February 9, 20224 yr @Melodie: Sorry to hear about that gruesome experience of yours! @xoxo26xoxo: welcome! Sorry that you joined at such a crazy time.
February 9, 20224 yr @wingman I never know being a Fanyu can be this hard. Never in my life I cried so hard for someone who doesn't even know about my existence and yet, here I am. What did you do to me, Yuzu.

February 9, 20224 yr I just woke up and checked the updates. Thank you Universe for being the absolute sh*t to it wtf..... I hope he is fine
February 9, 20224 yr Is it me or he looks frustrated. It looks like he still hasn't accepted what had happened in SP. I hope he will leave Beijing healthy. I woke up from a bad nightmare of him being injured. I have cold sweats all over me now. btw, according to my fanyu experience, not clean RT is good, he usually does the opposite in the actual competition.

That wry smile after 4A fall was frustration in some way, whether injury or general annoyance we shall learn tomorrow I guess
February 9, 20224 yr If he lands 4A in practice just how his former coach said, I think him being unable to put better attempts in public practices is a mental block or something. Because in practices, he looks far from rotating it but his coach said he landed it. Also another observation, he looks a bit uneasy in open practices. It looks like he isn't used to skate around people and is afraid of collisions (which is understandable). He pops his jumps when he feel someone is getting close. Also I'm worried if he can do the 3A3Loop and the 3F in the competition smoothly. Because he doesn't look like to be used to it.

February 9, 20224 yr Just now, Paskud said: Ghislain said so too long time ago. Yet here we are. I don't mean I don't believe him landing it. It is true but how he can't reproduce it even closely in public. He lands on 1 foot in private but can't fully rotate in public. It's something mental.

I mean, speaking from personal experience, jumping is harder when there's a lot of people around you, because you have to constantly have an eye out so that you don't crash into anyone. I always have a much harder time forcing myself to jump big if there are too many people around me. Granted, I'm not doing anything particularly difficult and I'm not an elite athlete, so idk how much my experience applies to Yuzu, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's affecting him.
February 9, 20224 yr umm so something happened in the TE cuz things are getting serious. It wasn't the speed skating: none of the Russians were in practice too????

Pretty sure the Russian women have been out and about, I saw stuff of Shcherbakova/Trusova on ice in the last couple hours- although I haven't seen Valieva...
