The ninja boy (Yuzu) usually does not allow media to record his training. But there is a day before the competition season began (usually in August) when he (or JSF) invite Japanese media to announce his new programs of the season.

TBH I have a hard time imagining it too, but this is the guy who got cat-called for his hips sway at the age of 17 so... I would not laugh. Yet.

Nah, he has not making announcement yet. But some people want him to do tango because he has never done it before.

LOL! Yep, that is surely a big detail to miss. I'm kinda okayish with his older costume. Not really like it but not hating it either (because he might not have so much freedom and resources to think about his costumes back then(?)) Other than the NDP costume, I think some people also dislike his strawberry pancake costume. (I actually like that one though, sue me ) However, hands down, my favorite from all his competition + EX is Notte Stellata. With H&L for competition-only.

Seeing all those costume details making me realize that I love Yuzu (also) because of his costumes, and not despite of said costumes. All those gorgeous details... Although in Seimei's case I actually prefer the simpler Seimei 2.0.

I kinda want that one really badly since I skipped the Ice Jewels PC special edition, but I also want Yuzu's Hakama photos so badly and cdjapan does not have the Hakama's (I think) yet so...

Hell no for Wing of Words costume (consider this as not bashing you, but just a very shocked exclamation after reading your words. LOL). Wings of Words is a song with Japanese lyrics, so it is highly unlikely he will use it for competition. And TBH, I think the costume is too plain for him anyway. Currently I want to see him in black costume. Like really, really want.

I am scrolling down my Twitter and found several angry comments about the football debacle, but I also found this. All of my attention is suddenly focused on this. Any HD pic?

My issue with it not with the doubting one, but on speaking about it before the competition. Heck, even Brian had his doubt. But voicing the doubt before the event can have negative effect on mental health. I would not have BESP uncles as examples on positive mental attitude either. It might be because of their British pessimistic nature, but I would be rich by now if I got a dollar for every of their "but he seems fragile..." comments during competitions.

My World Cup experience so far just finding whatever scores and comments my friends posted in my SNS, so no comment either. Even though the comment is unfavorable, hope people can chill and let it go. Yuzu HAS won gold at Sochi and PC. I will only have problem with Kozuka 'doubting' Yuzu if it happened before the actual competition.

Read it earlier somewhere. It seems Kozuka compare Yuzu with Japan football team and the comparison is not well-accepted.

With all his dedication to his hometown and ice rink, Sendai is well groomed to provide more Olympic champion in the future. I think he tends to donate earnings he received as Yuzuru Hanyu (the skater) since he wants to pay it forward for future generation skaters (hence earnings from competition, biography, JOC, etc) and (hopefully) save the incomes from his contracts and endorsements. And, IMHO he would not lose incomes when he retired. More time to do things + Hanyuconomy effect = More income than his current ones.

Although Yuzu say it, I do not really think he would go that far to state his ideals. Scoring is still important for him, otherwise he could just retire and goes as aesthetics as he like in ice shows. With him saying that, I think he will do things differently than what he did before. Like moving his jumps distribution, not so strict in his spin levels but try new variation instead, etc. All things necessary to enable him to score high points without squeezing and choking the program to give highest points possible. And the new backloading rules "helps" him in that way. I am more interested in which music will he choose to state his aesthetic and style. Will he go more daring and finally choose J-Pop? Will he pick a warhorse? Will he skate to a tango? These all so interesting for me.

Boyang have it last season in his LP. It is quite low but he held it in shorter time than Yuzu. My guess why people don't use it much often is because it needs some power and skill yet it is not really rewarded in points. And they might not want to be accused as copycat(?)

Ah, I think this might seems like a similar case of Requiem for me. Much as I understand what he want to say, it is just too painful.
