  1. Source That's exactly what I hope Yuzu is doing right now: relaxing in an onsen, playing lots of video games, eating mountains of yummy gyoza, and sleeping a lot.
  2. Regarding Yuzu's withdrawal, it's not surprising and I'm glad he prioritizes recovering from his injury. The most important thing is that he heals completely and can enjoy skating with a fully healthy body and fully healthy ankles again. The men's competition at these Worlds will be so predictable and boring. As far as I know, Nate will participate, so we already know who the winner will be. And the medalists will probably be the same as at the Olympics. At least women's will be a real competition and interesting again. I hope Yuzu will eat lots of yummy food, sleep a lot, play video games and just relax. He can take all the time he wants. He doesn't have anything to prove. His fans will always love him and patiently wait for him.
  3. This is great! Yuzu's popularity is still growing and there are more and more people who are discovering him. And considering the fact that YouTube isn't available in China and Yuzu has many Chinese fans, I can imagine that there are also quite a couple of videos on Chinese platforms that have millions of views.
  4. These Yuzu fanboys are going crazy for him.
  5. I think we should keep in mind that this interview was done on February 14, just a few days after men's FS. At that time, the wounds were still fresh and Yuzu had been sitting in his room for a few days, nursing his injury, and probably with many thoughts running through his head. So, it's not surprising that he was still feeling down and disappointed. I don't know if this interview happened before or after he went to his practice session that day, but his time on the ice definitely seemed to put him in a better mood the following days. I guess that's therapy Yuzu style: get on the ice and skate. If there's one thing I know for sure, it's Yuzu's love for skating. I believe after he has recovered, he will bounce back and show us more of his wonderful skating and performances, one way or another. I just hope he heals quickly and does whatever it is that gives him the most joy.
  6. This is a very helpful thread about turns in figure skating.
  7. Translation of Yuzu's interview by Shuzo Matsuoka during the Olympics. [NEWS]
  8. The way Yuzu stared at Anna's costume with shining eyes! Will we see Yuzu in a costume with LEDs on top of a million crystals? This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  9. That really tells you everything about the "fairness" of scoring in figure skating these past few years...
  10. Lotte also posted the pics on their Twitter. These pics are so nice! [NEWS]
  11. These are all six Lotte full page ads and the translation of the captions. It's great to see such support for Yuzu. [NEWS]
  12. Exactly! Yuzu had to go through a lot these Olympics, and in fact the last couple of years. We all know what I mean, so I won't mention these things again here. The Olympics have shown that figure skating is more corrupt than ever and that scores and medals are more meaningless than ever. And Yuzu proved for good that he has surpassed figure skating itself. He's more beloved and popular than this sport has ever been. He is the one who touches souls, moves hearts, and attracts masses of people and their attention, favor, and money. He has grown into a legend and phenomenon that goes far beyond figure skating itself. I hope he will take some time to rest, get proper treatment for his injury, process everything that happened, and do some soul searching with a clear mind. Knowing him and his incredible strength and resilience, he will definitely bounce back one way or the other. I'm sure that these experiences only make him stronger as a person. I hope he will skate and perform for his love of skating and performing. I hope he will skate for the joy and fun of it. Whatever he may choose to do in the future, his skating will speak for itself and the love and support he receives will always be the greatest.
  13. These look so great! I wish they were also available here. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  14. This is such a relatable issue I believe pretty much every person struggles with in their life. Often, you don't get rewarded for your efforts and no matter what you do and how hard you work, your efforts seem futile and fruitless. I've had many of these experiences in my own life. If you've put your all into achieving a goal and it doesn't work out for whatever reason, it's such a disappointment. You feel defeated, helpless, and powerless. It even feels like the whole world is against you. At least, that's what I felt during my own experiences. On top of his personal struggles, Yuzu also had to deal with the immense pressure and expectations not only from himself, but also from his entire country, and even the whole world. I admire him so much for handling every challenge and obstacle from the outside world with so much strength and grace. Even though Yuzu's efforts were not rewarded directly with a medal or the clean landing of his 4A, they were certainly not in vain. Yuzu has inspired so many people and gained many new fans and admirers. He rediscovered his love for skating and performing and showed the whole world what figure skating can look like. I hope that one day, he'll be able to look back and realize that in hindsight, everything makes sense and his rewards may not have been obvious, but will be more profound and meaningful. [NEWS]
  15. Source This is awesome! Eye make-up inspired by Yuzu's costumes. The Seimei one even glows in the dark like the Seimei sleeves.
  16. There must be a way to adjust the strap with watches of this class and price point. If it's a metal strap, it's usually adjusted by taking off one or a few of the links/pieces of the strap (I don't know what they're called). You should take the watch to a jewelry/watch shop and ask them to adjust it for you. They should have specialized tools and skills for taking off the links. Good luck!
  17. Hehehe... They all know who the true star is. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  18. The greatest of all time indeed.
  19. It must've been a very emotional interview and the interviewer has known and supported Yuzu for many years.
  20. Yuzu's 4A is such a magnificent beauty! If he's healthy and still has the desire to pursue it, I would love to see him jump and land it in competition. He was so close to landing it during the Olympics. I think if it wouldn't have been for his injury, he might've been able to land it then.
  21. A part of Yuzu's interview with Shuzo. Yuzu becoming the 4A himself... it's quite fitting as a symbol for his metamorphosis into the best version of himself and the best skater he can be. It's a long, painful, and hard road, but in the end the rewards will be even greater. [NEWS]
  22. There are many of Yuzu's costumes that I love, but my favorite is probably Origin 2.0. It's just so majestic! The design is breathtaking and the details are precious. The shape and color fit Yuzu perfectly and flatter his figure and make him look even taller and more slender.
  23. They know who the star is (and who sells the most newspapers). [NEWS]
