It's obviously not as good as home cooked food or restaurant stuff, but it's actually pretty good. Especially compared to store food in other places. (When in Japan, it's a bit awkward to go to restaurants alone, so I pretty much only eat convenience store food :P) Plus, for Yuzu, it's not like he really has much of a choice. Going to restaurants is probably both a risk of getting recognized or too much trouble, as he'd need security. Also, since practices and such are tiring and tend to end late, it's probably just more comfortable and easier to get food in his room and eat there. I'm sure when at home, at least 90% of his food intake is his mother's cooking. Though actually, we kind of know there's someone who cooks for him when at competitions, so he can have Japanese food... but maybe that's just for overseas trips... Hmm... As for trying what he - or other artists/athletes etc. I like - likes, to me, it's like a small way of trying to get to know them better. (Of course, I'm not sure what liking apple juice, for example, says about him as a person, but still :P) From what i've seen, yeah, it isn't that bad. We have convenience stores here that make pretty good food too, so i know it's not really "trash food" but as you say, nothing compared to restaurant or homemade food. And isn;t the cooking for competitions thing a recent thing? After he started paying attention to his diet? Still, i think it's normal among the athletes, since i recall a post about a spanish volunteer in some place i don't remember, at GPF in Barcelona, saying that the japanese athletes often ate cup noodles and stuff like that hahaha. (And Boyang was the one who celebrated eating cup noodles in his room too, right?) Still if he really wanted he could order something to go and have someone pick it up for him and get it delivered to the safety of his room... Hm, in my case i am curious about the kind of flavours he likes. Not because it says something about him as a person but like, what kind of stuff makes him feel happy and warm inside, especially when i consider that he doesn't seem to have much interest in food. You can't classify people in terms of traits and stuff from the flavour of juice they prefer, but you can get an idea of the subtlety of the flavours they like, the upper and lower limit of sweetness, spiciness and salt (LOL) among other things. Like i said, it's a neat fact, you can't get hints about the REAL Yuzu but it's a reminder that he is just another human. (Did i get anywhere with this, idk, i'm sorry) Link to comment

Don't remember what documentary but Daisuke Takahashi was very well taken care of when he went to train/compete overseas. He had people take him shopping at supermarkets as practice and nutritionists advising him and people cooking him meals. The whole thing made me really hungry. Link to comment

(Did i get anywhere with this, idk, i'm sorry) I think I remember stumbling upon a video of someone who had cooked for him for Sochi...? Or in any case it was like "the meal for gold medal" or so... I'll have to search, because my memory is bad >_< We have convenience stores with decent food, too, and I also found good salads in London, but to me, Japanese convenience store food is the best. I guess it's the Japan quality, combined with a lot of people there probably eating mostly just that. But, yes, he could probably order to go... However with how picky he is, he might trust conbini food more than some random restaurant. Like, 7eleven katsudon probably tastes the same regardless of the city (I guess I'll have to test that LOL), but he can't be sure he'd like the taste of the food of some restaurant he's never been to. Or it's just too 'mendoukusai' to search for restaurants, when there's probably a perfectly good conbini on the street corner lol (But it probably also depends on whether he's there for competition or ice shows and so on. He's probably a lot more careful when it's competitions.) And I totally understand what you mean with the flavours. It makes sense, too. I guess I just never thought about it so deeply lol Link to comment

We only know about paprika, but there might be others (I'm still annoyed they didn't ask him "what else do you hate?" :P) Oh and 'food is mendoukusai' appears in this lol And no worries, I love rambly posts lol I tend to ramble, too, though I also try to hold back Link to comment

(I think it's been said before, he just doesn't really care for food... I guess he lives, breathes and eats skating ) Link to comment

Leanna A
Recently, I discovered a very accessible and reasonably priced product that enables me / us to be “very intimately and closely connected” with Yuzu. I have started using “P&G Bold gelball laundry detergent, the pink one” for a week. It is a product that Yuzu has been promoting and he said it is what he and his family use for washing clothes. The clothes are not only cleaned thoroughly, they have an unparalleled strong sweet and pleasant smell. The sweet smell exists even after wearing the clothes for several days. What makes me feel the most magical and moving is…my clothes and house have exactly the same smell as Yuzu’s. I am in good and happy mood every day because of that. I recommend that all satellites must try it. I think it is available in some supermarkets or Japanese products shops in many cities. A bag with 48 pieces is just about 1200 Yen. Link to comment

dreamelena
OMG THAT POOH JUICE BOX!!! WHAT IS ADORABLE.... (sorry OOT Lol) Yuzu would definitely take a liking on that.. Talking about cooking. I imagine Yuzu trying hard cooking something and then he'd carefully measure the timing and all that every time he cooks to make sure it is perfect because timing is everything. Imagine him cooking ramen with the egg and some veggies and he keeps on monitoring it, doesn't matter that if it really is cooked, if it's not the time yet in his mind, he wouldn't turn the stove off, and ended up with an overcooked ramen. (sorry Yuzu I'm just kidding) I've never had convenient store food before.. probably should try that next time I go abroad looking for simple food (obviously I wouldn't do that here in my country). Someone mentioned Ghana chocolate and I just finished my dark chocolate bar and it tastes so good it has the right sweetness and lightness. But then I prefer dark than milk so. Welp this is all about food. Link to comment
bubbletea0712
I've just finished pancake-ing my first uni exam.... By the way, it time for Yuzu now!!! I'm so happy I'm I weird to want to try Yuzu cooking meal?..... Link to comment
