Wow. I think the post may have been misinterpreted. Why would I, a Yuzu fan like everyone else on here, post something that would intentionally demean Yuzu? It was merely posted because it appears Ilia is also a Yuzu fan (like us). I really dont have much interest in this youngster at all. Please remove if offensive, but it was shared in a humorous light.

Just saw this link and Instagram posting of Ilia and it made me smile: Amongst other things.... He said his favorite Japanese skaters are Hanyu and Kagiyama! A fan mailed him a box of Yuzuru Hanyu merch and he showed a poster! I also noticed that....probably the pressure has been overwhelming for him. He has to manage so many people's personalities, the media and deal with multiple difficulties. Everyone's expectations post Olympics etc...even for an ice-show, where he felt pressured to produce something memorable and prove that he is OK health-wise would make him stressed. Yes, he looks happy in places but he is a born actor and artist, so he knows he has to act happy and fun, even if he is breaking inside, poor soul.

I am posting here because the Faoi in Makuhari dates are over, but please move if inappropriate: Is there anyone who was in the audience on Days 1 or 2 that got a good quality (full) recording of Real Face? Would love to see how it was done on those days.

At the risk of getting blasted for saying this.....Real Face is not my favorite Faoi performance. I realize Yuzu was trying to do something a bit more " risky" and incorporate dance moves, but I feel when he tried to throw too many dance moves in, it detracts from his beautiful skating. Too much time is spent on dance moves and it didn't seem to flow like his other programs have. And Yuzu doesn't have to be overtly seductive because he is naturally like that without having to "add" too much to his performances. I did enjoy the creative aspects of the new choreo but I am hoping this is a once -off routine and he will revert back to more of his classic skating style.

And the organizers would make a huge amount actually live broadcasting/streaming for a fee on the FIRST night, when people are even more curious. (before the media release anything!)

Does anyone else feel a little Yuzu-deprived from the opening number in terms of camera time? The cameraman knows the whole world is watching JUST TO SEE YUZU, but we really did not see much of him

Many thanks for the translation. Maybe it is just my interpretation or I am reading too much into this, but if Yuzu is using these words to communicate something to his audience, I feel quite a bit of anger coming out of those words. I also think he may be saying that he is not prepared to skate by anyone else's terms anymore (no competitions?) and only skate for himself without pressure? I have no idea of what he intended to communicate with regards to the line about "I had an unbelieveable lie all ready. The world just can’t change…" Makes me a bit sad... Based on what we have seen of his skating in this show, he is skating/looking better than EVER. Would be a waste NOT to continue to compete.

@Perelandra Thank you so much for your response and interesting view of medical training. In the USA it is also very lengthy but if someone wants to stay a GP, I think the track is slightly shorter. In reference to the quoted section above, even if the USA promotes Ilia M, Japan will not stop promoting Yuzu any time soon, as long as he either competes and or does shows. On the world stage, it would be irrelevant if the US promoted whoever they wanted, as the international judges will not necessarily agree with this promotion...am I misunderstanding this? -
I saw this Youtube video about Nathan Chen taking a few years off from competitive skating. Do you think this would affect Yuzu's plans in any way, for example : maybe Yuzu would work towards competing in the next Olympics still?
