A final thought about 'A Fleeting Dream': Although this isn't Yuzu's stated intention with the program, seeing the long swooping edges and graceful turns of the cool-down routines set to music and turned into a program proves an important point about figure skating in general: that skating doesn't have to have jumps, spins, or even complicated steps to be skillful, beautiful, interesting, and pure. The moves in Fleeting Dream are the literal essence of skating, which is exactly why skaters are taught them as an exercise. ISU take note.

I just realized what he was doing with the 6 minute warm up and Seimei right at the start , complete with Pooh-san and the announcer calling him onto the ice etc- he's recreating the whole PyeongChang experience for the audience so that everyone who couldn't go in 2018 gets to see it and feel it. Two things I'm taking away frrom this: 1. The physical effort involved for Yuzu is even more than I thought. He was so visibly fatigued by the end. Especially doing two such shows back-to-back. 2 TV Asahi has no clue how to film skating for TV. I wish we have seen everything in waay more detail. Other than that, I have even more respect for Yuzu now. He pulled it off - the whole two shows. Incredible. Also, watching Seimei now feels almost like a spiritual ritual. The way the audience is so still - you could hear a pin drop.

Yes but it's a really difficult program and it's tough to include in an ice show because skating it takes so much energy, and we all love it and want to see it. So, like, does he wish he had something that didn't take quite so much energy to skate....
