I was so busy thinking about Zu bday project that Prologue sneaked on me all of a sudden...how is it already on? Waiting for updates, I hope he's having fun first and foremost (and healthy!) I love this interview and his attitude is..deep. In a way disenchanted, not the 9yo fearless boy who dreamed big and boldly, but he is still one who will keep dreaming, even knowing sometimes things just don't go your way. "I just want all my choices to have meaning" if I think of his choices as I've been following him these past years -competing in COR18 on freshly sprained ankle, insisting on 4A even in spite of everything, making his skating more complex while ISU rewarded the opposite...all choices that from the outside may have not looked "sensible", heck, he has got so much criticism over it, as if he were some clueless dude unable to think about his own good...but he was thinking about his own good, just it wasn't the kind of "good" that aligned with other people's idea. Every single time, he has been choosing what he wanted to pursue and dealing with the outcome, with his eyes and heart wide open. Of course I wish he only ever had everything going his way, because genuinely good people deserve good things, but reality can be a bitch, and I guess what matters is how to deal with it, not letting bitterness and heartbreak paralyze you

Usually Brian got the more "formal" handshake, Ghislain kind of a bro handshake/half hug (LOL) and to Tracy the elegant proper bow they really picked 4pics that showed his different sides...Seimei Yuzu looks almost scary, so intense he is, such a contrast to fluffy boy next door just chilling in a park fluffy boy chilling reminds me of that sekkisei CM and Yuzu in oversized clothes being a sunshine (sorry for the butchered quality, I must have reuploaded too many times XD) I wish I had been a fan then, must have felt crazy and delirious and magical! two weeks that marked skating history I can't think of other similar "records" in the past few years (as in, breaking score records) that felt that much historical, in FS circles too (tho was also the start of ISU running to take control back) There have been many broken records, but not many feeling as if sport was entering a new era (I guess maybe women's FS records with quads? becase other increases happenend a lot more gradually. And 100, 200 300 threshold always had a certain special "flavour") I love those costumes too Especially Etude, one of the most gorgeous FS costumes in the history of FS costumes across disciplines. Beautiful both still and in motion, marvellous color palette, and incredibly suited to both the program and to Yuzu. Blu Flame! ETA: I just made the most appalling discovery, which is that I actually NEVER giffed that costume One of my most favest costumes evere the only gif I have is just cuz I wanted to show his first ever counter3A in comp for the Glossary wiki (source of the fancam this is taken from is in the Glossary wiki!) I'm not following the season closely because toxicISU and me parted ways, but it moves me a bit to see that in Men's final there will be 3 Jpn skaters (+Daniel, I guess) who were deeply inspired by Yuzuru as kids (and not only as kids. Who was recently who said was studying sharepractice warmup? Shun iirc? 😆) like obviously it's not about searching an "heir" to Yuzu or his skating, that won't happen and would be a great underestimation of just how unique Yuzu is both as an athlete and as a person (plus, each skater should pursue their own skating)... but it's a powerful reminder of how he inspired generations of skaters

The new Prologue vids are such a lovely surprise, and I think Yuzu must have strong wanted to make his skating more accessibile, because getting this kind of official vids for free (talking about vids legally shared of course) is definitely not the norm for Jpn iceshows🥺🥺🥺 First we got the FaOI op/ed, which were already a novelty compared to previous years, then whole Yuzu channel, now Prologue vids 🥰🥰🥰 (And, talking in general about things I saw in other places: sending a fluffy yuzupooh hug your way Thank you so much for sharing so many precious memories (and also for your thoughtfulness in doing so🤗)

Watching FF "cool down"... even if any size, you can still see how well matched to music all him movements are... Anyway the light mapping here really blew Beijing gala out of the water...well, of course must have been harder to have effects for so many skaters in so little time, and also possible the budget allocated was different... but Prologue is such a feast for the eyes and the heart😍 said that his committment and dedication shines through everything in this show, and you can really see it. Everything, to the smallest detail, done so seamlessly and with so much care🥺 I live producer Yuzu as much as athlete Yuzu and performed Yuzu
