  1. I don't know who arranged for Jimin to actually get the guitar from Ryan - but how amazing that he did. I do know that almost all the principals in production (Barbie), from the director on down, are female, so no surprise that there had to be ARMY in there. I somehow don't think Jimin would do a NYC-ICN quickie RT just to pick up this guitar. It had to have been delivered to Seoul- (and YES to Jimin being back on Instagram!!!) Hobi has some vacation time! Four days? He'll for sure go see his family and MIckey and then Seoul. Fingers crossed we get something -
  2. I had guessed, even presumed, that JK would be headed back to Seoul after London and seems to be the case - there is a live feed from Incheon happening right now, waiting for his arrival. It is the 24th in Korea. But the only non stop flights to Seoul are Korean and Asiana Air - the first due at 3:50, so more than four hours from now? There isn;t much of a crowd or press at the airport so maybe this is true. Kind of stunning they show up so far in advance. (I suppose he could have gone to Paris or some other city and flown from there, but...) Anyway, July 24 is the 100th day in the military for Hobi so he'll get his first leave starting on the 24th or maybe it's after 100 days, so he'd have leave as of the 25th. I figured that OT7 would be in Seoul, if they could, to see Hobi. I'm really looking forward to someone capturing a random shot of them all (maybe minus Jin). I doubt there will be anything formal since there wasn't anything official when Jin had his first leave. I think this is the first full day there has been nothing new. The choreo for Seven video - technically released as the 23rd began- and one RM Instagram. It feels empty.
  3. Correct - I was wrong about who was on stage - but Morgan Wallen was one of the performers at the festival. Jason Aldean just happened to be on stage when the shooting started. Truthfully, I can't tell them apart from each other....
  4. The Morgan Wallen vs JK thing - MW's song is not just racist, it's also pro-gun. The MV has him in front a courthouse that saw a lynching of a young man. His racism is so blatant and sickening - but the gun violence thing? I want to point out that it was him who was on the stage in Las Vegas when a gunman opened fire on festival attendees and killed at least 59 people. The largest mass shooting in US history (which is saying something since we have multiple people killed with guns on a daily basis). His tone-deafness is appalling. I was disappointed that BBC had such a small audience for JK - I';m sure they were overwhelmed with requests and also wanted to make sure the location was secure, but did they not know they could shoot this someplace else and have a thousand well behaved ARMY there? Someone didn't do research.
  5. According to Spotify - there were 14 official versions of Dynamite added on Sept 18, 2020 but that's just when someone made a playlist - and the day four versions were actually released. So original on Aug 21, then two days later, two new versions, and within a week, there were six versions total released. It looks to me that some were renamed but 14 total "names". I think some are the same version with a different name. What ARMY's buying strategy was before that is something I don't know, but they certainly were topping Asian and Japanese charts years before Dynamite. I guess I never realized before BTS that multiple versions of the same song was a "thing" - except maybe an instrumental version. Evidently the strategy of all those releases is to keep the song high on the Billboard charts as long as possible. Life Goes On didn't have so many - and I don't know if every version of any of their songs were sold, like on iTunes, as Seven is, but just released to be put on playlists.
  6. JK's photo book concept was vampire-y. He must like vampires. His sleep patterns certainly work for a vampire.
  7. You put me to shame - i spent two days just trying to get through the first two "letters" of the alphabet. It's going to be 111 here (that's about 44C) and I just went to the pool to cool off. Trying to save a hornet from drowning, i ended up being stung. Trying to save it! How dare it? I'm not allergic but my baby finger is red and swollen. Ouch - Anyway - the lifeguard mentioned to someone she is leaving in two weeks to spend two years in France, to learn French. I guess she just graduated from the U here - and is fluent in Chinese and Korean. I asked her if she'd been to Korea. No. And no intention of going because - she doesn't like Korean food. This is not an acceptable reason to not travel to Korea as far as I'm concerned. There are actually non-spicy foods available there. Some people do have an affinity for language acquisition. I am not one of those people.
  8. The 24th is Hobi's 100th day so he should be getting a break (for 4 days?) after that. I think I remember that this brutal hike was right before Jin has his first leave. And to the multiple (I'd say too many) versions of Seven - it seems like part of the particular push by the distributers (Geffen? Hybe? Universal?) to push JK. Goes along with the heavy pre-release promotion. Even if each version is only $0.69, I'm still not going to get 10 versions. This seems excessive. And it's the sort of thing that causes critics to point out that there is something nearing chart manipulation when it comes to BTS (or anyone). So many ARMY pushing "get many email addresses - buy from separate IP addresses - buy 10 copies of each, etc.. JK'd still be at the top of the charts with the original two releases. Also, my wallet is not bottomless. I'm getting the physical CD (shipping is twice the cost of the CD) and bought the two originals on iTunes. If I seriously got them all, I'd be spending $12 or $13 for one song. Astronaut had an actual CD (two versions) and photo book and what I would call reasonable promotion (and I wish it had done better, but it still did pretty well....) . I would use that as the standard promotion for a single. And he's going to be putting out an album, so he says.... It's just excessive -
  9. I can believe it - I would, too. Much like. The tweet with the YouTubes for JK's stuff today - and his message to ARMY. And I'm looking forward to JK on Suchwita (Hobi's could have been hours longer) and see if he says he wants to be a BIG THEE pop star or if he, like all the others, will say how great he knows OT7 is and how he's looking forward to them all being together again. I'm sure he's riding this high, as well he should. I'd have thought the FIFA deal wopuld have produced that same feeling. And I hope that I meet Yoongi the same way all the other guys did - in his underwear. I think it's really funny that all the guys mention it - but it doesn't surprise me at all. Guys.
