Yoongi has had access to his studio his entire enlistment; Hobi's been out 8 or 9 months - and both he and Jin have spent time in LA with producers. Namjoon says he hasn't written anything while he's been enlisted and I tend to believe him on that. He's been depressed. And busy. But he is prolific and has plenty to write about. Just a prediction -

Just a prediction - I think that is way too early. They not only need to heal and get themselves back on track and in the right mindset as an individual, but also, they need to find themselves as bts again. I think the first song after coming back will be one that says "we are back and this is us" and not a fast chosen song they received, just to put something out quick. And finding a theme, the tone and color they want to show as bts will take some time. Also, Hobi needs a break and has Hobipallooza, Jin will go on tour and the others all need to find themselves again. I think end of the year might be realistic.
