  1. Yoongi missed Sope. How cool that they shot that before even the first haircut. The choreo has been in place two months.
  2. Yoongi dancing so insanely well in practice forces me to remind us what Yoongi thought when he signed with BigHit. So I resurrect the first (pre-RunBTS series) series (I think it's the first) called BTS Rookie King. Episode 4, around the 19 minute mark, when Yoongi yells at BangPD because he'd been told, when he signed, there would be no dancing and no choreography.
  3. And to think there was a time we thought Yoongi wasn't really into the dancing part of being an "idol" (of course his shoulder hurt lots for that first 8 years). 2 new shares - so weird to be in the other side of the world and already well into Monday. And beat to it on posting this first one - sorry
  4. I love Yoongi more for this sentiment -
  5. Back to sweet Hobi - they must quarantine all the newbies. He wasn't sick. I bet they just keep the new guys separate from the rest of the base. There is no reason to single one guy out.
  6. I have to say that, in spite of how amazing the MV for Haegeum is, I really hate cigarette smoking. Hate it. I get the "gangster" guy "we all smoke" image he's throwing out there but I really wish he'd put something on Weverse about that this was "acting" and that he doesn't smoke (God, I hope he doesn't) and that he understands that cigarettes are unhealthy and stupid. He (and all of them) are role models for SO many people. How many people will start smoking because if him and this? OK - end of anti-smoking rant. What? I saw the message -I'll try to track one down -
  7. I don't know if this is true or not but it seems to me that if they have him for five weeks of training, isolating him for a week and then still expect five additional weeks just seems mean. https://www.allkpop.com/article/2023/04/bts-j-hope-to-quarantine-1-week-in-military-due-to-covid-19
  8. And now that I'm back in computer land (on Jeju - and watched a pod of dolphins for about a half an hour), I have to add that I can't think of an uglier media act than doing a livestream of a young man returning to his home country because one of his mates has died. The throngs of media making every arrival of a BTS member a circus is bad enough - this is downright cruel.
  9. After much twitter communication and time passing because I travelled today, they eventually had a relatively simple though annoying solution - logout of all accounts (which would be only the one on my phone as it was the computer page that wasn't working), close out any active pages, shut down the computer, come back on and go to an igconito page and go to ticketmaster.com and sign in. This, by the way, was vastly simpler then their initial suggestions that I didn't even try because I was traveling. So - thank you @amylance1215
  10. Thanks - I'm trying their twitter accounts too and will check your link out after I get to Jeju (leaving hotel to go to Gimpo shortly!) I sent them a message - we'll see when I hear som, ething
  11. Okay - this is a request for all non-NoAmericans on here. I cannot access Ticketmaster (god how I hate them) while I am in Korea. I have potential buyers for two of my TXT tickets and TM won't let me on, via my computer. I get this: Pardon the Interruption As you were browsing something about your browser made us think you were a bot. There are a few reasons this might happen: You're a power user moving through this website with super-human speed. You've disabled JavaScript in your web browser A third-party browser plugin, such as Ghostery or NoScript is preventing JavaScript from running. I have jumped through hoops and have java script. I set my VPN to the US and still the same message. Now @rockstaryuzu is getting the same message - only on the computer. I seem to have access on my phone but afraid to do anything with that and lose access altogether. Can you guys try to get an email address for their customer support? Or any phone number, no matter what country it's in? @amylance1215 Maybe you have had to navigate this before or have an email that works from Asia. (????)
  12. So sad - It;'s not like young people who reach some level of stardom early spin out when the brightness dulls. Happens to kids who are big in movies when they are little and then grow up. And K-pop is as notorious as any industry in using them up and spitting them out. I do wonder what the future is for a 25 year old who is not longer an active idol or feels pushed out because their time is over. Lee Hyun has mad it as a solo - but I think that's rare. It would be great and almost necessary for the big agencies to provide something like job or career counseling as their young people transition into other things. There are sports where people age out and while many of the top stars have big bucks, what do you do with the rest of your life when this is all you've known? I don;t think Yoongi's tour will be impacted - but this has to hit hard, especially in the same week they had to send Hobi off.
  13. Joon's been crying - they all have. Hobi is being so brave for the other guys and he was so excited that Jin came. Why is it we saw two big black vehicles but they don't seen to have arrived together? Also, I'm crying, I;m, glad BigHit got this out there and can't wait for the subs. (And I think that Jimin didn't meet Tae today to workout because Jimin was probably home holed up and recovering.
