  1. Sorry if this has already been posted. Mocha has kindly added English sub titles to the Ogen san's subusku do programme, the section where Yuzu describes his feelings of loneliness and inner darkness A thousand thanks to Mocha
  2. Javi talked about losing out during a comp for Zayak in his documentary. Correct a jump was invalidated and Javi lost all the marks for the jump even though his performance was otherwise excellent. Yuzu made his Zayak error during a competition earlier on in his career. He was of course really disappointed and then went on to think about how he had not been prepared, due to inexperience, and how he would make up for a 'missed' jump, should this ever happen again. Yuzu was wise to be prepared and Nanami sensei had helped him to make plans to cover these kinds of eventualities in future. There are some jobs which have a fall back mnemonic, known as the five P's Poor preparation leads to p*** poor performance. A simple but effective message delivered by trainers to trainees
  3. Yuzu spoke about this whilst showing some of his notebooks, calculating potential scores for the various programmes. He also mentioned in an interview about how he had once missed a jump or jump combo as a youngster and then repeated the jump which caused loss of marks due to the Zayak ruling. Yuzu vowed never to make the same mistake again. He and Nanami sensei tried to come up with a strategy in order to avoid this is future. During H and L Yuzu said that he had to make rapid calculations in his head about what jump to put into the programme in order to bring his score back up whilst avoiding a Zayak, Yuzu faltered on a jump and could not complete one of his combos. No doubt going over potential possibilities using his notes and an app would help to ensure that the mistake was not repeated. Inevitably humans make errors, failing to learn from a mistake is a wasted opportunity. Yuzu is intelligent to recognise this and create a tool for the purposes of both his own records and for learning Interestingly Javi also spoke of having lost marks during a comp for a Zayak, probable that many skaters have also done this edit typos, the letter d seems to be causing me some problems today!
  4. Captures an air of mystery. The fox is often a mysterious figure in fairy tales all across the world
  5. hehehe. You are correct. Yes of course, there are TV programmes other than those featuring Yuzu !!! Came across a phrase in one of my Japanese learning modules, about someone's work in physics ushering a new era of study. I actually thought about Dr Sheldon Cooper and other characters from the Big Bang Theory show, including the cameo appearances by the late Professor Stephen Hawking Today it has been announced that real physicists at Fermilab may have discovered a new force in Physics affecting sub atomic particles called muons So maybe I will need the phrase which I have just learned after all, in order to be able to drop it into conversation just in case I ever meet someone who speaks Japanese and who also has an interest in Physics
  6. You are correct it is different name, it is P Vi @2Puffins on tXt and there's a teeny picture with me wearing the Diadem of Ravenclaw, from Harry Potter !! Grazie mille
  7. You may wish to write a follow up article when the mood takes you or you feel able to express more. That would be great I replied to you on twt/ X / tXt yesterday and understand the sentiments very much. Like you it does feel as if fans are only able to 'borrow' Yuzu for a short time, when he chooses to appear or give fans a snippet of news. Yuzu has every right to privacy and the little that is shown for public view, is given as a precious gift. None of us fans have any right to place obligations on Yuzu to share his whole world with us, same for his loved ones. Apologies to anyone who feels differently. Naturally, everyone is entitled to their own views on the matter
  8. Sarah has also provided an English translation for the Ogen san programme trailer A thousand thank thanks to Sarah This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  9. Thanks for the info Thank you for the link. It is an excellent piece
  10. Both from Sendai as well ? and yes the 1994 birth year
  11. Teaser trailer with English subs courtesy of Mocha A thousand thanks to Mocha It has been pointed out that there is clever word play with the word - kaiten, towards the end Yuzu performs a little twirl Two different words with different kanji and meanings but which are homophones, one means to start or open, like a shop opens (actually the second part of that kanji looks like mise, a store) and the other is rotation This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
