  1. So there is a new press release, but assignments not announced? Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the deteriorating Covid-19 sanitary situation in China, the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Rostelecom Cup (RUS) and the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Cup of China cannot be held as planned. Replacement solutions are to be found with the support of ISU Members. The Chinese Skating Association (CSA) informed the ISU that it was no longer feasible for them to hold the annual ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating event (the Cup of China) in 2022. The status of the fourth Grand Prix event of the season 2022/23, which will take place on November 11-13, 2022, is currently pending and a host country will be announced soon. The ISU continues to reiterate its solidarity with all those affected by the conflict in Ukraine. Following the IOC recommendation and in order to protect the integrity of ice skating competitions and for the safety of all the participants of international ice skating competitions, the ISU Council based on Article 17.1.q)i) of the ISU Constitution, agreed that with immediate effect and until further notice, no Skaters belonging to the ISU Members in Russia (Russian Skating Union and the Figure Skating Federation of Russia) and Belarus (Skating Union of Belarus) shall be invited or allowed to participate in International ice skating competitions including ISU Championships and other ISU Events. The same applies to Officials listed in the respective ISU Communications and/or Regulations under Russia and Belarus (see ISU Statement on the Ukrainian crisis here). As a result, the ISU Council has decided that the sixth ISU Grand Prix event shall be held in Espoo (FIN) on November 25-27, 2022. The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series will stop in six cities and countries, and culminate at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final where only the six best Skaters in each category will compete: ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating – Skate America: October 21-23, 2022 – Norwood, MA (USA) ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating – Skate Canada International: 28-30, 2022 – Mississauga, ON (CAN) ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating – Internationaux de France: November 4-6, 2022 – Angers (FRA) ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating : November 11-13, 2022 – TBC ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating – NHK Trophy : November 18-20, 2022 – Sapporo (JPN) ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating: November 25-27, 2022 – Espoo (FIN) ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final (Junior & Senior): December 8-11, 2022 – Torino (ITA) For further information regarding the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series please visit the corresponding webpage. 2. Still nothing. Hersh said the other day it would be 15 July. Yesterday people were mentioning today at noon.
  3. Best thread on tw today and perhaps recently, in general. Just about how charismatic and magnetic Yuzuru is and his effect on people. Pure positivity and celebration of this man that also brings so many together.
  4. I agree. Also, I recommend watching short videos - the place is so peaceful, the whole landscape is beautiful, birds are singing. You can see their hard work, patience and pure love.
  5. Another bet on NHK & SC, if he skips NHK, then Sheffield more likely due to Espoo being too close to GPF.
  6. Thank you, @YuDai also confirmed.
  7. I hope they will get it more together announcing the assignments.
  8. Saw the website with the locations withdrawn, meanwhile booked a hotel in Espoo
  9. Do you know the arena the event will take place in?
  10. I still hope Yuzuru will do GP series - Europe's privileged this time, maybe we will have the change to even see him twice? I think out of these two locations, he'd choose Finland. It's less crowded, more disciplined, he was there before and maybe has some good memories.
  11. True, I should have written: we had not seen (before) Day 2, so it was the 1st time viewing, so super exciting and I missed that. Great!
  12. Same for me, but I have this feeling of loosing something - we haven't seen Day 2 yet, so it's reminiscent of the whole glorious FaOI month, discovering new things compared to previous versions, surprises (today - the encore but with some new angles) and the whole aftermath of digesting, processing. Thank you Everyone for posting all the links.
  13. Keeping his family and people in Japan in my thoughts.
  14. @ImmortalBelovedit looks great, congrats! This has been addressed:
  15. No worries, it was exactly the same.
  16. We will continue this with @Wintek who proposed to take this further (thank you!) and start a small campaign perhaps to first test it and to have it ready whenever there is a need to relaunch a virtual pooh rain for Yuzu, so stay tuned!
  17. A very quick automatic translation: Yuzuru Hanyu "I will do my best to aim for higher this season" Skating Federation reinforcement player page updated [ July 1, 2022, 5:47 PM ] On the first day of the new season, the Japan Skating Federation updated the page of figure strengthening players on the official website. Yuzuru Hanyu (ANA), a male who has been designated as a special reinforcement player since last season and won the Pyeongchang Olympics in 18 years in a row, said, "Thank you very much for your support. I will do my best to get higher this season," he commented. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  18. But if there is no change and he's competing, why would they change it? They wouldn't add information: "we're not updating the other sections cause there is no need to, cause Yuzuru Hanyu is competing for the next season".
  19. Marika says the website was updated today.
  20. Yeah, it looks like Yuzuru is staying. He's competing, we're going to see him. It's happening. OMG, where's my sanity. EDIT: for various reasons - this is absolutely the best moment this becomes official. A very special late morning here.
  21. The site is back, Yuzu still there.
  22. Fanyu power. They better not mess with Yuzu (and us).