  14. His hair is so curly. I wonder if it curls a little when it hits his shoulders (as hair is want to do) or if he's had some "soft" perm. Also - Tae made it clear that it's time for some ARMY to ask ridiculous questions and say stupid things over and over. Someone posted a list of things to use when watching a live and I'm going to save it. Certainly asking something in Korean is a lot easier for the members.
  15. Yoongi is killing me. And I was already dead (thanks, JK). And grieving the fact that we won't hear anything from Hobi until May 23 (and neither will the members so I'm way more sad for them....to have someone in your life for 11, 12 years and know that you can reach out and talk to them, even when you're living in your own place, and then not be able to for 5 weeks. It seems like a lot..)
  16. It seems others in the UK heard the news... and the culture in Korea is very age deferential. That's why being even months older means you're older and should be deferred to. I don't imagine that any of the members parents actually considered that their children would be the sort of money-earners they are. I don't think they had a clue as to how it would work out. It seems more to me that, for most of them, it was allowing their children to follow a dream. Kind of like letting your child pursue football when pone in 100K actually ever make any money playing it. I don't know how much free time they had when they were trainees anyway. Almost none. And Yoongi's parents weren't supportive at all. The few Korean parents I have met and talked to are very invested in their children. Not like helicopter parents but have high expectations; more in the educational vein, though. I think the trainee culture is something we can't quite fully grasp. I know I would never have sent my 13 or 14 year old to the "big" city and have him live with 6 other teenage boys in a one bedroom apartment. The man in the family of the dog I sit for on Jeju is a teacher (he is American from NoCal) at a private school where all the teaching is done in English. Parents from Korea and China and some other countries send their kids there to help them succeed in their lives. But most of the kids go home for vacations and holidays. I do wonder why some of the member's parents didn't visit and see their boys. I think it was Tae who said his father would drive (?) a really long round trip so he could see him on a Sunday for a few hours. Still, what were JK's parents thinking when they sent him off to Seoul? Jimin was already headed towards dance seriously and maybe his going wasn't quite the same stretch, but he was still just a boy. It's a little after 8 pm here and I have been thinking about just what a shock to his system this day has been for Hobi. I hope he's as excited as he wanted us to believe he was. And at least he had Jin fill him in on what would be happening.
  17. I see Yoongi opening up to enlistment as soon as his tour is over. He's going to want to get it over with. But we don't really know if he'll be doing traditional military - there was that idea out in the ether back when Jin started the procedure that Yoongi was somehow not "fit" but that's why he had his shoulder surgery. I know that the US military wouldn't turn him down because he'd once had a bad shoulder,
  18. Bang went, too? I presume his mom and dad would go, but maybe he said goodbye to them at home. ( I wondered the same thing about Jin's parents when he went in. This is the kind of thing parents go to, but then most who go in are much younger.) Seeing the two photos made me cry...how can they reproduce this again, with all 7? And I think that Jimin is next and RM - JK last but maybe he and Tae can go in together. Going through this five more times feels so empty. And I already marked May 23 as Hobi's five weeks mark and that's when he'll hear from him again.
  19. OK - the scoop from Seoul here. The base entrance and the road leading up to it is being livestreamed - even on KBS. Also checked on line. I guess he's due to show in about 30 minutes (haven't a clue if that's accurate -). From online (many sources ) this base is a training base. He will train here for five weeks and then be assigned elsewhere so may wind up with Jin anyway (fingers crossed). Reading the "chat" flying by and some are wondering if Jin will be part of the today thing. Who knows - though I doubt it. https://nakdseoul.kr/2023/04/13/bts-j-hope-to-begin-military-service-on-april-18th/
  20. How are there two of them vying for "most impish" in this group? I've always thought of Jimin as chief imp, but realize that Hobi can be, too. Maybe they got along so sweetly because they have that similar trait. It's raining in Seoul. The sky is crying.
  21. Go ahead, Yoongi - make me cry. I love it, that he, who seems sometimes so independent, looks forward to OT7. They all must know that alone, they can do incredible things and make incredible music, but when it's all 7 - it's magic and something that is a level above anything they do alone (or anyone does, for that matter). I can't find info on when JK actually left the states. Theoretically, he could already be back on the country. And nothing on Hobi showing up at his base. Keeping my eyes peeled.
  22. I hope we get a video or a photo of the five dropping off the sixth at his base. I'm going to cry -
