So, I was talking to my friend who's ex-military and mentioned V being 2inC for his group. And then I learned something. Not sure if ROKA does this, but at least in the Canadian Forces basic training, the command positions are rotated amongst all the members of a section so that everyone takes a turn and gets to try it out. The idea being, I guess, that it's easier to follow commands as a soldier if you have some experience with how leadership makes decisions. Plus it gives the trainers a chance to see who has aptitude for leadership and who doesn't, AND it ensures that no matter what losses a section experiences, everyone in the group knows how to take command if need be - there'll always be someone with leadership skills available to take over. If ROKA does the same thing, we can probably expect to see Jimin and JK with the blue tags on sometime soon, too

Same. I think he looks a bit bored though. The photo session's probably gone on too long. I don't see the connection between the two things. Being tough is a consequence of learning that you can rise to challenges and meet them, even in arduous circumstances. It's got nothing to do with the military per se. it's about finding out that you can handle even the things you thought you couldn't. What you describe is about having PTSD from seeing horrors no one ever should. Whole different thing

Tae's actually starting to look tough. That's so alien to my impression of him up til now that I'm kind of amazed, but honestly, I shouldn't be; I've seen this kind of transformation happen to people I went tree planting with, too.

He puts the 'figure' back in figure skating in the most elegant way possible. As a former student of a coach who was rather famous for having weak scores in figures, this is ironically reflective of how much work Yuzu has devoted to mastering all the skills. It makes me smile to see.

Christmas update - both my brother and my sister gave me BTS things. I'd say my status as ARMY is now officially recognized by my family... makes me giggle tbh.

I want to spend some time hyping TXT while BTS is enlisted. I think they're equally as good, in their own way, as the Tannies and I'd love to see them rise, too.