  10. The book is topping sales charts!!!
  11. I hear the movie is very funny, though I never even had a Barbie. And who doesn't love Ryan Gosling? I hope Jimin has seen this. I will try to post it on Weverse - And @rockstaryuzu haas a better command of Korean than I do. She just needs a year of schooling, 6 months in Korea and a fully paid leave.
  12. With no actual ability to translate what he's saying, we are at the mercy of translators so will probably never get an thorough explanation. One of us needs to learn Korean (LOL - i have tried and it's HARD)
  13. Hey - I was right about him going to London! This is one of his US radio interviews - note: Latto was suggested by someone else and wasn't something he came up with on his own....
  14. So - if JK's dance team just flew to London, does that mean so did JK? Could be something unrelated but... i cannot upload this instagram post but I'm trying - Just saying it since I can't get an image..... Maybe JK will be some UK shows next... This doesn'tseem to work... https://www.instagram.com/stories/noah_nakta/3149946404819687541/?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng%3D%3D
  15. Tae hasn't mentioned NewJeans at all - and when did he go to Spain? (when he was in France?). No one seems to be saying he participated in any way other than "appear". And interesting that the US Awards were there at all. Of course, with Hybe Insight closed, I guess they have to go somewhere. They had a huge, tall wall there with all the awards displayed. It's wildly impressive.
  16. A quick trip. I wonder why, if he was there for support, that he didn't show up in the Live. JK did seemed bummed about the way the show unfolded (because of the weather and that he thought he could have done better with rehearsal) but my favorite moment of his whole appearance on GMA was when the nervousness and maybe even a little fear disappeared off his face when he "felt" ARMY there. He knew they were there and he was "on" as he walked down the stairs and went to center stage, but he had a kind of blank face when he got out there and that melted away.
  17. Speaking of Agust D - I thought his upcoming concerts, or at least one, was going to be live streamed but there hasn't been anything on Weverse about it. It's 2 1/2 weeks away - isn't it about the time they'd be trying to get ARMY to buy a stream? And - where is Jimin???? Yes, to support JK, but is that it? There, of course, been speculation that he and JK would be shooting a MV or recording something. I can understand that Hybe may want to keep that under wraps but as Seven featured an actress, if there are any plans for shooting something in the states, they wouldn't be able to use any American actors (or writers) because of the strikes. JK talks about future performances. No schedule released on any of that?
  18. I'd like them to offer Yet to Come in Busan as a purchase on Weverse,,,,
  19. It actually hasn't been officially released as a single, as a song, though you can stream it on YouTube. Maybe the release date is meant to happen the day before Lollapalooza. It seems odd timing since the song is clearly available, but, on the other hand, they weren't going to be able to hold #1 with JK coming a week later. It seems like the release timing was screwed up at Hybe, so maybe re-doing a release date is a good thing. And Hobi. I am so excited that, with the stupid new Billboard rules about digital releases, maybe Jack in the Box can show up high on the charts. It's far more appealing to the general listening public that D-Day because it has more lyrical stuff on it. And I think ARMY will support it. I am - and was disappointed that all we got was the digital when it first came out..
  20. And, in response to queries about hand/finger movements and "did I just see that?", I have a very simple explanation. After watching an Instagram post that featured four of the background dancers for JK (and also Yoongi.....), in individual clips, doing some of the choreo from Seven. They - and JK - are using fingers to indicate what day of the week it is. One for Monday, two for Tuesday - etc.... so movements more innocent that previously speculated on -
  21. I have absolutely no doubt that Latto was Scooter
  22. The performance video is great - but I seem to be the only one who absolutely hates the addition of Latto. And the explicit version. Why? Because it's gratuitous. It isn;t because our baby bunny is all grown up, it's because he (or others) seem to think that you can show "maturity" by being explicit and, frankly, disgusting - Latto. When nudity or sex scenes are in movies when they add nothing but titillation or exploitation, it's pointed out as gratuitous - not necessary for the story or not necessary, period. In Hollywood, most actresses will not do nudity or partial nudity or explicit sex scenes - and especially if it really is not necessary for the plot or the story. Hence - the explicit version is gratuitous (how many times does he sing "f-k"?) as is the addition of Latto into the MV. Yes - I'm older, but I do remember when the attitude towards the gratuitous sexualization of women in film changed and it was for the better. I also think this MV and Seven, in general, only topped Jimin because of pre-promotion and promotion. The story parts of the MV are cool and would have been better left alone - We all wondered (and I still do) why JK's solo outing was so heavily promoted, while none of the other members solos were. I still wonder. I'm not being a prude - I'm being sad.
  23. Okay - haven't watched GMA yet and have to run to a dental cleaning (and poor Bella had three teeth removed yesterday at doggie teethcleaning). So I'm behind - but I have to say that the explicit version totally unnecessary (what? we don't have imaginations?). I'm not wild about the song at all. The MV is cool but---- As far as the solo outings, I;'m much more into Jimin's two latest MV's and Astronaut and On the Street )and not crazy for J Cole, but a lot less fond of latto- whose idea was she?). I actually hope it does well but doesn't knock Like Crazy out. Or Take Two. I'll try to get to the viewing party but have to run now!
