If there are enough Yuzu shows and tours, perhaps there will be enough tickets to see him. Perhaps, maybe, hoping that because Yuzu understands that there are fans outside of Japan, there can be tickets for ice shows sold as holiday packages. Seriously, one of the best ways to boost the economy in Tohoku would be for Yuzu to have an ice arena for shows with a hotel and leisure complex attached. The financial injection from shows, tourism, merchandising, publications would give people jobs and people would visit from all over the world to skate there, see a show, join a skating masterclass and generally spend their money in the region that Yuzu loves the most. Just cancelled the hotel reservations which I'd made for the comps. My Darling Hubby had paid for the Torino hotel ( nice one as well ) as a birthday present. Seems really final now saying goodbye to competitor Yuzu Logically for Yuzu it is a happy announcement about going to do fantastic projects, which I hope we will all have the opportunity to enjoy alongside him with a great deal of delight and less of the worry. Still it is the closing of a chapter on an illustrious career and I'm irrationally choked up about that. Looking forward to Yuzu's new endeavours and new adventures. As the great man said himself "Why am I crying?"

All of the income from Yuzu shows will all go to Yuzu and his production company. He will not have to give JSF any commission, Yuzu will be able to plough all of the earnings back into his own projects

Now that Yuzu has announced his professional career, JSF will no longer be able to forward letters and gifts sent to JSF for Yuzu Satellites, we will need to investigate how to send support messages etc to Yuzu, unless he is finally going to have some kind of management company that will do this for him. In the past I was using the forwarding service provided by JSF, as this is available for active competitive skaters, although I have no idea how effective this service was for actually delivering said gift boxes

The relevant governing bodies have effectively masterminded their own downfalls. There is a phrase, "Don't bite the hand that feeds you" if only the powers that be had heeded these words

Fly Yuzuru and be really fulfilled and happy I cannot quite believe but whilst I am sad that I won't see him in comp and I'm sad that he finished skating in comps with Beijing and no Pooh rain and hardly any fans to give standing ovations. The 4A cannot be ratified outside of ISU competition which is a shame It has been a privilege to watch Yuzu skate and a delight to follow his amateur career. Truly hoping for ice shows that can be accessed for non Japanese residents At least ISU will be missing the income stream.
