Re: Swimming Probably, the same as his 2A, he seemed to forget how to... But, I'd rather say he just has no confidence in it as he has been devoting his time to his skating for a long-long time. And as sb who's really tough to himself or as a perfectionist, you won't say you can when you mean you can't really do it well enough. Also, as we all know that he's always humble. Say, remember when he said to the press that seeing the others who did Quad Lutz,... it made him realize he could only do "simple"jumps (QT/QS) And...if only he wants to, whatever, I trust that sb like him can do it for sure, can't he? Well, unlike the Netherlands, it's not a must to be able to swim at schools, but kids here do have lessons in their curriculums, for example, once a week for about 2-3 month time before and after summer every year. There are specialists who are there to help those who cannot swim, too. Anyway, that depends. Of course, public/prefectural/municipal schools or private schools are also the point. And even so, still, different schools can have different regulations. After all, parents often have their children learning how to swim at swimming schools apart from the school's programs. Another thing that shouldn't be forgotten, it seems that there is a case study insisting on the fact that in general it may not be easy for some sports players to swim such as Judo, Figure Skating,...One of the reasons is said to be the difference of how you use your muscle or sth like that. Well, everything often has an exception as well, jmo.

Look at these T-shirts https://www.redbubble.com/shop/yuzuru+hanyu+mens-tees?ref=work_taglist Still wonder why JSF/JOC/Sendai or any concern haven't invested on something like this, or any other Yuzu goods, etc The following facts make me feel sure that it's IN DEMAND Magazines/books: Only with him on the covers/even only one page or some more inside and even having nothing to do with Figure Skating at all, most of them were recorded Amazon Japan Ranking No.1 when on release for booking.(Ref:Amazon Japan) Also, somewhere on the Internet showed photos of all magazines/ books with Yuzu on front covers on sale in JPN showed that there were more than 100 each year after 2014. Even last year, it was over 60 despite the fact of his absence from all ice shows due to injuries effected from the 2015-2016 season as well as the absence from 2017 National Championships due to the flu ! CM:Always Ranking No.1 on its 1st appearance(Ref:Net Rankings) TV Audience Rating:Distinguishable ratings comparing with other skaters.(Ref:TV Research on Audience Rankings) Star Power:Despite the fact of Figure Skating being a minor sport in Japan, Yuzu was highly appraised to be in TOP3 even over all those in the entertainment world(Ref:Evaluation Report of Japan Stars===Not sure about the title, but there's been sth like this announced periodically on the Internet and magazines.) Ice Shows: No one denies the fact that only Yuzu can draw a full house ! While shows for other skaters always have tickets left for sale on the day of the performance as shown on the internet. (Ref: each Ice Show's homepage) Yet, in case of Yuzu, it's sort of ticket battles decided by lot. Till now, it's said that there're those who're unlucky in drawing lots and so just couldn't help spending much more money in order to get the tickets from Net Auctions/black market(?!) Charity Auctions: To my knowledge, 2015:A polo shirt with autograph=approx.¥2,000,000; 2016:A pair of Yuzu's skate shoes without blade/with autograph=approx.¥3,000,000; 2017:A T-shirt with autograph=¥93,000<a surprise at a marathon public auction, not known by most fans>(Ref:Yahoo Auction for the first 2 items/ My own post dated 19.5.2017 for the last one) ~~~etc~~~ Don't you think it's kind of a waste of time, manpower ....? Things can be done more to help restore his homeland and needless to say to help make more stars from Sendai by for ex., building a new ice rink for the birthplace of Japan FS which is also the home rink of JPN's only 2 FS Olympic Champions and can be made use of by other winter sports too. Particularly, when I come to think about JSF who announced their deficit financial status early this year Thanks to Yuzu fans all around the world who are so talented in arts and everything that really help ignoring this reality Only a simple thought for today, anyway. Thank you

Something that can brighten your day at a glance, can't it? Well, at least to me, I can feel it About my avatar, it was actually the one belonging to 2015 GPS NHK. It was the moment when he was on the podium with his pure/innocent/humble look which impressed me so much. Thank you.

Agree, indeed. Sorry. I've no idea about it. Thank you for your interest.

Nice that I can make you laugh In fact I added it later when edited. Just posted for an image of the products and as it caught my eyes by its colorfulness as well as numbers packed altogether in one scene. Lovely to have a look at it, isn't it? To me, anything that can make me and if possible, everyone smile or laugh , unless it bothers anyone, it's all welcomed. Thank you. I appreciate how you put it

