The things I'm willing to do to get Yuzu performing a full Nessun Dorma program, no one can imagine. All shirtless peaches etc stuffs for you guys, I’m weeping over this. Idk why but I can’t get over it at all. :tumblr_inline_mzx8t1Yuvn1r8msi5:

Sobs, this is so good, why so short.:tumblr_inline_mqt4gmPEiv1qz4rgp:

This! The finale clip was my favorite part of the stream. :girlsigh: But so short.... I guess it only makes me more excited for the livestream in a few hours.

I'm seriously considering to invest in a Japanese language course

I know the feeling. I started my Japanese lessons on Duolingo last month, haha.

The finale was beautiful, I totally agree.

But also - that interview - he seems to feel so relaxed, they laugh a lot, he's doing his way of telling little stories by showing and mimicking, doing voice.

We got a lot today and tomorrow we're getting even more.

I am deeply involved with "Reason". It is as intense to watch as the reports said. Yuzu works so well with the music, the ondulating movements challenging balance while displaying struggle. We can finally learn more about what feelings Yuzu wanted to express and how much effort he put into it. Thanks @LiaRyfor sharing, I was about to post the same link.

Raison d'Etre

The reason for existence

Yuzu always say he "was born for his skate" born to skate.

Symbolism is the choreography and costuming aiding the story telling

White clothing to represent 'purity' or perhaps integrity and to do so and skate in the the way he feels is right for him he needs almost perfect isolation. There is loneliness, but his style of skating becomes untouched by outside contamination. The purple perhaps represents a toxic stain from corrupting influence, maybe the corrupted scores. The unfairness and mistreatment of Yuzu as a competitor must have been crushing to his psyche and whatever he does is never rewarded, he is open to being hurt

By isolating himself and taking solace from skating in his own way, he accepts that his efforts are poorly recognised, but he has remained untainted and can move forward finding freedom and joy once again from his own work, done for himself and his loyal supporters.

Just a few thoughts, thank you for your indulgence

And I think Yuzu did a wonderful job with this performance. He always said that he wants people to feel something by his performances and those feelings can be different from person to person and I think here more than others he was able to do that. We have his interpretation and now that I read about it I can go back and watch with his interpretation in mind, but we have our own feelings which can differ from person to person and that is wonderful. that is art.

A few posts ago someone said about the costume that the white is "poisoned by the black-purple", and I said that I'd like to think that it is the light winning over darkness and his dark times. But now I like to interpret it like being tempted to corruption but light, his light and pureness, winning anyway because he tried to succumb to darkness (we all have those moments) but he couldn't. His skating, why he skates and how he skates is full of light for people so he chooses his skating over medals.

As I said I have my head full of thoughts and they come out little by little by reading all your comments, too.

Gosh I love Raison!!!!!

Thank you for sharing. I had my own self indulgent post trying to interpret Raison with the little footage we had at that time 😅. The costume is really symbolic.

By the way, I still haven't read the translation of the song so I'm totally speaking about a "what I see" kind of thoughts...

But I love the white costume... and Raison! Sorry if I repeat myself... I wasn't so hyped since I watch Seimei for the first time... well that's not entirely true... LMEY had the same effect on me... Okay, sleep now! or I will write all Yuzu's best performances (so every single of them...)

Raison has such depth and many layers to discover. If the performance is Yuzu's story condensed into a few minutes, each action/ movement/ expression will be infused with meaning.

Interrupting the deep discussion about Raison to bring this here

I have wondered as well about his family's reaction 😂

Hahahaha I have wondered about his family's reaction to a lot of stuff he does....

BTW, Yuzuru Hanyu, the man that can kill you with a dead look but struggle with a T-shirt.... He is human after all...

Oh and I want his waist... but we all know that, right?
