No but I have a mini rant.

They waited till their chosen faves finally get their medals in Beijing and now, remembering AI can be actually beneficial? Idk maybe I'm pessimistic but I feel they won't implement AI in the near future at all, at least not when Yuzu is still competing. But the simple AI system for counting the rotations can change the scores a lot. Nate's 3A (his recent 4Lz and 4S too), All of Shoma's quads, Yuma's lutz, most of the jumps of Russian's girls are all major examples of top skaters benefiting from the lack of such system.

If only AI was implemented faster, Yuzu would have had a much easier and happier career. sigh.

I'll match your pessimism. Humans have to tell and train AI before it kicks off, right? What is to say they wont screw the technology off right out of the starting gate by giving it examples done by their pets?

What another spit in Yuzuru's shadow moment. Do and say nothing until now on AI....

I was kind of mad about that too.😂 Anyway, since Yuzu got 4A< this Olys, I hope the judges won’t ratify someone else’s less perfect attempt as 4A<, 4Aq, or even 4A. Otherwise I’ll get really mad. If they’re very strict with Yuzu, they should score other skaters in the same way.

I too believe it won’t happen, for at least five more years (I’m being generous here, I think it’ll be more like ten years). But when and if it finally happens, it’s a small step in the right direction.

I think, this is actually a reason to celebrate a bit :cheer:

This is great! Yuzu's popularity is still growing and there are more and more people who are discovering him. :cheer:

And considering the fact that YouTube isn't available in China and Yuzu has many Chinese fans, I can imagine that there are also quite a couple of videos on Chinese platforms that have millions of views.

This looks great, thanks for sharing! And i think there are 2 more geo-blocked videos from Beijing Olympics with 1M+ views:

It is great to see so many different programs having at least one representation in this list. But what a pity that there is no Let's go Crazy. What could have been without those damn copyrights, right? :sad-smiley-046:

*Laughs in Shoma’s UR every jump possible and Yuma’s flutz right in front of the salad of Technical panel.*

I’m still actually processing how Olympics judges give +GOE to Yuma stepping out from his jump, that doesn’t even need AI to detect, you know. Anyway, the first federation who will protest against the usage of AI will be JSF itself.

Thank you very much for sharing the links!

Update: I added them to the +1M YT playlist and here in the PH wiki too :2thumbsup:

I'm so happy that Haru Yo Koi got such a high view number already despite the geo-blocking. It's Yuzu's most viewed gala performance now, surpassing Notte Stellata from Pyeongchang!

It's sad that these two EX programs are the only ones with Masquerade that made the list. Hana wa saku from Stockholm and Requiem Boston should be there too.

I took a quick look at Yuzu’s view numbers on bilibili.com (one of China’s most popular video sites).

(As of 20220228. Videos are all Yuzu-centered.)

❤️45K Yuzu videos + 650M views in total

❤️60+ Videos above 1M views

(20+ of them were uploaded this month.)

❤️Mostly viewed video: A compilation of Yuzu’s selected programs (mostly clean but there's also 2016 GPF Let's Go Crazy😝)

❤️2014 COC (in China) FS Phantom of the Opera: 2.1M+ views.

I think many Chinese friends got to know Yuzu and became fanyu because of this event…Special memories for both Yuzu and the Chinese audience…

Rightly so. GPF 2016 LGC must not be left out of any serious Yuzu compilation because queen of skating skills and exquisite performance. Anything else would be a travesty and that performance deserved 109 points, because a clean skate should have been a 116 with the old BV of the 4Lo.

:acceptable:

Agreed; however, even though Requiem Boston is hauntingly beautiful I for one find it emotionally difficult to watch, so I can see why people might not watch it over and over again. Especially since many of us turn to Yuzu's programs when we need comfort.
