  1. I've been (recreationally) skating all my life and still haven't found a way to do this either. And I always have to stop and re-tighten the laces sfter skating for a few minutes because I never get it right the first time
  2. Honestly that's part of the charm... just sit back and admire his galaxy brain...
  3. I think the issue was/is the fact that the last SharePractice turned into a big organized event. If Yuzu's just going to vlog casually, then it's not really that much of a time sink, but if he does another one like the first one, that will obviously put some burden on him to organize. Me, I'm happy with whatever, I can't believe we're getting so much from him at all. But then I'd be happy watching him read his thesis for Waseda or listen to him give a lengthy and detailed description of the finer points of skate-lacing... his voice is nice and his knowledge is deep so it's bound to be interesting regardless.
  4. I remember a time when we were all shriveled-up cacti, parched in the desert between Yuzu appearances, thinking sadly that his move to professional skating was going to dehydrate us even further... Now, well... we might just be drowning in Yuzu. Isn't it glorious?
  5. New Romsky vlog. He's working on his 4T (and says trying to get a 4Lz is now a 'personal passion project' 😯
  6. Would love to know where you've taken this sentence from, in context, because as some of Japanese satellites, who live in Japan, and read Japanese, have pointed out, this is something that Yuzu has spoken of many times. Rest assured, no one would have been on the NS cast list that Yuzu didn't want there. To imply otherwise is an insult to his intelligence and capabilites, and I take it as such. As far as Yuzu-style skating being rewarded here at Saitama, Jason, Kevin, and Jun are our closest points of reference for that. Jason had the highest PCS score and Jun got the silver when IMO it should have been higher. So it's a mixed bag. Reality is that no one's actually doing Yuzu-style skating here. Not completely anyway.
  7. It was good to see him back to good form after his struggles with injury
  8. I looked it up and OMG! 🤣🤣🤣 Yuzu would never! But I'm sure the song would make him chuckle I've heard the same genre of song in Quebecois, which, due to the nature of Quebecois, sounds like it might be somewhat religious, but is very much... not. Ifykyk
  9. Just scrolling through the past several pages and reading all the "how I got to know Yuzu" posts. I'm delighted to see so many new satellites!! WELCOME!
  10. No, seriously, please don't. The best support we can give Yuzu is as others have said: engage with all his social media stuff, watch his broadcasts if you can, etc. Also, if you still feel the needs for Yuzu merch, it's okay to get something that's affordable for you. And, sometimes, Yuzu fan groups (like the Planet's twitch stream) hold giveaways or merch raffles, always participate in those!
  11. This ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️
  12. Welcome! Now we have fanyu ENGENEs, this is awesome!
  13. And what part of being the "chairman" suggests to you that he wasn't the one in charge? I do NOT understand why there's this idea out there that Yuzu's somehow not the boss of the very shows he creates. And NS was very much his idea.
  14. I don't know what translation you're reading but in the English translation, Yuzu says right there in that interview that he was the one who wanted to collaborate with Uchimura and create something new. And Uchimura has also said that Yuzu was the one who asked him. Also, the 'hula hoop lady' has a name - Violetta Afanasieva - and posted on her Instagram thanking Yuzu for inviting her to the show. NS might not have been a solo show in the sense that it was only Yuzu, but Yuzu organized it as a 3/11 tribute. It wouldn't exist at all if Yuzu hadn't thought of it.
  15. So, because I like to torture myself, I checked out protocols and tried to figure out where Keegan would have placed if he'd gone clean... he lost at least 10 pts just in BV on the popped axel and missed spin, which eould have been enough to move him up to 6th, behind Jason. Assuming he'd have got + GOE and so on, the best he could have done was compete with Jason for 5th... I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or worse...
  16. Yuzu. It was Yuzu. The Notte Stellata show was 100% Yuzu. He produced it. He called it into being. He invited the other skaters personally. He has said as much and so have they. Just like Continues with Wings. Professional skater Yuzu is the CEO of his own life, as well as the King.
  17. I must say, Kaori has taken to being World champ like a duck to water! She was made for this 🤩🥰
  18. Especially if judges continue to save the higher scores for the later-skating groups, which makes a joke out of the BV+GOE system and effectively turns it back into the old, bad, reputation-based 6.0 system.
  19. 100%, and Mark also mentioned several times that Jason's kind of skating is what the fans want.
  20. In fact, if Jason and Jun are any indication, it's going the other way
  21. True but compared to last year when he had to withdraw because his boot was broken beyond repair, this is perfect.
  22. He's not going anywhere, so there's always next year. I'm delighted to see him skating so well. I want to know what Keegan's result would have been if he'd gone clean. I figure he lost about 15 - 20 points.
