Happy New Year, fellow ARMY Fanyus! It's already 5 on New Years day. I love that Jin and Hobi had personal messages (I'm counting Jin's birthday message to Tae). They both must have more access due to their time in the military. And I think Hobi was home for Christmas... It's been 100 days since Yoongi enlisted so he should have phone privileges now so will be able to communicate with the two that also can use their phones. (And I still don't really know what is expected from Yoongi as far as residence and when he'll have to do that one week (?) of regular-type training.) Hobi's New Years letter made me sad but happy. He's so conscious of what he did prior to enlistment and clear about how badly he wants to be back. Also, I think it's great that Jin, with outside communication, will have been able to share with the two he has with him how well their songs have been doing. Jimin #1 on iTunes in so many countries. JK still smashing records. Their going in together reassures me of how much BTS means to them all and how solo accomplishments, though sweet, are just that. Sweet, but they long to be with OT7 again. I wonder if it would be Jin who we should suggest a In the Soop, but alone first, kind of getaway together after everyone is out - and had time to see their families. Anyway - happy 2024. Jin back in 5 1/2 months!!!!

Oh, and he loves winning games!

UMI Q+A about Tae and the collab. I'm not nuts for the song but she does seem very suited to Tae's style -
-
I think it's short (not "Super Tuna" short, but short) and Tae isn't on it long. Sweet to hear his voice, but I like all his solo stuff better -
-
I think I was equating "tough" with "hard" - like having no soft emotions. Happy Tae day! 3 hrs until his song comes out -
-
They know how they are supposed to appear in all official photos. I hope he doesn't become tough. I do know people who were destroyed by their military activity (but in times of war -). Seeing Jin and Hobi at Yoongi's concert revealed that they are still themselves, no matter how they appear in official photos. And glad to see Hybe is doing what it can to really go after the people who have been dangerously obsessed and those with malicious intent towards the members. A similar notice went out for TXT and says that complaints have upped six fold. I take that to mean there are a lot of baddies out there who are going after them because our members are away, and also they (TXT) has increased in popularity and exposure.

I agree - I think he's been working on something. I hope Hobi, but Jack in the Box almost killed him. And Namjoon looks like he's going to cry in his group photo. I know they aren't supposed to smile but he looks really sad.

I have seen two locations (on Jeju) that are in the process of becoming Compose Coffee shops. I haven't seen one open but if I see one, maybe I should at least try their coffee (even if Tae wouldn't).
-
It's always good to have other people buy the merch we want! About to head out to the otherside of Jeju to see the lava tubes and more - but will watch the second two installments on Disney+ and Suchwita tonight. A couple of tweets (one a translation of a piece of the latest Such. episode). Yoongi makes me cry. Hobi, too.

Well, we know JK was killing all kinds of record - but so have Jimin and Tae - https://www.hindustantimes.com/entertainment/music/bts-jimin-becomes-first-soloist-ever-to-have-7-songs-with-100-no-1s-each-on-itunes-charts-101703498190760.html https://www.sportskeeda.com/pop-culture/news-you-deserve-success-fans-rejoice-bts-v-becomes-1st-k-pop-soloist-solo-songs-300m-streams-spotify

Awwww - I just redid all my playlists! No rest for ARMY.
-
I'm all for us also being MOA - it will open up more possibilities for tickets when they announce their next tour. And they certainly have a lot of contect available. Subs are very very late in being put up for Lives, though.
-
If anyone watches the SBS Christmas special (I don't know how long that show is but they sure have a lot of artists on -) I have to voice my amazement and horror at whoever it is doing costumes for TXT. Seriously - ugly. And I don't even know how they can really dance in one set. They are good, in impossible conditions. (And Kai looks much brighter and happier - maybe healthier?- than he did for their sweet mirage: finale).
-
Everything is cute about it. Amnd makes me remember again their RunBTS voiceover episodes. So good. Naver published an article today (Christmas here). This is the translation - https://n.news.naver.com/entertain/article/416/0000302106
-
There's also this from the 2019 concert - and Merry Christmas everyone. Noon already in Korea. I just sent a message on weverse to the members - and wonder if they ever get anything we write.

Jimin is me. (But a better dancer.) This song, as his "see you later" song, as Astronaut and On the Street were, actually says what's up. He will be gone; he knows ARMY is concerned; but not to worry - they will all be back and back together. This song really says just that. They've said similar things during Lives and in interviews, but this song puts it to music with a great hook, and lyrics that are not complicated but address what are very complicated emotions for him and us. I'd say "it's simple" but it isn't - maybe it just seems so. And gut wrenching at the same time. (which is how we feel -). Still expecting a MV from this, though...
-
Surely he didn't do all this for a stroll down a street. There must be a legit choreographed MV to follow, right? (Of course, I just did a new YouTube playlist....) And the person who posted the Jin/JK exchange doesn't have any photo of them on her Facebook page. Who is putting this info out? I'm sure JK is excelling. Jimin, too, I suspect - but JK was in better stronger shape when he went in. I did see that the numbers on their helmets are 59 and 60 so Id think they would be doing most activities next to each other, but I haven't seen any evidence of that. Probably alphabetical...? And Jin can post comments on Weverse but I guess only in response to someone else's?? I am surprised there has been no comments from any members about the success of Jimin's song. If the rules are the same for Yoongi as the others, he can't use his phone for 100 days? And that would be the 31st - he won't even be able to wish Tae a Happy Birthday.
-
That does not appeal at all. The red bean paste one is probably tasty (and the kimchi one) but they are hue an need to be shared.
-
I hadn't. I'm glad he didn't have to wear the tree for all of the pics.
-
Steamed buns. Huge steamed buns. I don't even know what the yellow stuff is - and never seen a kimchi filled one, but I'd eat it.
-
He may have been in NY for a fashion shoot. But, I hear what you're saying. He seems to have been working on some choreo, too. But if there is another Jimin song dropping, I would think it won't be immediately. But what's with the choreo? I do wonder what he was doing in NY. And what were he and JK up to in Japan? Probably just a private trip (and I kind of hope that's the case) but who knows? The last four in were more aware (certainly more aware than Hobi) about producing content to dribble out while they are gone from us.) I have this little hope that there is another OT7 song coming but Take Two was probably the last. They were so busy those last few months before Jin went in.
-
It looks like the bulk of the beginning of this was shot when he was working on Face. and then some much more recently. We can add him to Jin and Hobi making MVs (and songs) specifically to reassure ARMY.
-
Translation: (also - I think the documentary will be bouncing back and forth in time - they aren't done with the first seven years yet - (see preview before the translation - I tried to put it after but no cooperation - and it does seem to start up where the 2nd one ended and I expect they will show a lot of how they made the pandemic work for them. They still haven't even really shown much about the "almost quitting" part.)
-
What did he do? Almost any successful artist or athlete does not emerge whole and without assistance anyway. Once a recording company gets their hands on an artist, they become as managed, or more so, than Korean artists. And, yes, BTS (and TXT) have evolved - pretty much exclusively due to their own creativity and hard work growth. Also -
