  1. If he actually is re-upping Ballade and Seimei, I'm sure he's going to knock our socks off with them as well. Suddenly Brian's comment in that interview after Euros that "when everything comes together, he can win" has a whole new flavour. They breed 'em trollish at TCC...
  2. Well now I just don't know what to think? I guess it's nice that I'll get a chance to see the Olympic programs at World's, but...this seems like a really really risky move on Yuzu's part. Guess we'll see how things go at 4CC. Bye-bye purple Origin . You were beautiful while you lasted. Could we understand, even if he explained, though? He moves in mysterious ways.
  3. I do believe that's what's called 'Living your best life', no? As chaotic as all this is, I really love it. Yuzu is a great man, no question.
  4. I could see him doing this just to enjoy people's reactions. You should have seen the look on his face after he surprised everyone at the SCI Gala with PW...
  5. Welcome to the fanyu life! It's like this all the time. All I have to say about the potential program change back to Ballade & Seimei right now is "HANH?!!" , accompanied by , , and . I kinda hope it's a typo. I like Origin. A lot. I wanna see it again! Now if Yuzu had decided to switch back to LGC and H&L, I'd be totally psyched and excited.
  6. Love the red pocket square! Go you, gettin' all stylish, Yuzu!
  7. We're running out of ways to make our own fun, here...4CC hurry up!
  8. Didn't we have this very discussion last year on this very thread? I'm all for Yuzu adapting an aerodynamic costume such as speed skating unitards in his quest for the 4A edge, as it minimizes...umm...*cough* you know, er...flapping...
  9. That's ok, clean-shaven faces are more aerodynamic anyway, to help him get his 4A
  10. He's certainly aware of how much fans admire The Waist...although I don't know if he picked that up from lurking here or from lurking on Japanese fan sites.
  11. Consider how assiduously they have insisted on pretending nothing's wrong over the years --> those involved are going to ride this thing all the way down til it crashes. Denials are exactly the reaction I'd expect from them. If the Ministry for Sport is serious about fixing the issue, they're going to have to get around the denials and act anyway. And an excellent place to start would be for the ministry to withhold funding until the fed cleans house and puts policies in place to protect athletes going forward.
  12. Well, given that Stephane has in the past posted shots of him and his skaters hard at work in the gym, building endurance (on stationary bikes), I daresay Shoma's learned what off-ice training is by now. I can't help but wonder if Stephane has run him up and down a few mountains also.
  13. So I wonder what they'll say, it sounds like they're going to say that they did take action.
  14. I understand completely. It's like, you want to stay positive and strong but the PHISD* won't cooperate. * Post Hanyu Injury/Illness Stress Disorder
  15. Actually, it sounds like it's not only figure skating and that the ministry is swamped with complaints.
  16. I came here to post exactly this. Gives new meaning to the term "skating mom" !
  17. Ah, I see. No, I get that there's lots of reasons why people don't come forward, I wasn't questioning that. What I was trying to express was that, if the rot goes to the very top, then the situation with Cipres is not so surprising after all, and it seems likely that more such revelations will be coming. I.e. does this new story point to a culture of impunity for sexual harassment and abuse? Because it could.
  18. https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/what-is-discord/ It started as a chat room for gamers but it's now being used by all kinds. Personally I'm not a fan, as in order to get the most out of the experience, you have to be set up for voice chat etc.
  19. Hi, welcome. I was waiting for a mod to answer your question, but in any case, no, I've never heard that we do have one.
  20. However, it is the only way to ensure these matters are handled correctly. Otherwise it just becomes 'he said, she said'. Look at the Weinstein case. Despite the number of women coming forward describing extremely disturbing behaviour on his part, his lawyers are still arguing there's no evidence he did anything untoward.
  21. Unreal. On the other hand, if this is the way things were in the French fed up to the very highest level, then the only surprising thing is that there haven't been more accusations made yet.
  22. I think this is why they sometimes have practices very late at night when in Toronto - part of adjusting the body clock.
