Makes me feel a bit more calmer tbh :sadPooh:

When I saw that photo, initially I wondered if it was a planned vacation for Orser. Here's how the little mini theatre went (in my brain).

Sorry if this goes :offtopic2:

It was a normal day, and Brian was having a normal conversation with the student he usually monitored like a hawk-Javi.

Javi: *blah blah blah* oh, and Yuzu was practicing his 4 Lz today. He tried..think 5, and managed to land 2 of them. So I'm thinking maybe I should also up my tech and start the 4 Loop. So, maybe when I get back, can you spot me? Yuzu's so focused that he hasn't been giving me input during my practices.

Brian: that's gre-wait what?

*Somewhere in the background, the sound of a dropped coffee mug shattering into pieces on the hardwood floors of Brian's immaculate living room echos throughout. The birds outside the window stop chirping.*

Javi: Yeah. I know you said maybe I don't need to update my technical content, but I don't know...I think that 4 loop is possible...

Brian: Javi...hold that thought....how many days till Kobe performance?

Javi: Huh?

The next day, at TCC. Brian hands over the coaching mantle to Tracy and Briand, after informing them that he will be going to Japan due to a situation that has arisen.

Tracy: So it is *that.*

Brian:  Yes, it is due to *that.* I told him not to do *that* until he comes back, but noooo....

Tracy: Well, at least it is *that* and not *that other one.*

Meanwhile in Japan, Yuzuru sneezes. Someone was saying something about him behind his back? But who would tattle? Well...if that does happen, then yes, all according to plan. :devilYuzuf:

The other half involved Brian asking Jeff why he didn't tell him about Yuzu's extra practices, and Jeff replying that he swore to Yuzu to keep it a secret (with his right hand over his heart and a left hand placed on a Pooh bear).

The other thought I had was the 4A isn't too far off. The previous video (many pages ago) someone posted, he said sometime around Sochi, he had already started a 4A, and was about 1/4 rotation short. It seems that each time he starts to practice something, usually about 2 seasons later, he is able to put it into competition. And given his 4 Loop history, he usually can stablize a technique if he concentrates on it over 1 summer (which is crazy). I actually think his 4 loop timing got delayed by 1 season due to his 14/15 and early 2016 health issues. His 4 lz seems to be going faster than his 4 loop? Actually i'm tempted to say 19/20 for the 4A, if not earlier...afterall, Jin Boyang said he wants to do an all quad program, and no way is Yuzu going to lose...

...Can you please squeeze pooh's head for me? :13877886:I think a 5 T might be doable, since a Toe loop does have a bit of pre-rotation built in when you launch into the jump (it's closer to 4.5 rotations), but I draw the line at 5 Loop.

We are the only fandom talking about possible quints, right?:sadPooh:

Just had the chance to keep up with this thread again after such a long day and wow that Brian's side of story about Yuzu's growth this season was amazing to read. Thanks a lot @gladi for sharing.

I think both Brian and Yuzu underestimated their relationship. They actually understood and trusted each other more than they actually realized.

For instance, Brian trusted Yuzu to be able to overcome by himself what Brian thought was merely an ambition to become the 1st man to land the 4Lo in competition. This trust, however, eventually misled him about Yuzu's plan and goal. Yuzu, on the other hand, understood his plan and Brian's ideal weren't on the same page and thus, according to Brian, kept his silence, while trying to eventually show Brian what his real ideal was.

Both Brian and Yuzu really should have trusted their bond more. I think both of them didn't say anything at first bc both of them were afraid if their ideals were really different to the point they couldn't work together anymore. Where in fact, they basically seeked the same thing, a complete performance. Their difference was the approach to that complete performance. Brian, in my opinion, preferred the conservative approach. He wanted to build the program slowly and keep adding more and more to the program till perfection with time. Yuzu, in contrast, wanted to have all the tools ready before building the program; thus, the intense 4Lo practice. It's hard to judge which approach is better, as we all can see Yuzu's approach affected his program's other components. However, with Brian's approach, the 4Lo would probably take more time to be stable.

I am just really glad Brian took the initiative to talk with Yuzu and cooperated their ideals together. The amazing H&L performance we watched at Worlds was the fruit of incorporating both Brian's more old school approach with Yuzu's youngster mind (it's funny how Brian still called Yuzu a youngster when people who are not Yuzu's fans are all calling him the veteran, like yeah a veteran at the age of 22 ).

The reason why I like and respect Brian is because he wants to take time to learn and understand his students. If he thinks he doesn't know what's happening anymore, he wants to ask and know what happens. He also doesn't force his ideals to his students and accepts differences. He acknowledges his flaws and wants to go back and learn from it. This season, I don't think only Yuzuru who is maturing; Brian too, is maturing as a coach. I think Brian's view towards the quad race has shifted thanks to Yuzuru. From the way he spoke, I don't think Brian was fond of the quad race especially with the way the youngsters handled it recklessly. However, Yuzuru has shown him that the way the youngsters approached the quad race was not the only way to do it, you could still have a fully packed balance program with those quads.

@Hydroblade it is so soft...crying:embSwan::dpooh:

I understand why there was a photo of Yuzu smelling ...

The tissue box is a little bit bigger than the Japanese version.

Bye everyone, I am going to squeeze the pooh head now...

OMG this is so cute and squeezable

I sleep with 5 Pooh on my bed, 2 of which I bought in Japan, 1 tsum tsum and 1 large plush I bought here in US, and honestly the Japan's version plush is so stiff and unsquezzable. I always hug my large plush instead bc it's so soft. But this tissue box oh my gooodddd I think I might buy it :embSwan:

We aren't really Yuzu fans. We became Pooh slaves.

Disney should just sponsor Yuzu, considering how much Pooh items have been sold due to him...seriously.

Pooh slavedom is not such a bad slavedom. Think about it: your master is soft,  squeezable, and will not protest when you squeeze him on a bad day. Plus, think of the other guy in the Pooh slavedom *cough yuzu cough*
