I need the artist to tell me that the bee was just stunned and it eventually made a full recovery :tumblr_inline_n2pjd2atId1qdlkyg:

I'm sure Zuzu helped the bee recover :bee-smiley:

Eta: if I get the translation right, earthjet only works against flies and mosquitoes so the bee is only a little bit hurt.

  2. I had missed it before, but Sarah Abitbol, who had denounced Gilles Beyer as her aggressor, was interviewed by the French press following the report of the 20 suspected coaches. In short, while she doesn't blame N. Péchalat in particular, she finds the reaction from the fed insufficient. She mentions that the roller blade federation, in comparison, made a public apology to the victims at least which was important even if only symbolic. The police investigation is ongoing and several victims have come forward to her knowledge but she fears that the limitation period will allow some of the culprits to get away with it.

This is based on this short article from l'Obs, but I have seen other articles in the press with similar content.

Sighting of Yuzu peeking out from his cave! :peek:

My theory is that he has multiple hideouts around the world that have the same generic white walls to throw us off his track. :pouty:

Yep, I found his secret cave :D

You might recognize the influence from this Yuzumoji: :peekapooh:

Does this mean they don't want a quarantine at all, or that they want adapted safety measures allowing them to practice?

You are right, if rules are not clear and efficient, some will feel forced to play, with stress — and stress makes it all more dangerous.

From this tweet it sounds like they want to be exempt from quarantine. Which is ridiculous because (aside from the very obvious risk for public health that the us open is going to be), these rules are government decisions, the USTA has no power there so what do they expect the organizers to do? They just sound entitled. Granted, the ATP/WTA aren't exactly exemplary either.

  5. Meanwhile, in the tennis world, many players apparently continue to display a complete lack of common sense. Need we remind them that several players contracted covid this summer already? Very disappointed by their entitlement.

This is a sharp contrast with Rafael Nadal (current champion) and Ashleigh Barty (world #1) who both decided not to come. Several other players withdrew.

I hate that money and ranking issues may push players who would otherwise withdraw to play. Especially the lower-ranked ones. The decision is coerced in many ways.

French coaching issue has made it into the Times.  Can’t seem to link it unfortunately , but it says the report will be passed to prosecutors and is likely to lead to criminal investigations.  It also quotes the report as denouncing the ‘ concentration of power’ among ‘very few’ FFIS executives who allowed abuse and violence to develop and whose ‘way of functioning could only .......favour a culture of secrecy .....(which) led to the absence of disciplinary action’.

This one? (There is pay wall)

  7. Let's be honest: the driver is money and tv rights, not some noble sport goals. Not even the Olympics can justify keeping SkAm in Vegas, one of the worst hub for Covid contamination at the moment. Especially if they plan to have an audience (still no word on that, who knows how it will be in 3 months). It should be criminal at this point. Olympics? Worlds? A fat lot of good that will do to those whose lives will be impacted (and who aren't necessarily the skaters themselves). I'd say there are over 150K+ reasons why this is a terrible decision.
