  1. I'm only catching up to all the news and posts here and on Twitter now. I'll need more time to digest everything until I can express my thoughts and feelings properly. But this is what I can say so far. I've been crying a lot since reading about the news. Not just because of Yuzu's announcement, but mostly because of everything he has given me, given all of us, all the love, joy, happiness, beauty, excitement, wonder, everything. Accompanying Yuzu on his journey has been a wonderful ride. There have been many moments of utter joy. There have also been moments of heartbreak. It has been a cornucopia of everything life has to offer. I'm just grateful for having been on this ride. I'm grateful that I get to see and experience all that Yuzu has been giving us. And I'm grateful that I'm in the company of so many like-minded, kind and generous people. Thank you, Yuzu! Thank you, everybody! Now let's go off into new adventures together with Yuzu!
  2. Yuzu at his press conference tomorrow: "With immediate effect, I herewith retire from participating in any competitions... organized by the ISU... From now on, I shall only participate in competitions organized by the newly founded YSU, the Yuzuru Skating Union. Hehehe."
  3. This is such a beautiful and touching fan edit. Yuzu means the world to us.
  4. Or announcing Old Man Pooh and Yuzu Pooh as his official new coaches? I agree. Yuzu is a very considerate and thoughtful man. He also knows how much his fans love him and are waiting to know what he'll do in the future. I'm sure he would've announced it sooner if he really planned to r*****. Unless it's really something unexpected (an injury) that happened the last few weeks. But I doubt that because I don't think he's been pushing himself like crazy after FaOI. I'm sure nowadays he's more aware than ever what his body needs and that he has to rest properly and let his injuries heal fully before he can continue to reach for more stars. He's in no hurry. He has already achieved more than anyone has ever achieved. Han can afford to take things slowly. Yuzu did say that he wants to continue to challenge the 4A, but I believe he'll do that in a sustainable and conscious way. Yes! And at the press conference, he'll introduce his cute new kitties and announce that from now on, he'll post regular vlogs about him playing with his cats. Well, for the ISU, it actually might be their judgement day. If Yuzu should r*****, they're done for. Perhaps Yuzu will finally announce the founding of the YSU, the Yuzuru Skating Union!
  5. Haru-chan is all of us, waiting for Yuzu's press conference with excitement (and anxiety). Look how tight he's squeezing poor Pooh!
  6. This is even more beautiful in slow motion. Only Yuzu can create such divine beauty!
  7. I saw that Spain has been suffering through heatwaves with temperatures of over 40 degrees this summer. I can't imagine what this must feel like. Please take good care of yourself!
  8. I agree. Yuzu doesn't just have the courage, inspiration, vision, drive, and perseverance to be the best he can be and bring out the best in himself. He inspires other people to be the best they can be and bring out the best in themselves. If you look at all the artists and other professionals Yuzu has worked with, many of them said something along the lines of Yuzu inspiring them to become better versions of themselves.
  9. Yuzu's rice art paddy is looking really good! [NEWS]
  10. I'm pretty sure there are many more Yuzu fans than skating fans in China. [NEWS]
  11. This Turkish sports broadcaster made a Yuzu post again, this time, showing his perfect 4Lz. It's amazing how popular Yuzu is in countries where figure skating is basically non-existent. They have good taste. Yuzu's 4Lz is absolute perfection. [NEWS]
  12. Oooh... and then a swarm of tiny winged Poohs fetch the little pieces of costumes and use honey magic to assemble them on Yuzu's body. No wonder his costumes always look like they hug every single centimeter of his skin and every single one of his curves.
  13. My theory is that Yuzu's costumes are made of smaller single pieces that, at his command, fly to him, assemble themselves on his body, and then seamlessly attach themselves to each other, like Iron Man's suits. Never mind me. This whole waiting for the assignments hasn't been good for my nerves.
  14. F... the ISU! The ticket sales for the Finland GP will start on Monday. I'm definitely waiting for the assignments before buying tickets, but I'm afraid many fans will buy tickets just to make sure they get a chance to see Yuzu.
  15. I've been a Fanyu for many years, but I still keep discovering things about him I've never seen before.
  16. I think even the ISU people are not so stupid that they would promise Yuzu's participation in the GPs without getting his confirmation beforehand. And if Yuzu did commit already, it's unlikely he'll change his mind unless there's a very serious reason. In this sense, I just hope and pray that whatever happens, Yuzu is healthy and happy! But yeah, it's all just fun speculation. Let's hope we'll get the assignments very soon, hopefully tomorrow. The sale for the Finland GP tickets already starts Monday. Gah!
  17. Let me join in this guessing game. It is possible that both new hosts only agreed to host the GPs if they would get a certain two-time Olympic champion. As far as I know, that's what happened in 2018 for the Helsinki GP. Perhaps the ISU couldn't make the announcements yet because they're fighting with the JSF over Yuzu. Obviously, the JSF would want to squeeze out as much money as they can with Yuzu by having him compete at the NHK Trophy. (I now have this movie in my mind with the ISU and JSF people bitch slapping each other. ) Anyway, if Yuzu should participate in the GP series and get the one in the UK and the one in Finland, it would probably be best if he would stay in Europe until after the GPF, as traveling back and forth would be way too exhausting and time-consuming. But yeah, we shall see. Life is really never boring as a Fanyu.
  18. This is so funny and entertaining! I love your vivid imagination and your sense of humor! This delay regarding the GP assignments is really annoying. The Finland GP already starts selling tickets on Monday. I really hope the assignments will be out until then.
  19. Yuzu's spiral is absolutely gorgeous! ETA: According to Google Translate, the caption says: "Is this what I am?" LOL! Come on, this wax figure really doesn't do Yuzu justice. It's too... waxen... Apparently, Yuzu is too otherwordly beautiful to capture his looks and form them into a realistic looking figure.
  20. This newspaper knows how to sell. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  21. Haru-chan has to wait a bit longer until he can give his birthday wishes.
  22. I see. This probably means no Yuzu then. Imagine having to fight for a ticket in this tiny ice rink if Yuzu should compete.
  23. If Yuzu should go, they will definitely need the bigger place. The small rink wouldn't even be big enough to hold all the Poohs.
  24. This is just wild speculation on my part. Perhaps the two potential new GP hosts are only willing to host under the condition that the two-time Olympic champion will compete in their GPs? Could this be the reason why the announcements were erased again? Yuzu hasn't confirmed yet. I would love for Yuzu to compete in European GPs, since traveling outside of Europe would be almost impossible for me due to the high costs. But of course we don't even know yet if Yuzu will participate in GPs at all. No matter what, I just hope Yuzu recovers fully, stays healthy and happy, and does whatever he feels is right for him regardless of external pressure.
  25. It's incredible how inspiring Yuzu is for so many people, including me. I'm in good company. [NEWS]
