  1. The folks who are handling all these bids are ridiculous I think they should not be allowed to do it again.
  2. Who will take this bid seriously when they change the numbers all the time though? I mean even if I were a millionaire, I have like 100 mil USD, I would not give money to this bid. Cause they do not seem to be real.
  3. It is back to 5 mil now. I think it is pretty much reasonable. I hope those who sent fake bids will be caught. It is not fun. Even if they dislike him or want to make fun of people it is still too much. This is charity not some joke.
  4. Back down to 6 mil now. I think the organizers should do something really strict with all of this. It is for charity, not a joke.
  5. I don't know what to feel about this. I hope this is serious and not some malicious joke.
  6. Someone, please tell the bidders it's only one pair of old boots, not Yuzuru himself. He's not going to go with the boots.
  7. Am I the only one who’s scared for the auction? It’s 59 millions is this a joke?
  8. Oh yes that's him. to be honest I am not a fan of his partner... no wonder. Thanks.
  9. Anyone know the name of the skater hugging Yuzuru in this video: I know him but somehow I could not remember his name. Thanks.
  10. I think the new rules are made so judges will be able to reward skaters with beautiful upper body movements, punish mistakes more more harshly, balance the structure of the program and give less bonus on gaming the system. I get the general ideas. But how will they apply these will be an issue.
  11. Also if you look at they’re trying to reward more 2 foot skating with upper body movements, it’s like a tool to score skating who have less packed transitions but good posture and hands as good as the Russian girls who have packed transitions. We might see Osmond same PCS as Medvedeva.
  12. Yes I know but that’s how the judges have been doing honestly. They consider upper body movements as transitions too. I remember someone on Twitter even said “Look at Daisuke Takahashi shaking his head and closing his eyes during skating, that’s really difficult.” Lol I have no comment.
  13. Lol no they’re looking for Carolina’s quality of arm movements not flappy bird moves lol.
  14. Yes the thread did mention ugly arms over head will get deduction. I am sure they won’t use “ugly” in the final version but some different wording.
  15. Let’s think it this way... we should feel pity towards those people who are spreading lies about Yuzuru because their lives must be so sad.
  16. I am sure they edited it because a real quad Sal is taller and shorter than that.
  17. Next season they will upgrade it to plastic trophy.
  18. Oh this is so interesting, she speeded up in the second half, like really speeding up,
  19. Looks more like SA and NHK... and are we sure he will do GP again?
  20. Anyone remember how much Yuzuru has sacrificed for both his Olympic Golds? How many hardships, adversities, injuries he has gone through? I am not a big fan of Eteri but she does not say anything wrong about Alina and Zhenia if they want to go to Olympic 2022, they will have to give up a lot... like A LOT just to get there. And we are not even sure they will get there as there are so many good junior girls coming up.
  21. I find it funny that tech specialist at the Olympics forgave and ignored many issues. While in the summer that ISU specialist specifically told me there’re this issue with this or that skater. Like they all know but they chose to ignore because the system will be revamped after Olympics ends soon so they’re like “why bother”. oh and about Yuzuru, I have said this in other place, all the favourites in other disciplines like Pair, Ladies and Ice dance got quite a number of World Records but Yuzuru didn’t get one for his Short program, it’s so clear to me he was respected by the judges but they wrote him off and maybe secretly has chose someone else for the new World records but it didn’t happen.
  22. Not all Asians consider seniority like the Japanese. Seniority in my country has to do with status. For example my father was the youngest in his family but he was the only son of my grandfather’s first wife (year those days it’s normal for polygamy), so my father was technically the head of the family. My uncles and aunts were all older than my father but their words were not weighed as much as my father. Thus, it’s to be expected for my father and in turn me to be respected in the big family. It’s awkward to see people who are older than me like 10-20 years show respect to me just because of my rank though. In the work place, people tend to respect older senior as well. But it’s kinda less than in Japan I think. The hierarchy system in Japan is more strict IMO. But as I have worked with Japanese athletes before I don’t see any issues with that and thus I am puzzled when people read too much into Yuzuru’s caring attitude towards younger skaters in team Japan.
  23. I don’t even understand what you’re trying to say. It’s like a bit you’re reading too much into my words. In short, what I am saying is, acting as a caring senior is pretty much normal and to be expected for Japanese in the hierarchy system. Yuzuru did well with the duty and frankly he is very good at that. Yuzuru loves caring for children, for younger skaters... he loves small, tiny, chubby things... he will be a good coach. It’s simple as that Yuzuru for sure does not want to be treated like a semi-god who are so far above the rest of his teammates. Yuzuru surely doesn’t want everyone in the team acts so respectful towards him, thus dare not speak anything to him at all like they acted towards Mao. It’s not just with team Japan, if you see Yuzuru’s reaction to other international skaters like Misha, Boyang... for example. Yuzuru is playful at heart and he loves having funs with fellow skaters. Yuzuru has been friendly to most Japanese teammates ever since he was young, hugging Daisuke (that old video was cute, Yuzuru was like a puppy towards the seniors), making jokes with Machida, making Mao and Akiko laugh etc... Now it’s his turn to act like a senior, not a “younger brother” to the whole team Japan like before since he is the senior now. He embraces that senior role very well and naturally with grace. But the senior acting in charge is not something abnormal. It’s pretty to be expected in their culture. He is just extra good at that.
  24. Yeap. One ISU tech specialist told me Shoma’s weakness in the camel in the summer. But... tech panel as we know... often sleep during some skater’s performance.
