[2022] ISU World Championships (21.03-27.03) - Pairs' SP + FS

Ok, I still want to post my comment I started typing before that fall happened:

I like the japanese pair, I really do, but what the heck? How did they get these scores? Did I miss something? Don't get me wrong, still happy for them, but it feels kind off wrong.....

And I'm really proud of our German pair. After the horrible olympics, this was really nice to see.

Ashley fell on her sbs 3S jump... I watched the replay and it looks like she hit her chin hard on the ice. The look on her face right after was as if she had no idea where she was. My first impression is that that is how you look after you sustain a concussion (having had more than 1 myself). What a scary moment for them both. I hope she'll be ok. There is never a good time for any injury, but for an athlete one of the worst times must be in competition when you're going for a medal. I feel for her so much.

Alexa/brandon skated well. After what happened right before them, it would have been understandable if they'd skated poorly, but they didn't. They skated well and deserved to win here. Alexa has had her share of problems, so to see a good skate here was really nice. I"m sure her husband is thrilled too.

For Riku/Ruichi, well, honestly they were lucky to get the marks they did. I enjoyed them all season, but I think that was the worst performance they have given all year. They had been so consistent. But, this season has been pretty break out for them. They've made a name for themselves and are in the conversation now for all podiums.

Vanessa/Eric. They skated the best they have all season. I enjoyed their program and thought it was probably second best of the night after the winners.

I absolutely love the Georgian team. They have all the things necessary to be really good. I"m looking forward to next year for them. She is such a classic female pairs skater.

As if a bad fall isn't bad enough in the pairs event:

I hope it was confiscated
