  1. Hmm. Compilation of interview snippets from this year and as always lovely to see Yuzu, with English subtitles a big bonus for many fans. Forgive my cynicism, it does rather seem that someone is trying to maintain relevance for themselves, by hitching their wagon to someone else's star, so to speak. This is ironic because didn't Mr Ito stated that Japan should not rely on one star and should instead be building a legacy of many top level skaters, or words to that effect. It is galling to think that during Yuzu's competitive career some people in the skating community tried continuously to down play the astonishing contributions made by Yuzu. Perhaps people realise now, how much Yuzu gave, how much publicity, interest and funding Yuzu generated to help the various organisations. These people, they did not choose wisely. However, JOC were supportive to Yuzu in the past, perhaps they want to celebrate Yuzu's legacy
  2. Those Neko Zuzu dollies are adorable. If the artist starts up a business and sells them and the clothing range to fit them, I will be queueing to buy one and the wardrobe of little costume garments
  3. Maybe that will be our next viewing of Pro Athlete Yuzu - on a catwalk. Tokyo fashion week has just finished, Yuzu could have really lit up the runway London fashion week is 18-22 Sept, so not too late for a UK appearance Neko on a Catwalk
  4. The Dolly Yuzu is wearing the Coming of Age Hakama. Some interesting detail about the fabric: The striped fabric featured in the Yuzu outfit is from Sendai. The fabric is made using a traditional method and this handcrafted fabric and the technique employed to create it has special heritage status in Japan. The Sendai silk was so highly prized that the fabric was used for making garments in the Imperial court and for other mebers of high ranking noble families. The Sendai manufacturer gifted the fabric to Yuzu, in order that his outfit for receiving the People's Honour Award was in keeping with the occasion. Very fitting for the Ice Emperor.
  5. Yuzu and the memory of his 9 year old self, can we spy a tiny Haru chan next to the name plate?
  6. It is the right time for Sakura in the Southern Hemisphere
  7. Good to see that 4S is happy. The ice hole incident was not his fault ( Although he has been naughty at competitions before and sometimes misbehaved when the Emperor needed him )
  8. Pooh has swapped the bumble bee outfit and is now wearing the same Yuzu hakama that was worn when Yuzu received the people's honour award. He looks very dignified
  9. Thank you, Grazie bene
  10. BabyPooh is enjoying life. Have a joyful and relaxing Sunday

  14. Oh very fine needlework on the little lamb costumes. Gorgeous
  15. I am in love with this little Pooh family and the play accessories
  16. Pooh is adorned with rabbit ears and wearing the Seimei training jacket
  17. Dolly Yuzu is wearing the cable knit sweater from the Lotte Ghana hot chocolate advertisement campaign
  18. Pooh san sporting a Phiten feather necklace
  19. This lovely Pooh family posing for a photo all together. They live in a miniature Disney Main Street, how delightful.
  20. It is great news to hear that the Yuzu achieved his ideal performance of Roncapu in one take. Just like a competitive performance. Yuzu proves once again that he is The Maestro when it comes to skating. That puts paid to the fallacious comments, that it took 2hours to achieve the performance that was aired on 24h TV.
  21. All the drama, who is the man behind the mask?
  22. Warning: This is a joke thread, but it is cute and will make you smile. There were some tweets about Yuzu attending Beijing with 6 suitcases. Apparently, Yuzu's comfort needs included a fridge, mini oven/ microwave and a humidifier. Question though, were these for Yuzu or for Yuzu - Pooh? The latter, who had to remain in the hotel room. Only the knitted 'pineapple pretend Pooh stand in' was allowed by the boards
  23. Nooooo Yuzu. Don't cry. Now, to be the gentle waves that wash away your tears instead.
  24. The arrow of time moves ever forward, the past cannot be changed, no matter how much we wish we could have lessened the hurt inflicted on Yuzu. The interviews are revealing for more than just Yuzu's articulations about his experiences. Yuzu could have walked away at any time. For many reasons, Yuzu chose to stay on, in the competition arena and again, for whatever reasons best known only to himself, did not make his feelings known, until after he had decided to follow a different path. Satellites, together we have a chance to make something positive in the present and future. Firstly, a very simple project that everyone can join. Please, put your thoughts into words, and turn your words into a lovely composition for Yuzu. @Anabel and I are eagerly waiting to receive all of the lovely support messages that are posted on the Planet, made into one page tributes for the photo book. There is both a poetry and fanart thread on the Planet if people are looking for inspiration. A message from the heart carries a great deal of meaning, don't be bashful, send your wonderful kind and affirming thoughts to Yuzu. Secondly, many people state that Yuzu is bigger than figure skating. In the future we can definitely get behind this. By ensuring that each and every venue where Yuzu performs is sold out, paying for streamed performances, buying publications filled with Yuzu content, buying products where Yuzu features in the advertising campaign, ( maybe not the face cream in the pot of gold ). These actions will send a message that it is most definitely Yuzu, that fans are supporting and not the sport of figure skating itself. We can demonstrate that we are more discerning than a 'bunch of ignorant, fickle fans' who will turn to the 'next big thing' that is touted in front of us, because the arrogant powers that be, think that we are impressionable and easily manipulated. Satellites we can do this.
