  1. Fabulous skate by Zach & Marjorie
  2. Marjorie's dress is so gorgeous!
  3. Allison & Saulius just gave us a whole free dance inspired by cellphone addiction. An excellent one, too!
  4. Ah, sorry. It was meant as a " look at what the Japanese ladies have achieved! ", not " Look at what Yuzu didn't get to do". I think it's a lot harder to three-peat in the men's discipline, honestly.
  5. Turkkila & Versluis have a huge contigent of fans here. Looking very quietly beautiful as they skate
  6. @LAY Everybody has an opinion. Mine is that there's no sense in comparing the men's and women's events, and that in women's the 3A is just not a factor in winning. Because if it was, Mirai Nagasu would have won the 2018 games *sarcasm* And if you're alluding the women's quads, I'm all for them, as long as they're done with elegance, grace, and correct technique. Which most decidedly has NOT taken place in the women's event as of yet. I'm sure Yuzu would be the first to congratulate Kaori, anyway. As she said in interviews, he's always treated her with great respect. Here's another opinion, this time on Ice dance: Smart & Dieck's free dance music is just downright weird. And another: Quan & Lim are super likeable! And better than I thought!
  7. She's so elegant and beautiful when she skates... but to be honest, I was so excited for her while watching her skate, that it's all a bit of a blur this morning 😅. She was so cute during the medal ceremony though... I just love how light-hearted she is. Once they got off the podium and started taking pictures, she was just having fun. And Chaeyeon and Isabeau were following her lead everywhere, like a mama duck and her ducklings. Those are the things they don't show you on the video feed. Anyway, we'll have to call her 3回目の優勝者 now. Three-time winner. Huge achievement for Japanese women's skating as a whole! (Edited this comment to better reflect my intentions)
  8. So he's in artillery. I hope he's religious about wearing ear protection.
  9. Haien is also having a rough night, it seems. 121, though? Really? Seems too low. Kaori 3-peats!
  10. Loena: super fun program. It was going great for her until she fell on her 2nd last jump pass. I like her. And her skate was worth way more than 123 and change
  11. Isabeau: I'm simply not a fan of her kinds of programs, but she skated it very well indeed.
  12. Kaori: Back on form! Built slowly, had us all on our feet by the end. She looks so elegant, and skates with such power. 149.67. Moves her into first by 19 points
  13. Been having internet troubles, so to sum up the last few skatrrs: Hana: exquisite program - inspired by Japanese cranes? Loved it. Chaeyeon: the crowd loved it and so did I. In first. 'Nuff said. Young yYou: not her night
  14. Amber: wearing sparkles on - what is this colour? Taupe? Greige? Lavender over peach? - not sure. Opened with a massive 3A. Popped the 3Lz. Otherwise, looked like an fine skate to me. She's crying in the K&C though.
  15. Josefin: it's been a long road for to get to Worlds, and I guess she decided to have a ton of fun with it. Just a really happy, upbeat program. She has great quality of movement, I love watching her
  16. Great skate from Katia Kurokova! She was super excited about it. 122.42.
  17. Mone Chiba: was doing great until the slip on one of her jumps. Layback position second to none! She's coming along well!
  18. Back for women's! Maddie: lovely skate from her, finushing up with a 2A *right* in front of the judges in the last 10 seconds of the program. Nice! 112 and change.
  19. My phone battery died! Had to race back to the hotel for my power bank. Anyway, here's some thoughts on the last group of rhythm dance: 1. Except for Laurence catching an edge coming out of her twizzles, all the pairs were letter-perfect, with no discernible dufference in difficulty levels that I could see. 2 Considering how much controversy there's been online regarding the allegations against Nikolaj, the crowd was remarkably polite... no protest signs or anything untoward. Of course most of the people there wouldn't have heard of the controversy. Anyway. 3. Fabbri & Guignard are spectacular in person. This program really highlights that - the colour of their costumes just pop, you simply can't look away, and they're SO good. And *she* is utterly statuesque! 4. Chock & Bates: they were excellent, but I'm not a total fan of this program. Not really sure why the judges thought they were 3 points better than F&G. 5. Piper & Paul: lovely, flowing where they need to be flowing, sharp on the beat where they need to be sharp on the beat. Love her costume: it looks way better in person than on TV. I don't understand the score they got. 6. Lilah & Lewis: So sparkly! Loved, loved, loved this program. Had to run before I saw their scores. I wouldn't want to be the judges trying to decide between these 4.
  20. Perfect Thriller from Marjorie and Zach - 82.3!
  21. Quan& Lim of South Korea are cute as buttons and just did a very lively Let's Go Crazy/ When Doves Cry mix. Great lift!
  22. Dang, I should have brought an Irish flag for Shane and Carolanne. Another pair doing LGC! - the Americans in this group.
  23. No need to apologize
  24. I bet Yoongi cannot wait to have all 6 on.
