (?) ice show 😂

 

Somehow this is incredibly on-brand for Yuzu 😂

.omg I can't really summarise because it's so much but it's like sci fi lab created being discovering the world and himself and there's language as Sound???  And some faceless guide popping in when Yuzu/VGH-257(I think?) asks questions? All in all feels really like a movie, more cohesive than previous stories in a way, I agree with Lae here

New costume? Similar to Otonal2 but IMO better from what I can tell

I love this program, so glad he's using it in Echoes

 

Echoes it's really like a movie, GIFT and RE_PRAY were already cinematic but Echoes even more so, could easily be a real movie (also IMO such a good example of technology being at the service of human imagination rather than a substitute)

Idk why this last scene is moving me so much, it's just...ahhh idk really a movie (a good one), like those movies that you can't really catalogue and maybe you don't fully understand with your mind, but you feel, a movie you'll remember at the weirdest moments because it dug a place for itself deep inside you)
