  1. Everyone wants to read Ghislain's interview: Thankful to all the fan translators who have been sharing his words with us. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  2. I think this part of Ghislain's interview hasn't been shared yet: This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  3. Message from Ghislain to Yuzu. OP didn't provide source so unsure of its authenticity or where it's from, although context suggests it's from the same article as the interview. Edit to add: per @Geo1, "This is from the same Figure Skating Life magazine article. It is not a message from Ghislain to Yuzu. It is simply his honest assessment, opinion and feelings about Yuzu." This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  4. I don't know that anyone has consciously thought this out, but the distaste may be magnified even more because many fans believe one of the reasons JSF doesn't support Yuzu is because he's from Sendai. So to see a skater whom JSF does support imitate something that Yuzu feels deeply about that is also inextricably linked with why his fed has been so unsupportive feels especially tasteless and possibly hypocritical and manipulative.
  5. Both Yuzu and Ghislain have reportedly said the 4A during the FS in Beijing was the best he's done, so I doubt the ones in the practice videos were both fully rotated and landed on one foot. Maybe more like the ones from JNats practice when he was concentrating on his axis, that weren't fully rotated but he didn't fall? We'll never know for sure unless the videos are released. 6. I guess this temple also thought Yuzu's words were deep and worthy of reflection. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  7. He really did stick to his vision of figure skating. "...I want to be able to make the music my own, to play the music myself, rather than (skate) to the music." This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  8. Hanyueconomy This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  9. I hope skating this in practice brought him some hope and reminded him of his legacy. Watching it did for me. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  10. Not sure if this qualifies as fan art but it's adorable and I think we can all agree with the sentiment.
  11. From one king to another. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  12. Thank you for sharing your artwork with us. This is so striking.
  13. That interview was simultaneously excruciating and inspiring to watch. The depth of his thoughts and feelings, his honesty with himself, his bravery in sharing his struggles, his continual desire to give and give back to others.... I am now even more grateful to the volunteers and others at Beijing, especially those who cheered on his post-FS practices, who showed him that regardless of medals, he and his skating touch people's hearts.
  14. Many thanks to the AWW team for all their translations. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  15. The tiny wave This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  16. Perhaps you might add a link to your YT list of videos nearing 1 mio here as well, to make it easier to find?
  17. I think this hasn't been shared yet: "He is particular, as he put single movement to even the slightest part" This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  18. Agreed; however, even though Requiem Boston is hauntingly beautiful I for one find it emotionally difficult to watch, so I can see why people might not watch it over and over again. Especially since many of us turn to Yuzu's programs when we need comfort.
  19. If anyone is looking for something to brighten your day, the replys and QRTs are great fun to look through:
  20. You'd think a Sendai based publisher would have a better sense of the demand, but maybe any quantity, no matter how large, would have sold out in days. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  21. Yuzu's commitment to this 9 year old self's dream
  22. I think Yuzu's off-the-charts interpretation and timing contribute to the respect of the musicians who have worked directly with him. Yuzu's attention to every note and his commitment to expressing them in his movement is partly why musicians who have collaborated with him sometimes say they felt like they were talking with another musician.
  23. When you paste a link, you might try deleting the & and everything that comes after it, so the link ends with "s=20", then hit return. Sometimes I have to do that to make the automatic embedding work.
  24. Another one Edit: Per @/axelsandwich on Twitter, translation of the Japanese text on this one: 'To support you means to pursue a dream together.'
