Well Sota is not as good in the FS .... as least he wasn't at IDF.  Beautiful skater.  His gala exhibition piece is brilliant too.  Kazuki just needs to pull it all together.  He's sheer joy on Ice.  Hoping he'll do well in the FS.  Adam for Gold all the way from me though. :fingerscrossed:

I would be happy with a podium with those three in any order

Didn't get a chance to watch ice dance or men's SPs, and just based on other ppl's commentary, maybe I don't want to watch? :ninja:

In any case, I'm here now for pairs FS.

....how on earth did Spencer and Emily get those scores when their tech box was half red? 😑

Insomnia night - might as well watch NHK - skating in possession of an American passport alive and kicking

Oh Riku and Ryuichi are absolutely adorable in the kiss&cry....lovely skate from them.

At least Brooke & Benjamin got a score I would expect for a fall in the program.

I can’t believe the difference in Kihara - he used to look rather dour and miserable with previous partners - she’s made such a difference to him

That's interesting.  Ted kept commenting on how well connected they seemed to be with each other. Guess they're both on the same wavelength?

Must be.  It’s so difficult with Japanese rules on citizenship for pairs and ice dance - Takahashi/Tran were their last successful pair, and that foundered on his citizenship stopping them competing in the Olympics.  I’m so pleased that M/K are doing so well and hopefully more will try pairs and ice dance -there are so many Japanese singles skaters.  Saw a photo of Satoko and Keiji skating together at the opening - that would be a lovely pairing.

:smiley-laughing021: Ted talking about judges noticing errors the viewer doesn’t notice …..

It would but I get the feeling that switching from singles to pairs is harder than it looks.

Ah - I was thinking ice dance tbh - bit late for pairs but if Takahashi can do it ID would be a possibility.

Keiji in ice dance would be a treat!

Oh Amber. Really just not your weekend, is it?

She got the 3A - shame about he landing - sometimes wonder whether the relief of getting a big element done affects the later part of the skate - concentration broken