Guess who's in this picture ? http://blog-imgs-110-origin.fc2.com/b/l/t/bltraveler/20170521111251a66.jpg It was a seminar for foreign students who had the intention of studying in Japan held by the Japanese Embassy to China (No idea which city as not shown here). And this was probably the turn of Waseda University where Yuzu's a student on the register. They introduced him as someone well known and by Chinese people, I suppose. Also, those famous alumni were there. Explanation to Pictures (as shown only) : Right Top. : 7 Japanese former Prime Ministers Below L>>R: 1) Tadashi Yanai, CEO of "UNIQLO" Born 7.2.1949/ The faculty of Politics & Finance Japanese Billionaire Ranking No.1/World Ranking No.41; Property : ¥202,000,000,000 2) Haruki Murakami, a novelist,short- story writer, translator, essayist Born 12.1.1949/The Faculty of Literature One of his notable works, "1Q84" has been translated into more than 50 languages; Several times already has been nominated for Nobel Prize 3) Yuzuru Hanyu, the Legend/Megastar of Figure Skating (Too many details, impossible to fill in this little tiny space. ) ........................................................................................ Re: Thinking about our HERO's r****ment used to give a comment to Media that he's still young, when they said things to him as if he'd already been an old guy. The atmosphere of pushing him to put an end to his competitive career to give way to the younger was there..... They seemed to forget that he became a senior only when he's 15 (the youngest ever for Male Single in JPN, even now), got his 1st WR (out of 11 up to now) at 17, and became the Champions of GPF/Olympics/ World at the same season at 19, 2nd youngest in the World History of FS to win a OLG at 1st appearance. And more, the WR holder of SP/FS/TS(110.95, 223.20, 330.43 in order since 2015 (FS score =2017WFC/his own previous record: 219.48 at 2015GPF), the 1st ever to reach/surpass the scores of 110/220/330(and still hold it, even now), the 1st to execute Quad Loop in official competition, the 1st to win GPF 4 times in a row, the 1st Japanese/ Asian(Male) to win the OLG & twice the WCG, the youngest ever (M/15 yo) to be on the podium(silver) at FFC, etc...with these achievements mean that he's too old to continue his history of skating as an amateur? Where is the relationship between the success and the age ? And, he's still 22 ! It'll be a BIG loss for the figure skating World in many ways, won't it? .................................................................................... So, to back up Yuzu's word that he's still young, the following data are some certain Jr./Sr. competitors' dates of birth for your consideration. (Ref: ISU WS Record) 1987 : S.VORONOV( /3.10) 1988 : A.BYCHENKO( /5.2) 1989 : A.RIPPON( /11.11) ------------------------------------------------------------- 1990 : M.BREZINA( /30.3), S.RABBIT( /8.4), G.HOCHSTEIN( /16.7), K.REYNOLDS ( /23.7), P.CHAN( /31.12), 1991 : D.MURAKAMI( /15.1), T.MURA( /11.2), J.FERNANDEZ( /15.4), J.RAYA( /20.4) 1992 : M.AARON( /25.2), J.HENDRICKX( /18.5), L.FIRUS( /2.7, T.DOLENSKY( /18.7) 1993 : D.TEN( /13.6) 1994 : K.TANAKA( /22.11), Y.HANYU( /7.12), J.BROWN( /15.12) 1995 : R.HINO( /12.2), M.KOLYADA( /18.2), M.KOVTUN( /18.6) 1996 : H.YAN( /6.3), S.NAKAMURA( /7.9), M.MARTINEZ( /4.11), JIN SEO MIM( /29.11) 1997 : J.YEE( /26.5), N.NADEAU( /30.9), B.JIN( / 3.10), S.UNO( /12.17) 1998 : D.SAMOHIN( /12.3), K.TOMONO( /15.5), A.PITKEEV( /16.5), N.NGUYEN( /20.5), A.SAMARIN( /15.6), M.RIZZO( /5.9) 1999 : A.PETROV( /26.4), N.CHEN( /5.5), R.SADOVSKY( /31.5), D.ALIEV( /1.6), D.VASILJEVS( /9.8), R.SAVOSIN( /4.12) ------------------------------------------------------------- 2000 : S.YAMAMOTO( /10.1), T.HIWATASHI ( /20.1), A.KRASNOZHON ( /11.4), V.ZHOU( /25.10) 2001 : M.SUMOTO( /4.2), K.SHIMADA( /11.9), Y.KISHINA( /15.10), JUN HWAN CHA( /21.10) *Remarks: The Bold / Underlined = Top 6 .......................................................................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Jmo, as long as he's healthy, he'll continue ENJOY his skating life for sure. Remember during the end of last season that he said he really enjoyed/was excited to skate with his big smile. Besides, he did say after Sochi in the interview with Oda-San (during 2014FaOI) that it's gonna be a period of Quad Battles soon and it'd be great that the level of the sport would be up. He also added that he loved to have rivals 'cause it could only make him stronger!! Now, that it turns out to be like what he's expected so I don't see the point of his r****ment any more. Btw, the PERSON who named this Quad Battle Boom as "SHIN-Yonkaiten Jidai"(REAL Quad Period) was HIM and then Media've continued using it on and on since then. (Ref: "SHIN" in Japanese has a lot of meanings depending on which Kanji (Chinese Character) being used. In this case, instead of the meaning of "NEW"as expected, he indicated his "SHIN" as "THE REAL THING". (As a suggestion, please make sure to check up with what he put in words in the past, you may find how incredible he was to be so thoughtful, smart and even be capable of foresee things in the future ! ) One more thing, he'd already said long ago that he wanted to execute all kinds of jumps including Quad Excel before his farewell to his beloved sport but that had nothing to do with the competitions. And then,at his latest interview with Asahi TV's "Sunday Station"(23.4.2017), he said that he felt like he could execute QE after looking at the data researched to comparing TE with QE which showed that in order to jump QE, he needed 17cms more of the height and so, 10% more of the speed of an approach run to the QE was a must. Besides, didn't he also claim that jumping's something to do with SENSE, not AGE ? I guess he meant most for the quality, though. Finally, last Aug, didn't he comment that he realized more than ever before how much he loved skating after those days of patience owing to injuries ? (Not to refer to twice in his life that he lost his home rink which surely made him to be more alert to his PURE love of skating.) Doesn't anyone think if he had no problem with his rink and even more if he had a fully-equipped/like-others one, how many more records he'd have made ? After all, let's leave it to him to decide whatever, it's his one and only life Thank you
