  1. If one of the other members also gets a solo #1, will BTS be the only group that's done it? I know McCartney has #1s , but what about the other Beatles? Edited to add: Answering my own question with the help of Google: all four of the Beatles had multiple solo #1s on BB, but they all came after the group broke up. Of the Supremes, only Diana Ross had solo #1s. Jimin and BTS are so far the only group of the top 3 to have a member get a solo #1 while the group is still together. BTS is seriously on their way to matching the Beatles, or surpassing them, in terms of success.
  2. I think it proves his commitment to giving a good performance, if he does this stuff even though he gets embarassed!
  3. I agree! Whoever thought of sending these, good job!
  4. I just saw that, and my reaction was exactly the same. And then I thought "Good for him!" ...ooh, oohh! Toronto has an NBA team! Maybe this means there's a chance of Yoongi coming to Canada after all! ...but also, the NBA isn't exactly hurting for promotional opportunities already (its annoying how omnipresent their advertising etc is) , so what are they hoping to get from this?
  5. If you mean the Monty Python one, wouldn't that be considered politically incorrect nowadays?
  6. Well, now that Jinny's Kitchen is done, maybe Tae can finally concentrate on releasing an album of some sort. It seems pretty certain that if he does, his will be the last one. As hard a time as I'm having trying to envision Hoseok in the military, it seems even more absurd to picture Tae in there. I watched a bit of Taemin's live that he did almost the second he got discharged from the military, and it was easy to see why he'd had such a hard time. From how he spoke to his fans, it was clear that his only sense of identity at all is wrapped up in being an idol and a dancer. No freaking wonder he was having (rumored) a break down - it was the loss of identity! That'd throw anyone for a loop. (It's also really freaking unhealthy how dependent he seems to be on the fans' love. The guy needs help. ) So, with that in mind, I don't think 🤔 our lads will have the same issue, because all of them seem to have a sense of self beyond and outside of what they do for a living. And as much as they love ARMY, they don't hang their self-esteem upon what we think of them. So while I hate that they have to enlist because I happen to think it's obscene to send such gentle souls to go learn how to shoot at enemies, I'm now a lot less worried about how they'll do on a personal level. They'll meet the challenge and come back strong, I think.
  7. Or he agrees to go on tour with Yoongi. Which Yoongi seems to want.
  8. As far as I know, one of the China fans bars has built 2 different schools in J-hope's name in the Chinese countryside. Some of the fan projects are huge.
  9. That scene reminded me of the morning in In the SOOP 1 when vminkook drag Hobi out of bed to watch the sunrise with them. Except that Mang is somewhat more awake. But the softness feels the same
  10. For those who wish to know more: And there's also: ...but none of these are recent, and they're all from only one region of the country. It's actually really incredibly difficult to pinpoint 'Canadian music'. Except, we know it's not American.
  11. I concur in extreme! Bublé's music choices are about as Canadian as Chicago deep dish pizza. And you actually cannot get any more Canadian than Stompin' Tom Connors and The Hockey Song:
  12. You just know he watched the original MV a million times to get that dance down ( as did I, but I still haven't learned the dance. 😅)
  13. Oh dear...what kind of an image do we have...😅 For me, the most Canadian music ever is stuff that doesn't get as much attention internationally. Things like the work of Blue Rodeo or The Tragically Hip. The Weeknd is Canadian, too.
  14. Touché. How Bublé became the representation of all things Canadian, I'll never know.
  15. Given that it's a collab with IU, I'd say Yoongi was aiming at the domestic Korean market with this one. He's probably not expecting it to be huge worldwide. Doesn't mean ARMY won't try, but IMO it makes more sense to try and keep Jimin in the top ten, and especially to try and get some radio time for Like Crazy. That one has the potential to be a sleeper hit all summer long. Beside which there's bound to be another hit or two lurking on the new album; it might be wise to keep something in reserve
  16. Ah come on now, Keegan gave him a good run for his money
  17. Another thing that's different this time is UMG/Geffen put some effort into their marketing with their emailers...Like Crazy is available as a CD single as well as digital and I have so far received at least 6 emails from Geffen reminding me to buy... probably helps
  18. All 5 of them do. You should see the clip of them replying to a MOA who asked 'can I marry Bang PD?' In one of their chats. At first they're like 'sure, fine, whatever' and then Taehyun's like 'it's not our business', with great finality and emphasis...😁
  19. Hard to believe that Yuzu's only 28 and already has a 4th book in his autobiography series
  20. That has to be the single most loved cherry tree in the world
