  1. Yep, agree. I just find it funny that almost all of their articles are focusing on a single person, yet number 2 and 1 suddenly took a point of view of situation to include many people on it. Well, at least no Boyang erasure this time. LOL. Oh, and I am quite sure they change the title on number 3 to Yuzuru Hanyu wins back-to-back Olympics, achieves rock star status. I do not remember there is mention about Yuzu wining a back-to-back Olympics before (since I was hoping that back-to-back story can make it into number 1). And now Virtue and Moir fans get offended LOL. Did they make the complete list before starting to post number 30?
  2. What an... interesting way to make a choice that will please everyone yet still bring Nathan on the spotlight.
  3. Chinese fed: Okay, but invite Boyang too.
  4. Finland said, "We will have it, but give us Yuzuru and Alina." LOL. Yuzu does not really need protection, isn't he? Even if he fails in his GP he will just get kuyashii about it and take his revenge in 4CC and World. With him does not have 4CC gold (yet) and (so far) only 2 world I am totally okay with the outcome as long it is not an injury or sickness. Kinda disappointed because it is too far from my location, though. I think I just need to try my luck at world instead.
  5. Shoma is really good on it, although I guess music choice and his intensity also build the whole effect. Meanwhile Yuzu tends to go for flowing, natural style. Still, although I quite enjoy several other skaters (Shoma, Javi, Boyang, Kolyada), I only abuse my replay button on Yuzu.
  6. That will be so cool if Keagan land first 4A in competition, but then I think Twitter and Forums will be in uproar.
  7. Someone with lots of time at hand, apparently. And no one in man single achieved the super slam yet. Go Yuzu! Only need 4CC to get it!
  8. Saw this on GS thread and found it hilarious since our beloved alien did not make it to any list due to the curse of 4CC. GRAND SLAM: winning Worlds + Euros/4CC + GPF within a single season CAREER GRAND SLAM: winning Worlds + Euros/4CC + GPF during the course of one's career GOLDEN (GRAND) SLAM: winning Olympics + Worlds + Euros/4CC + GPF within a single season CAREER GOLDEN (GRAND) SLAM: winning Olympics + Worlds + Euros/4CC + GPF during the course of one's career CAREER SUPER GRAND SLAM (aka SUPER SLAM):* winning Jr Worlds + JGPF + Worlds + Euros/4CC + GPF + Olys during the course of one's career https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Slam_(figure_skating)
  9. Boyang should be an official long term. China Fed (possibly) wants to have power play with ISU over the China judges case, but they hardly want to sacrifice their best chance to medal at 2022. Sending him to Borser is a good move. Some 'competitions' at practice will not hurt Yuzu too, it will just thrive him more. They are also seems quite close(?) unlike Yuzu with... Nathan, for example.
  10. That is why I add 'all things aside' I really-really love black brocade (or whatever material used on the arms) and the contrast at the bodice remind me of POTO's half mask. I need Yuzu to wear more black. To be more exact, more sparkly blingy black.
  11. All things aside, I actually prefer the first version.
  12. I am not that familiar about POTO but my memory also remembers the costume as less sparkly. As for PW, TBF the blings can easier seen in videos compared to images since it is quite hidden.
  13. Nope, my later part is simply to share my opinion on how I see Yuzu, from my point of view.
  14. Pleats in blue PW are full with purple sparkles.
  15. TBH, I think this is similar with my post? To accept that people may have different perception based on differences on cultural background? While I also said that it will all be perceptions and not the truth (Again, due to differences with cultural backgrounds used during assessment). I add this not to point out who is right or wrong, but to suggest people to read it with a grain of salt to avoid long debates. I hope this may add better understanding on my earlier post.
  16. I remember reading somewhere several days ago that he puts all three silver from 4CC on his bedside to motivate himself. CMIIW.
  17. If I may say, some... let's say discontentment about this masculine/feminine topic happened because people have different ideas on what is masculinity and femininity in the first place. I am not saying that there are rights/wrongs here, just the case of people seeing things (in this case, Yuzu) and try to fit what they see into their own perception on masculine/feminine concept. Due to the diversity of cultural backgrounds in this melting pot called Planet Hanyu, understandably one's idea about the concept might be vastly different with the others. Now, if we are to find some agreement of this issue, then the first thing to do is to understand the cultural background on the speakers, while keeping in mind that it might be different with ours. Better yet, try to see Yuzu's action and choice based on HIS cultural background. Am I rambling enough? This things can be hard to explain. Now, personally, if I were to think whether Yuzu is masculine/feminine/both. First thing that come into my mind will be something like "404 error not found" because, I cannot say I have enough data to classify and justify my choice. He wear pink? Boobskirt? Sparkly things? Those are to fit his program and he is very thorough in such things. It is not like he carries all those outside of his program. And several page back there are also a post saying that high level performing arts in Japan involved gender swap roles, in this case requires male playing as female. Yet, as far as it goes, it is just for the sake of the art, not necessarily as a personality. His body type might also lend some illusion of femininity, with that delicate features... (and here I am starting to gushing again so let's just skip this). As for him being masculine by being competitive etc... Let's say that competitive is not something exclusively owned by a male. At least, that is how I feel when someone beat me while playing games (for an example). Okay, I end up with a wall of text. Sigh.
  18. Took me about 8 minutes, but I guess it was about how his... assets form a certain letter when: spinning on said assets on ice (w) and doing A spin (m).
  19. The second one ofc, where his... umm, assets, undeniably helps a lot.
  20. No negative opinion about, God forbid, butt spin? ~Sorry, cannot help to tease you a bit about this since that is like the most bemoaned thing I've ever seen in forums. .
  21. Amused, bemused, and maybe fuel him to make an even more outrageous one? Like being kuyashii about his costume? I like the one that compare Yuzu with cats and Shoma with dogs too.
  22. Oh Dear, isn't it time to cut this... conversation? Let us just accept that we have different opinions on how Yuzu see things and move on. Personally I think this costume discussion as totally harmless and Yuzu would not be offended even though he read how we spent our time to discuss it. (And I am sure he knows about this forum. The guy is happy to say nothing via social media to his fans but surely he knows how to use the internet and lurking here and there when he has time) Most importantly, the guy knows better to expect all fans to accept all his costumes. Heck, even costumes as beautiful as Notte Stellata and Haru Yo Koi cannot be accepted by everyone. It never stop him to wear those, right?
  23. Isn't it amazing what we learn from forum everyday? Thank you for sharing this, it kinda give some perspective on how you deal with a fandom(?). One thing I like when joining in a discussion is to share thoughts and bantering in a friendly way, so these kinds of information is quite interesting.
  24. For people who do not grow up with Gundam (myself included) his costume for Wings of Words can be classified as questionable. At least until we see the image of the Gundam itself and acknowledge the rather literal translation he made. As for Dory... Let's just think it as a beloved pet name. No need to get angry over it, really.
  25. Funnily, I don't really see him as a paradox. He surely is capable of acting totally dorky and serious at times, but that is something he controlled at will. And very well too, if I may say so. I see him more like as a kaleidoscope; with his sensitivity and competitiveness as an integral part of him, yet shaped also with an external circumstances and also family/cultural background. All those make him totally unique and I wish there are others like him (because the world just need it, lol) but at the same time I also acknowledge that the chance (of having more people like him) is slim. Well, that is why he is such an inspiration.
