rockstaryuzu
Got my new passport today. Turned out the guy manning the desk where I picked it up was, if not ARMY, at the very least a fan of J-Hope and commiserated with me about missing the show. Nice, but where was he two weeks ago..... Guys, a friend of mine really asked me to give her some song recommendations for kpop songs . Spoiler We had dinner, I talked about the txt concert and what I like about kpop music, cause she wanted to know about it and now she wants to listen to some songs. Gosh, I really have to think carefully about what to give her.....I'm nervous😅. I want give her a variety of songs, many different stiles. So far I'm thinking: Bts: on, not today, spring day or magic shop Bts Rap: heagum, cypher 4 or ddang Txt: farewell neverland, resist, lovesong, eternally or frost Ateez: Halazia, blind Le Sserafim: unforgiven G-Idle: tomboy Hwasa: na Any thoughts or experience which songs worked best for your friends? I know many say mic drop is the bts song that gets most into kpop, but if i had heard it first, not sure i would be where I'm now. Don't get me wrong, I love the song now, but not as a first kpop song i ever heard.

I'd start with songs similar to that style and then add to the list songs that show BTS's range. And don't forget the solo stuff! Or you could recommend a whole album. BE might be a good one to start with

BE might be a good one to start with She is category: play me a song and I'll tell you if I like it (like me). She loves imagin dragons (goes to their concert), can vibe to songs from the 80s and parties at techno parties😂. She found it interesting when I told her that Kpop is much more creative in its song structure and sometimes mixes different genres in one song. That's why I want to show her many different styles. "Typical" kpop songs, but also songs with a more unusual genre mix or structure.

Well if she likes all that, BTS should be right up her alley... the only genre they haven't done is country music (so far)

I have decided to write a key word behind each song (fun, rap, powerful, emotional, groovy, different). That way she can better decide which sound direction she wants to try. It gives an overview and I can make more recommendations, without feeling like spamming her😎😉.

If someone had only heard Cypher, for example, they may not thing BTS is for them, but then hear Boy in Luv or Dynamite or.... Jimin "Who" music video is over 100M views. I'm so pleased for him that this milestone occurred before he gets home. Oh- watch Kian's Bizarre B+B. Indeed, very bizarre. Not too far in but have to say that the #1 personality characteristic of Jin that is super obvious in this one is his ability to be adaptable and helpful and accepting, even when it's clear towards the beginning that he thinks the whole thing is absurd.
