So, because I like to torture myself, I checked out protocols and tried to figure out where Keegan would have placed if he'd gone clean... he lost at least 10 pts just in BV on the popped axel and missed spin, which eould have been enough to move him up to 6th, behind Jason. Assuming he'd have got + GOE and so on, the best he could have done was compete with Jason for 5th... I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or worse...

At least Uchimura Kohei is not proposed by him. And I don't think he personally invited the hula loop lady. He is a big part of NS but it's obviously different from Prologue or GIFT.

I don't know what translation you're reading but in the English translation, Yuzu says right there in that interview that he was the one who wanted to collaborate with Uchimura and create something new. And Uchimura has also said that Yuzu was the one who asked him.

I've also understood that it wasn't originally Yuzu's idea to invite Kohei. Yuzuru is the chairman of the show, not the producer (https://nottestellata.com/). That said, I'm sure many of the skaters were invited on his suggestion.

And what part of being the "chairman" suggests to you that he wasn't the one in charge? I do NOT understand why there's this idea out there that Yuzu's somehow not the boss of the very shows he creates.

My favorite performance last night:  Kevin Aymoz, bar none! 

 

Absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing interpretation of the music, and it suits his style - lyrical but interpreted with his uniquely animal-like twists and turns.  It was his entire body dancing to the music.  I really hope Yuzu will invite him to perform with him in some future event.  Perhaps in Europe?

Fully agree.  Notte Stellata was his own production, and not a part of some established production like FaOI. 

 

And I believe it is his own choice to participate in SOI.  This will give him chance to continue performing in front of his audience without having to expend his entire life and soul into producing his own show, which is probably very exhausting and he needs to recharge. 

 

You can also see that he loves performing with the other skaters, and it will be a chance to test out new ideas with relatively lower investment in time and energy.  He has always loved skating.  What made him disappointed were the travesties at the competition, and not the skating itself.

It was absolutely his own choice to participate in SOI, but the event was organised by NTV, not Yuzuru/Sirius. Yuzuru was listed as the director for GIFT and Prologue, but not NS.

Kevin, unfortunately, chose to stay with some of the most controversial coaches out there, like Hamada and Eteri sort of coaches, knowing full well what they did. 

 

Given how problematic those people are, I don't know inviting Kevin anywhere is a good idea, no matter how talented he is. 

I don’t plan to watch worlds 2023 so I just watched Jun’s free skate today. Wow i think it was amazing!

Update on Saturday: 18,081. So I guess the official capacity, as mentioned by the Olys channel and the EU (20,000 seats), is correct. I'm trying to see if I can find articles dated back to 2014 and 2019 regarding attendance rate, but haven't not found any so far. 

 

So in short, from what I have gathered, Worlds in Saitama this year should have some 20,000 seats.

 

The number of audience attending each competition day were

Wednesday: 6,110 (30.55%)

Thursday: 10,428 (52.14%)

Friday: 12,976 (64.88%)

Saturday: 18,081 (90.46%)

 

Assuming that double counting is allowed, these four days attracted 47,605/80,000 people to the arena (59.51%). Is that a good or bad number? I do not know. I would like to compare with the previous years or perhaps an alternative source to find out.

 

Please take these data with a grain of salt because that anti-Yuzu, self-proclaimed reporter can't even report the correct total seat capacity. Also that guy said the organizer was happy with the attendance rate over the first two days. I believe that was also a lie LOL. If I were an organizer I wouldn't be happy seeing just half a stadium or less filled. 

 

PS: From what I have seen so far probably the gala exhibition should attract the same amount as on the third day.
