On the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the Planet, I oddly just received an email from Golden Skate asking me to vote on something to do with "reading the Nationals" threads. I haven't even clicked on them in years, so it seems very odd....

She is not suggesting Yuzu's methods or mentioning him at all - just pointing out the ongoing issue with the scoring insanity. And Yuzu is being left out of the conversation purposely so as to not make the situation worse for him. If he was being referenced, that owuld be different. But this is about fair scoring for all. He's not the only one to not get a gold because of biased judges. Yuzu has nothing to apologize for. The ISU does.

Thank you for taking this on. And it isn't just the fact that FS will change for the worse, because it's already doing that, but it's thatFS is going to lose fans. Lots of them. If they truly realized that their continued bad scoring and allowing some Feds to rule all is going to cut deeply into their bottom line, maybe then they'd do something. They seem very motivated by profit and money - yet do not seem to grasp just what a negative impact losing Yuzu is going to have on that bottom line. How many people pay those big ticket prices because they can see Yuzu skate? I know I am unlikely to spend a lot on competitions if I can't see him. Yes, there are and will be some skaters I will want to see, but if scoring isn't fixed, I may be too annoyed to support them.

Also the Olympic Committee, please.

Nobody has a 7 page thesis. I've seen abstracts that are multiple pages long - and this even has stuff like what computer be used, etc.. But I am looking forward to the English translation of this, what I am going to guess, is a summary. Maybe with his abstract and conclusions.

Yuzu in his all black (and sometimes with red or blue down the side) practice gear is my favorite look on him - though the white polo/black pants from SOI is competition. When he's practicing and in warm ups, you can see all the lines and all the movements and all the muscles. It's simple. Not distracting in any way, other than the practice gear contains Yuzu. My favorite look.

It would be interesting to know what methods we, as sincerely outraged fans of both Yuzuru and figure skating, could employ to influence the ISU. They do not seem to be interested in public opinion, yet they, ultimately, must be, in order to survive as a viable "business". I believe that if we (on the Planet, but also through all forms of social media available to us globally), are presented with a proposal that has promise, will be mobilized. Let's hear what can be done! (Also - I think that using Yuzu's name or likeness will not benefit any effort to have ISU make changes since their feelings towards him, specifically, seem to be cemented.)

Tears - expressing how every Fanyu feels, but with that great Spanish emotion. (And Yuzu is so TINY in this - the miniature version of him - but you can still see the magic.)

I love how the Abstract (generally the most difficult paragraph of a scientific thesis or dissertation) pretty much tells you everything about his thesis. All the rest of it will be what he was trying to look for, how he went about finding out what he was trying to find out, and what he did find out. What, why and how. He's going to change scoring forever (and it needs changing....)

Legitimately jealous of your friend.

Currently a bit more than 4K views short. Let's see what we can do to push it over.

It's almost hard to believe that Yuzu hadn't read this a decade ago and took it to heart. He has the same spirit. (Thanks for sharing-)

I won't even watch NC's again. Ever.

I would like to know why most skating feds do not complain to the ISU about the scoring insanity. the US and Rus Feds won't because they are favored, though you'd think they would want a fair competition (ok- maybe not the RusFed). The JFed won't because -I think- they are just too polite and want to stay out of it and not risk further penalties against their skaters. But Max knows, and most of the skating commentators know, that the scoring is skewed. After this basically useless and unimportant (yet very dangerous) competition this week with a pre-determined winner, I am done. I'm sorry that the season was so weird and mostly non-existent, but i'm not unhappy that it's over because I just couldn't watch anymore.

I think he's just working on putting on specific muscle mass that will help with the rotations. His upper body definitely looks more "bulked up", if we can call anything about Yuzu bulky. I seriously doubt he's eating more fat - he's just targeting building muscle in certain areas. He knows enough about the physics to keep his overall shape slim and perfect.
-
And also indicates just how much he could benefit from spending time with his jump coach (Ghislain). If he can almost get it landed smoothly, then Ghislain can help him over the hump and the Yuzu can practice his 4A 1000 times landing it safely.

If we have an actual Koreans on this thread, I'd like to know what is the proper way to address the head of company in a letter. For instance, if I'm writing the head of Samsung, would I just start it off with "Dear Mr. Lee Kun-hee," or "Dear Mr. Lee"? Is "Dear" even the proper way to begin a formal letter? Thanks.....

Wow - I am stunned at just how wrong you are. All great athletes have great coaches. Period. Yuzu would have done well, because he is driven and phenomenally gifted, but without the correct coach, he wouldn't have been able to rise as he did. He went to TCC to work on quads - so he knew he needed that coaching to achieve the best quads. And comparing Brian Orser to Johnny Weir? Are you kidding? Not only is JW not a coach, his attitude is mercurial and self-serving. Just, wow.
-
I believe Brian Orser - why would he not speak the truth? There are a good number of seemingly conflicting reasons for any decision made about Yuzu's return to TCC. And they are all moot, at this point. Until there is possible travel allowed into Canada, any comment of Yuzu's plans are purely speculation. I, personally, hope he does get back to Toronto because I think it will be beneficial to Yuzu - but also because it would mean my chances of seeing him skate live again shoot up. Brian and Ghislain and Tracy have been nothing but supportive of Yuzu. They will continue to do what they can to insure his success (which may mean securing rink time just for him) and his health.

Masquerade is from Phantom of the Opera.

Pudding is just generic for the sweet course at the end of the meal. It can be anything; not necessarily what we know as "pudding". It's just the final course, and started to be, basically, sweet by the end of the 1700's (when meat ceased being the primary ingredient). Custard has a different history, though I certainly consider it pudding.

I, for one, would love to become a little Canadian. Did anyone say something similar about Javi? Or Jun? Brian is a coach, not a dictator. He respects his skaters and allows them the freedom to make their own choices (which, when I think about it, is kind of Canadian).

No! No!

Do try to find some way to watch other than streaming ISU. I don't want them to think I support them holding competitions of ay kind in virus-stricken countries in the middle of a pandemic. I'd rather pay iSakura.

Well, I'm really happy to see Jun on that list - as #4. Love that boy.
